I needed to find a new salon, and was so happy when I saw that The Owl & The Pussycat had availability since they're right around the corner from me. Cleanliness: It's clear the salon takes cleanliness very seriously, and the whole check-in and check-out process was quick and contactless. The staff was constantly cleaning surfaces, and everyone had masks and goggles on. It made me feel safe and eased my anxiety. Space: The Salon itself is calm and peaceful, with a nice outdoor area and plenty of room to spread out and remain socially distanced. It was nice to be in a neighborhood salon again. Service: I went in for highlights and a cut, having not gotten my hair done since March! I was lucky enough to have Jane as my stylist, who is absolutely wonderful. She listened to what I wanted, talked through her approach, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. I absolutely love my cut and color and feel like a new person! This place was cute but I'm really disappointed. Their confirmation emails and texts don't have any option to cancel, ONLY to confirm. I have a very busy schedule and did not have the time to call to cancel it over the phone, but didn't have any option to cancel or reschedule online or via text, like I said. I had no idea about their cancellation policy of charging for half the service. They refused to waive it this time even though I'm a new client who has been there only once and was early for my last appointment. I will not be going back because I don't support companies that make it difficult to change your plans in advance, then have no compassion for your own personal things getting in the way. So go ahead and charge me, but know that you lost a costumer and all the people I have told how great you are will be hearing otherwise. read more

I had a rather tumultuous experience here but I was very pleased with how it was handled on the salons part. This place is super cute! The inside is well decorated and everyone is friendly. They have complimentary tea and coffee and stuff and the prices are super reasonable (for NYC, lol....) So I scheduled a consultation in late April for a rosy gold ombré. The girl I originally had the consultation with left in the week between my consult and my appointment, so they rescheduled me with another girl without a consult first. I'd originally booked online for a Thursday, so they let me keep the online discount of 20% off even though I was rescheduled for a Sunday like a week later (worked better with my schedule, anyways). I came in and Christine, my stylist, was super friendly. We talked briefly about what I wanted, and I showed pictures, but after the whole process, my hair was pretty, but I really did not get anything close to what I wanted. I was overwhelmed and upset, so I paid and left. I called back a few hours later sobbing, and scheduled an appointment for later in the week to fix the color. So after I rescheduled the correction a second time (the salon was very accommodating!), I came in to see Christine again. I was afraid it would be awkward, but she was very professional and friendly. We talked more and I guess this time she had a better idea of my vision for my hair. This time, my hair came out beautifully, and I got the rosy gold/peachy ombré I wanted. She did a great job. So so so happy that OPC, a neighborhood favorite, is open again. I'm horrible at caring for my hair and getting in for cuts and color on time and Jane deals with this like a champ! I've been a client there for years...not sure how many and this review is long overdue. The service and skill are all you'd expect from an NYC salon but with a laid back inclusive friendly vibe! The space is relaxing and modern and their back patio situation is like a secret little gem! I think I nearly fell asleep out there today. I can't understand how but it was really comfortable even on a 100-degree day. With today being my first time in a salon since opening up after quarantine, I can honestly say they are completely on top of the 'rona! I was met at the door for a temperature scan, everyone had masks, eye gear, etc. I even saw some face shields. All the clients were in masks as well. My experience here has been puzzling to say the least. I had my first and only hair cut here last week and the whole experience turned wildly negative when I tried to go back to get my ends fixed. While I was there the first time, the place seemed nice. A bit small, but the salon does have a basement floor. They appear to serve small amenities to make up for the space. I had my hair cut by a lead stylist, Mickey, so I was expecting great results. I watched as other women get good hairstyles/color jobs, so I was optimistic. The staff and clientele skewed a bit white (like 98% white), but maybe that's the case in most salons...? The hair cut started out well, I felt like I was getting along with the stylist.. at least, I thought so. I asked for her help to fix up my hair, especially focusing on fixing the blunt cut ends. She said she would texturize my hair. During the haircut, I felt nervous on some times, for example I felt like she focused way too much on the front of my hair (making a show of doing work), and not enough in the back (not the same effort in the back as she did in the front). She also cut wayyy too deep into my hair when I asked for "face-framing".. and she only really did