My wife brought a bag of four croissants through Too Good to Go for $8.99. She also brought an additional three croissants at regular prices. The croissants were big, buttery, and nicely laminated. All croissants tasted extremely delicious, probably the best in the Greater Houston area in our eyes. The shop was operated by a husband and wife team and they were very friendly and helpful. Y&H is my absolute favorite bakery. I found it by accident when we moved here and I haven't deviated. Their croissants are so legit, actually house made with butter. Huge and crispy on the outside and chewy and airy on the inside, just like they should be. Absolutely outstanding! The French buttercream is the best, and the plain ones make incredible homemade breakfast sandwiches. I hear they have great coffee too. The art on the walls always catches my attention, but they sell it and the artist is really good, so I can't wait to see more. Typically, we also order them to go but we dined in instead. This is also the one of the few places where you can find lemonade coffee, my husband really likes this drink. Decided that today was a good day to drive far for the buttery croissants. I reached at 9.15am so that I would be able to get what I wanted. I got a strawberry croissant with French butter cream, a French butter cream croissant, a chocolate croissant, a Danish chocolate croissant, an almond croissant with almond butter, and an artichoke spinach feta croissant. All the croissants were buttery and airy inside. The croissants were also nicely layered inside while the outsides were puffy, and the top layers were crunchy. However some parts of the croissants were hard especially the ends. The fillings were of the right amount but they were mainly concentrated in the middle of the croissants (the French butter cream) thus I was overwhelmed with all the cream when I reached the middle. The French butter cream was a little too sweet but the chocolate croissants were of the right sweetness. My favorite was the artichoke spinach feta croissant. The filling was good. Highly recommend it! The owner was super polite and courteous. Service is A+. The bakery had a nice cafe atmosphere. I would recommend to get the croissants to-go since they would close the store once they sell out. read more

We swung by to grab some croissants before heading to a family gathering. When we walked in, there was only one other customer inside waiting for her order. The entire middle row of the case of croissants on display was empty and what was left of the other flavors on the top and bottom row was very few. There was only one matcha croissant left so we grabbed that for my mom because she loves matcha and got 3 other croissants - ham & cheese for my dad, chocolate, and strawberry. The strawberry we had to wait for them to make fresh because there were none left. We paid then sat at a table to wait for our order. There were 2 employees working the front and an older gentleman in the back I guess making the fresh croissants. During the time that we waited, the girl who was originally waiting before us got her order and left, another man walked in to order, and a girl and her mom came in to apply for a job. We waited for 15 min and the man who came in after us got his order before us which we thought was weird. We were still sitting there croissant-less when one of the employees asked if we got our box. I was like um no and she was confused. Then she and the other male employee at the front began to go back and forth as she told him she had placed 2 boxes on the counter in front of him, both having 1 freshly made strawberry croissant and he honestly didn't know what happened to the 2 boxes. We watched as they argued which was awkward enough before it was concluded among themselves that they accidentally mixed up the orders and gave our box away to the man who came in after us..... At this point, I was already pretty upset as I watched the whole ordeal and realized what happened. Then the girl finally admitted to us what occurred and asked if I wanted a different flavor since the last matcha (which was supposed to be given to us) was gone. I was tempted to just cancel the whole transaction and ask for our money back because we did not get an apology from either of these 2 employees and they didn't even offer to make a fresh matcha croissant like they did for the strawberry croissant. I would have understood if the mistake of giving our order away to someone else was done if it was extremely busy customer wise but we were like the only ones there for a few minutes at one point...... When the gentleman in the back found out what happened (he seemed to be the manager/owner), he was the one to apologize even though he played no part in it and offer us 60 cents back for the difference between the matcha and the lemon croissant we opted to get as a substitute. We only tried the chocolate croissant the next day as we gave the rest to family and the croissant itself was buttery and flakey. Given the quality of the croissant, I gave an extra star to the review but in all honesty, the entire experience just left a really bad first impression for me and I left feeling very annoyed and frustrated. read more

Service is friendly and ambiance is a nice, clean, modern atmosphere with plenty of parking spaces share among with other businesses. If you have a tree nut allergy, they suggest to not eat their croissants. They speak both English and mandarin here so if anyone wants to practice their mandarin, then come and try to order. I dare you. Croissants are flaky, unfortunately lacking in the softness on the inside. I can see multiple layers so they almost mastered it (I came around 10:30 AM so it wasn't like the croissants sat out for so long). Unless you get the buttered croissant or strawberry cream croissant, it won't be soft on the inside. My vanilla latte was not strong and did not satisfy my coffee loving heart. No vanilla flavor as the lady probably forgot but still, extremely underwhelming that I just went home and made my own latte. We choose the ham and cheese croissant, iced and warm caramel macchiato. When I tell you the croissant was delicious it was beyond. You could tell it was made fresh. So flaky, buttery crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. We were given samples of the butter cream, which I learned takes them an hour to make. They also have other pastries that are so delicious. Everything is fresh and the quality is amazing. There's a good amount of seating so you can sit down and enjoy your treats with some coffee.
