I've been going here since I was a kid. They've been open 17 years and they don't have the funds to update as they prioritize the clients over the money. Karen always does an amazing job on my manicure and her husband Lee has always done a wonderful job on my pedicure whether it's regular or no chip. They haven't raised the prices AT ALL even with everyone else price gouging. They care about their clients and always make sure we enjoy ourselves as we get pampered. They're always checking to make sure that nothing hurts and they'll help when I feel a nail is starting to become ingrown due to my genetics. 10/10 ALWAYS WILL RECOMMEND!! read more

Peeked inside to check the ambiance and pricing because I had a 10m wait for some takeout next door... prices were slightly cheaper than avg, with $12 manicures and $25 pedicures...even the Dip nails were at $35 vs market rate of $40. However, the place is tiny, with only 3 chairs and everything looked a little old and dated... like Formica manicure counters... I think I'm more into a pretty place, even if it costs a bit more... just need to feel the Zen... and confident in a skilled job. Not for me. read more

I had a great experience. I called around and everywhere was booked. They took me within an hour. It's owned by a husband and wife who were super sweet and accommodating and my nails looked fantastic. I do acrylic and my fingers are skinny. Most places make my nails so thick it looks ridiculous. I love this nail salon. The staff are very friendly and do quality work. Karen does amazing French manicures! My good friend scheduled mani/pedis for herself and us bridesmaids the day before her wedding and everything turned out great. :) Otherwise, you don't usually need to schedule before coming in, unless it's something special and you need to make sure it's done at a certain time. I almost always walk in and there is usually someone ready for me - if not it's a short wait. I waited a long time on New Years Eve when I walked in - but that's to be expected when it's last minute for a holiday. They really pay attention to your cuticles and the details of their work. I've never received a bad mani or pedi here. Nor do they rush. My friend also gets her eyebrows waxed here every couple weeks, and seems happy with them. read more

Received a great pedicure by a gentleman and I emphasize gentle. I barely felt him working on my feet except for the massage. It's my first time here because my son goes to school nearby and it's a half day. Instead of driving back to the city I thought I would try them and they are wonderful. Very clean, smells nice and the people are quiet but friendly. I don't like to chit chat, I just want to relax and this was perfect. Stumbled upon this place while living in Chicago part-time for work from Boston! So happy I found this little gem, as Karen always does an excellent job on my nails using dip powder. I personally only use dip power on my natural nails, and Karen would always make sure my nails stayed healthy and strong underneath just how I like them. Btw she also does a really good job on eyebrows. It took me some time to try her from my normal lady. So glad I did because she knows how to shape your brows naturally to your face without making them thin. Go see Karen!!! Anytime I'm in Mount Prospect area, I'll be sure to stop by. read more

I came in late on a Thursday desperately needing a manicure for the weekend, and Karen was sweet enough to squeeze me in. She did a perfect gel manicure ($35) and waxed my brows ($10). WORST place ever. Smells like serious heavy chemicals to the point where I couldn't breathe. But because I had no other choice at the time, I decided to stay and asked for a face mask to wear. Place didn't look too hygienic. For people that have no idea what they are doing, $25 for a regular pedicure is a rip off! They basically just trimmed the nail, and buzzed it down with a machine. I have NEVER seen that being done anywhere for pedicures. They were very rough and made me bleed!! Not only that, if I have to keep telling you what to do then I don't know how you're running a business.....definitely not returning again! I had gone twice and wish that I hadn't. The man was nice but his work just sucks. Air bubbles in my nails, he made me bleed both times, my French was too thick and I had to keep on telling him to go thinner, and the filing and buffing was uneven. I was on a time limit and 1.5 hours wasn't cutting it when it was just me and another lady. All I had done was a full set and I've never had to sit that long anywhere else before. And he didn't add glue in between the nails so food or anything else wouldn't get into it and when I had him do it, he still didn't even get it covered so I'm not quite sure what he thought he was even doing. Didn't like it the first time but thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt but I regret it so much. Waste of time and money. read more