it on the right-hand side of my head. What I ended up with is some kind of texturized blunt-cut, which is not what I wanted at all. Plus, I felt like she sort of rushed the haircut around the end, which is why the whole thing doesn't look as polished or finished as it should. She burned me with the hair dryer a few too many times to be an accident. Oh, and she didn't sanitize a brush before using it. I watched as she plucked a brush full of someone else's tangled blonde hairs, brush out those hairs with a wide-tooth comb, and then use it on me. There are also pieces of hair in only the back-left side of my head which are shorter (something I didn't want), and when I tried to bring that up when I came back into the salon, I was told both, "no, they're not shorter" and "yeah, they're short because it's layers"... I had also brought that up before during the haircut, when looking at my head with a mirror, and it was casually dismissed then too... I've attached picture of my hair... does this not look like a blunt cut to you? When I went back to the salon, the stylist kept telling me that no, those aren't blunt ends... The back of my head looks really strange too, it's like a lifeless mop? Their whole attitude was really strange. When I came back into the salon, I didn't come back with an attitude or to be confrontational. I genuinely did not, and I know it's tough to really believe that on a yelp review but all I wanted was to get my hair fixed. I said I was a little disappointed with the cut, since I was expecting something that looked better from someone who was a lead stylist, but ultimately I wanted to fix up the ends to make them less blunt/shoddy-looking. The stylist kept interrupting me, kept speaking loudly over me, and putting words in my mouth (eg: "no, you said this" ... no, I didn't..). Any time I tried to actually correct her about what happened, she would just barrel through as if she heard nothing. She also told me that "pictures are lies" and that even though I took pictures of my hair, that it wasn't actually what my hair looked like. The owner, who was at the next chair over, eventually walked over to me to tell me I was making a scene and that I should leave. I wasn't making a scene at all, I wasn't yelling (although I had to talk loudly because the stylist kept speaking even louder) or insulting anyone or demanding anything. I feel like I wasn't given a chance to speak even though I came in very reasonably, and that they were completely trying to gaslight me and just bully me into silence/leaving. I was entirely willing to work with the stylist here (that's why I called, made an appointment, and prepared pictures so that I could communicate effectively with the stylist), but I guess they weren't willing to do anything other than be jerks for their own amusement. Not sure what the hell is going on here and why they wanted to act that way.. Anyway, I guess you guys can read about it and judge for yourself. The haircut itself was mediocre-to-moderate at best, something you could get at a SuperCuts, but it's still a hair cut.... albeit a really expensive one (I paid $88 total). The baffling part is the treatment afterwards when I came back to ask about fixing the ends (I even called ahead and set up an appointment). read more

You shouldn't just go to this place.. you should run there right now! I don't leave many salon reviews because most times I'm sad about the whole experience. You go in there with a specific idea in mind, you leave feeling like they just slugged you in the chin and made you pay your whole paycheck for it. I've had some bad experiences with some fancy high rated salons but never will I go back to them.. my heart now belongs to The Owl & The Pussycat. I came here because I loved that they had a e-consultation. I was able to send some pictures of me, some pictures of what I wanted and discuss my fears. I got multiple responses rather quickly of what could be done and some helpful hints on why this was the best. I made my appointment and then I was halfway there. The hair change day came. I was going in for a pretty substantial change so I'm always a bit nervous and full of possible regrets. My appointment was with Jenni and I just have to say she's the bees knees. She's extremely sweet, nice, makes you feel comfortable (it's scary with change!) and ultra talented. We looked at my inspiration pictures again and then the process began. A entire color change, a trim on my length and ultra short bangs took only 2 hours. When everything was finished I looked in the mirror and I could not believe it, Jenni knocked it out of the park. I had awesome hair. Seriously. People are complimenting me about it now. The best part is that it was totally affordable making it just about the most perfect salon experience ever. I know, I'm totally crushing on The Owl & The Pussycat but I just can't help it, they're awesome. Bonus points: "pussycat" is in the salon title. Double bonus points: Jenni and I discussed our cats in detail and shared photos of our critters during the process. Who doesn't love some beauty and cat chitchat? Honestly, this is the best salon in all of New York! If you're trying to find the right stylist/ salon- this is it! I searched and called about twenty different salons in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens before deciding to try somewhere close to my apartment! Jane made me an appointment on the sidewalk after her long day of work and after she had closed up, which was so nice! Right when I arrived on the day, they offered me drinks right at the door, I had a full on talk with my stylist and he got right to work! Marc was incredible, I cannot say how sweet and kind he was but also so concentrated! Let me just say my hair is long! Receptionist was so rude and whomever I talked to over email was a stupid dummy who didn't relay messages. I paid something like $120 for an awful haircut. I showed my stylist (who had really bad hair herself.. I should have known) a photo of Alexa Chung with long center-parted wispy bangs and she straight up chopped my hair off at my eyebrows leaving me with short blunt 90s kindergarten teacher bangs. I waited about 2 months to write this review, mostly because I really hate writing bad reviews. Working in customer service myself, I feel incredibly guilty writing a less-than-great review, because I know how much it impacts business. All that said, I really didn't like my haircut I got in December, and I thought it would get better as it grew out, but no such luck. :( I'd just moved to this neighborhood and really wanted a local hairstylist, so I found these guys via all their great Yelp reviews. I was ready to go from long-ish hair that I'd been growing forever (which was, honestly, pretty dead at the ends) to a cute mid-length cut ala Alexa Chung and all the other cool people with their swingy, blunt ends going on. I booked and said I didn't care which stylist I got (I read all the Yelp reviews/RAVES, so figured I couldn't go wrong) and when I arrived I showed my stylist, Kim, a photo I'd found on pinterest of the kind of cut I was going for. A fairly straightforward, shoulder-length cut. I told her I didn't mind some longer layers to lighten it up, and I needed to blend my bangs in a little more as they grew out, but that I curled my hair every day with one of those wands, so that's how I'd like to continue styling it. She checked with me on length, I said great, yep, go ahead and take those 4 inches off, and she did her business. When she was finished, I was totally happy with the length. I could have even gone shorter, but I wasn't upset about it. What I was surprised about was how many layers were going on. I'd said OK to longer layers, but I hadn't had any layers in my hair before and I really didn't want that much more. I don't know if it was a miscommunication about what "longer layers" meant, but the shortest layer was basically at ear-length, especially in the back, so what I'd ended up with reminded me uncomfortably of a 90's style "Rachel" cut with some soccer-mom mixed in. It was definitely a change and I wasn't sure how I felt about it, so knowing there wasn't much I could have done at that point, I just said I was happy with the length and that it definitely felt lighter. I figured when I got home, I'd curl it and maybe it wouldn't look so bad. Wrong. When I curled it, because of the short layers, I just got these weird, feathery things going on like some sort of Farrah Fawcett wannabe with shorter hair. I tried getting a smaller curling iron, and no luck. So basically, I've had to wait two months to even get the shortest layer long enough that I could actually curl it properly. Now to be fair, after about a month or so I started to get compliments on my hair when I just wore it straight. The layers helped give my hair some shape, so it didn't look BAD necessarily... it just really, really wasn't what I was going for. And the annoying thing is that even though the length was right, the way the layers are cut make it difficult to put it up to get it out of the way while I grow the layers out (the top layers just keep falling out of my bun or ponytail), and I really HATE wearing my hair down straight. All I wanted was to be able to wave my hair like I've always done, and she managed to cut it in such a way that I really couldn't do that. So does it look bad? No, definitely not. It's looking a lot better as it grows out, and it was cut skillfully enough that it will camouflage a lot of split ends and I won't have to cut it again for awhile. But I was just frustrated because it wasn't close to what I wanted (or even close to the picture I'd showed her), and it didn't feel like she really listened to me. If she didn't have a good idea of what I wanted because she needed to see the picture again, or if she wasn't clear about how long the layers should be, or if when I said, "I always curl it with a wand and I'd like to be able to do that still" didn't align with everything else I was asking -- why didn't she say something? That's the one thing I really hate; when stylists don't take the time to clarify and make 100% sure they're giving you what you want. Kim is obviously a skilled stylist, but I didn't feel like she really cared or was invested in me. I know it was my first visit and she probably has a long list of devoted clients to her name, many of whom wrote great Yelp reviews, but I wanted to feel like I mattered, too. So it's kind of a bummer, but I know my hair will grow, and it's looking less and less awkward as the layers grow out, so I'll make it work; I just have a hard time recommending this particular hairstylist because I didn't feel my cut was close to what I wanted. read more

I couldn't wait to get home and write a review about this salon. Here's the deal. I got highlights for the first time in my adult life at another salon. They weren't terrible, but yeah... I hated them, a lot. Okay, they were terrible. Mary at OPC explained to me that my natural color is a level 5 brunette and my highlights were a level 10. Plus, I had about two inches of regrowth as I got the highlights about 2 months ago. I really felt like Mary gave me the absolute best option for maintaining the integrity of my hair and not damaging it anymore than it had been. She explained that a gloss treatment would offer color correction without doing any damage. Today I was at the salon for the treatment and my hair was being a giant pain in the butt! The damage from the highlights pretty much didn't allow any color to stay. Undeterred, Mary kept at it and achieved what I think is the best outcome for this hairy situation. Okay, so besides Mary curing my atrocious mess, she's also really sweet and super friendly. Actually, everyone here is! I feel like most salons wouldn't spend the additional time (in my case almost two hours) to keep working at a real mess of a color, but she did and I am so grateful! Jane has been cutting my hair since the Opening of the Owl amd Pussycat. She is a wonderful stylist and also a gifted colorist --usually I find it is one or the other--but not Ms Jane she is a pro on both. So, a few months ago I went to a different salon to get my hair colored, I wanted a cool light blonde with some of my natural brown hair coming through. I didn't get that at all, I ended up with very subtle golden blonde highlights. I was very hesitant to try and get my hair colored again so I took to yelp to find a salon with high ratings, which is how I found The Owl & The Pussycat. Besides the fact that the name of the salon is awesome, everyone there is friendly and nice and the decor is super cute. I scheduled to have a consultation and I met with Jessica, one of their newest stylist, she's great. I told her I was debating on doing the blonde, yet again, or an auburn, I really was unsure which direction I wanted to go. She helped me pick a shade that matched my skin tone in both colors and eventually I decided to go blonde, because she pointed out that if I got auburn and hate it, it is going to be difficult to bring it to the shade of blonde I wanted. We then made an appointment for the following Saturday (yesterday) for her to color my hair. Oh yeah, and she trimmed up my bangs during the consultation, which I was in desperate need of. Yesterday I had my hair appointment and it came out exactly how I wanted. The perfect shade of blonde that I was looking for. The whole experience there was great, Jessica and I talked a lot while she did my hair, just about random things, she got me water and coffee and a few funny trashy magazines to read while I was waiting for the color to take. My name is Daniel and I am a hopper.. When it comes to getting a hair cut, I am pretty random. One day, i look in the mirror and decide it's time to get a hair cut.. This could be anywhere from 4 months to 6 months after my last hair cut. I travel a lot for work and my desire to get a hair cut usually coincides with some important business event.. I could be in Hong Kong, I could be in Las Vegas, I could be in midtown Manhattan or a Super Cuts in Chicago, it made no difference to me who was cutting my hair. My stipulation was cheap. I found a couple of spots that use to be 10 bucks..10 dollar for a hair cut and a 5 dollar tip were my only guidelines. If you were Russian and had vodka in a tiny fridge, that usually trumped everything else.. In fact, I almost felt that the longer my hair and the more severe the cut would be, the better the value. Sure, 7 times out of 10 I receive a terrible cut.. I have left bleeding or uneven and on more than one occasion, I have had barbers effusively apologize for leaving me mauled, marred and maligned. But, dear reader, all of this has changed when I met Camille at Owl and The Pussy Cat.. Located right around the corner from my house, this place is wonderful. Have you ever been in a barber shop where the customer next to you welled with tears of joy? The woman next to me, literally hugged the person working on her hair and then she twirled.. It was as if Vidal Sassoon produced a Life Insurance Commercial, it was amazing to be apart of.. But, getting back to Camille, though we did not hug or share a cry, she provided me with perhaps the greatest hair cutting experience I have had. I have never had someone spend so much time on my hair before. She thinned it, she put it in clips, she used techniques and angles of cutting that I have never seen before.. She was one of the more skilled people I have witnessed handle a pair of scissors.. We spoke about what my expectations were for the haircut.. She offered me a super styled cut that would require product and daily maintenance. I told her that having to take a daily multivitamin is too exhausting for me and that I have never owned a brush or comb. She switched it up and gave me the wash and wear version.. She cut my hair in such a way that it just lays perfectly. Since getting my cut last week, I have received numerous compliments from people that know me. They are shocked at just how great my hair does look.. Camille is the real deal.. I highly suggest you give them a shot. read more

I could go on and on about the attention for detail, care, time and patience Mary (and the rest of the salon) had for my hair but I won't. Instead I'll just say that 1.) I came in with a very specific idea-make my goldeny blonde hair white. I mean white. 2.) I also came in with an abnormal fear of "the chair," having experienced some real hair horrors in the past especially in regard to doing anything involving blonde, bleach, bitches or any of the other typical terrors of a hair salon. I went to this salon because of the reviews. I don't live in NYC, and was looking to get the best haircut I could. I had Kim who was very low energy and didn't have much interest in my hair. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for, and towards the end of the haircut, I couldn't believe how awful it was. I don't know how she is labeled as a "lead stylist". She blamed the situation on the photo I showed her. In my experience I can show a photo and the stylist can adapt what I'm looking for into my haircut and make it look good. I love this place. I'm always nervous about letting someone new cut my hair (it's thick, kind of curly, and generally unmanageable), so I walked into my appointment with Jane armed with a Pinterest board's worth of photos of haircuts that I liked and ready to launch into the tortured history of my relationship with my hair. I sat down, shook out my ponytail, gave the headline version of what I wanted in a haircut, and, while I was reaching for my iPhone to show the aforementioned Pinterest board, Jane said she was thinking of an Alexa Chung-style haircut for me ... WHICH WAS MY FAVORITE PICTURE ON THE PINTEREST BOARD I HAD NOT YET SHOWN HER. I relaxed immediately and walked out with a great haircut. Since then, Jane has cut my hair again and colored it, and I sent my visiting mom to Jane. (My mom's review -- she goes by Mary B. -- got caught in Yelp's overly aggressive filter, but she had a really good experience. Jane corrected some previous bad color and a bad haircut, and my mom ended up looking like a million bucks.) I desperately needed a haircut this week, and Jane was booked up at the times I was available, so I made an appointment with Drew. He was also amazing, and, to his credit, took the time to explain to me that, with my hair type, I would need to spend some time on controlling the bangs I wanted to get. Oh the Owl and the Pussycat. I first started coming here... at the end of 2012 when I decided I wanted to go platinum blonde from dying my hair black-in-a-box 6ish times while in college. I did a lot of research and decided to come to Mary because 1) all of her glowing color reviews 2) the price was unbeatable. The first time I saw Mary, was for a consultation and a color test. She cut off a piece of my hair to see if all of the black would lift and if my hair could handle the bleach. Turned out both were fine, but she made it very clear that she was NOT going to give my hair a crazy bleach bath in one sitting or my hair would fall off. I'm all about instant gratification and was a little sad when she said that, but I knew that she was right and trusted her. Boy, I'm glad I did. I've gone to Mary about 3 times over the last few months and just scheduled my next appointment for next week. She is AMAZING and her reviews really don't do her justice. She's great with color and is also such a sweet woman. All of the other employees and the salon manager are all amaze. If for any reason I walked in and Mary couldn't do my hair, I would trust any of them with the appointment. I'm a young professional, 24 and pretty spunky, but the salon's diverse clientele body just speaks so highly of the staff. There are plenty of mothers, children, old and young men, young professionals, teenagers, I mean I've seen any and every type of human in there and they always leave with smiles on their faces. I do not live in the neighborhood, but trust me. It is SO worth the treck. I recommend this place to all of my girl and guy friends and suggest you go too. I have a new haircut homebase, and it's only a few blocks from my apt= love! I'm very particular about my hair, and so after researching nearby places I decided to take a chance on OPC. I usually go to Hair Metal in Williamsburg, but it's a bit of a hike and the stylist I usually go to, has dropped down to once a week... Enter OPC. I literally only write reviews for places I hate or love. There is no middle ground. LOVE MY HAIR and love this place. I went in with moderate expectations, yet MARY CROCKER listened to all my wants and needs and, well, she completes me. She asked, "are you particularly attached to your tail?" To which I replied that i was indifferent and didn't really know I had one! Her bubbly, carefree, almost tourettic demeanor fits my personality to the T. She was funny AND talented with the scissors. This review has been a long time coming. Back in July 2015, I wanted to totally transform my hair - cut and color. I have long, thick, brunette hair and it just feels "meh" most days. My sister is a hair stylist but doesn't live in NYC so I said "don't be offended... But if I need a stylist in the city where I live... tell me what salon in the five boroughs has the best colorists" and my sister said, "hands down, Owl and the Pussycat." BOY WAS SHE RIGHT. I made an appointment with Cori and told her I wanted a cut that would be easy to style (like, as in, I don't use a brush or a blow dryer let alone a flat iron or a curling iron). Also, I told her I wanted to transform my color. Completely lighten it but in a way that I won't need to touch up every 4 weeks. Well fast forward 3 months and here I am going back for my FIRST touch up. My hair is the best it has ever been (and I have good hair to begin with). Not to mention that I get stopped at least twice a week by a stranger who wants to know who cuts and colors my hair. I've probably made two dozen referrals. I can't speak for all of the stylists at this salon but I can tell you CORI is a miracle worker. She's smart and friendly and funny and an AMAZING stylist. Fan for life right here. read more

(Four and a half stars. There's no reason for not giving five other than I have a knee-jerk resistance to five. It makes no sense.) I've had two haircuts (first from Melissa who's no longer there but gave me a very good cut; second from Jane who also colored my hair) and also had my children's hair cut by Jullean. I've been happy and happier every time. My current cut/color from Jane is terrific. I came in shaggy and grey and left feeling refreshed and ungrey. She gave me a cut that is letting my short hair grow out without looking dowdy; it may be my favorite haircut in years. Jullean cut my daughter's and son's hair and they were comfortable and laughing through the entire process. Without an airplane chair or elmo video, thank you! She is patient, doesn't slip when they wiggle, and has a warm presence that set them at ease. They both looked great and will be seeing her again soon. While I was there I listened to chit chat, saw regular and new clients be styled by others and all left looking good and looking like they felt like they were treated well. read more

One day earlier this week I woke up and decided I wanted to chop off my shoulder length hair in favor of a short, textured bob. So after walking past this place every day, I finally walked in and scheduled an appointment for a cut. Cody, my stylist, sat down and went through the four photos I had with me to determine what I really wanted (I was unsure how short to go) and how he was going to achieve it. He did the cut with a razor, which gave me the volume and movement I really wanted in my hair. Then he did the most amazing styling I've ever gotten before--wavy, a little bed-heady. I don't think I've ever been so happy with a cut and style before. Besides the perfect hair cut Cody gave me, this place has a great, relaxed vibe to it, and everyone is super friendly. read more

Its so nice to finally have a go-to salon in my own neighborhood. I first started coming to this salon last year and was seeing Drew for highlights & cuts. He was great and I always left happy. He has since moved out of state I believe and today I went to Jenni. She gave me exactly what I asked for - I have totally natural looking blonde highlights now and feel beautiful. Not only are the stylists fantastic, but the entire vibe here is welcoming. Everyone who works here is naturally friendly. Its nice to have a high-end experience without the pretension. I was a nearly ten year client of my hair salon on the Upper East Side, so I was a little worried about finding its equivalent in my new neighborhood. I tried two other places before finally finding The Owl & The Pussycat, and I'm so glad I found it! I got paired with Sarah my first appointment and have consistently booked her every time going forward - cuts, blowdry, color - she perfects it all! Whenever I get a cut, it's usually a trim I'm looking for, and usually, my hair is cut way too short. Sarah actually listens and takes off the exact right amount. She is also incredibly efficient and doesn't have you sitting in your seat for hours! Love this place - you can tell a lot of their customers are repeats, which says a lot. read more

It was my first time and I won't be back. Courtney did my hair color and although she seemed nice, that does not make up for her lack of talent! I went there to get really simple highlights, just at the top/crown of my head. I was SO specific and thoroughly explained that I didn't want contrasting highlights - that I wanted SUBTLE highlights to frame my face - really simple. I've had someone else do this and it was a no brain-er. My highlights totally contrast against my dark hair - the highlights look cheap and ridiculous. The highlights are super brassy and look gross. She even noticed this when she took the foils out and she told me not to fret, because the toner would do the trick. NO F'ing trick happened - except that she tricked me into spending WAY too much for the horrible job she did. My highlights look bad and the toner (just a few weeks later) has faded out and the ugly, brassy, highlights are even more defined, contrasting against my dark hair. I tell you what - if the person doing your hair, has bad hair, don't let them touch your head! I won't go back. It cost me $165 for this rather simple highlight job that should have cost $85. I tipped her well too, because she seemed social/nice and I didn't really know how bad of a job she did until I got home. I do not recommend going to see Courtney! I actually won't be back there at all. What a shame because it's conveniently located close to my apartment... read more
