A place we just stumbled upon that turned out to be more than expected. Beautiful first of all outside presence and inside. Live jazz. Magical dining participant and our server Izzy was awesome. The food was delicious and I definitely wrote this review while waiting for dessert because it's just that good.

Vines by H completely blew us away. We started with two drinks -- a margarita and a Moscow mule. The mule was fantastic. The margarita wasn't our personal favorite, but that was more of a preference thing and not a reflection of the quality. We began with the burrata and WOW. It felt straight out of Europe. We spent time traveling through southern France and Italy last year, and this dish genuinely reminded us of some of the best restaurants we experienced there. For dinner, we had the filet with peppercorn sauce and the pasta bolognese -- and we basically licked both plates clean. The filet was unbelievable. Honestly better than a steak I had at a long-standing local Michelin restaurant just a few days ago. The pasta was a surprise favorite -- completely homemade from the noodles to the sauce, and absolutely incredible. The only thing we'd skip next time would be the mashed potatoes. We finished with the bread pudding and crème brûlée and... WOW. Both were phenomenal. Also worth noting for anyone with food allergies -- I have a severe mushroom/truffle allergy and felt very comfortable dining here. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, which made the experience even better. This has easily become one of our favorite restaurants in Orlando. Christian was an amazing server and made the whole experience feel special -- we truly felt spoiled all night. It was the perfect upscale date night. Highly, highly recommend. Honestly, I'd put this on a must-visit list if you're in Orlando.

Went during Kentucky derby and they were busy! Not overly packed but good fun crowd. Many of the patrons look like regulars in the way the servers interacted with them. The food so good and the drinks were perfect. We are seafood lovers and our fish was cooked to perfection. This is one of those restaurants on a busy road that can easily be forgotten. If you're in search of good food, great drinks, and awesome service, then I'd go to Vines!

Met some friends here for happy hour and had a fantastic time. The remodel on the building is absolutely beautiful and extremely well done. The service was top-notch and the servers were very friendly. My absolute favorite are the sautéed crab claws and we will continue to come back just for those alone! The old-fashioned and the martinis were made to perfection. The vibe is upbeat and happening. The next time I'm back I'm going to try even more, but for this first visit to vines by H I have to give them a 10 out of 10.

First time back to the reimagined vines, they had some really nice background ambience that fit the space perfectly. The service was good. The wine was great.

    Charcuterie board

I started off with a charcuterie board which was delicious and I loved the presentation. It had honeycomb, meats, cheeses, bread, olives and fruit. Everything was really good. I then ordered a steak flatbread and had to return it because the steak was tough and chewy. I told our server Kevelyn and she was happy to replace it. Kevelyn was very attentive with refilling our water and staying on top of checking in on us. The ambiance is nice!

This place is ok. The service was good but slow. The server suggested the Lychee & Guava's martini. My sister in law got the lychee and I got the Guava. He was right. They were delicious. On the website which isn't update they a pear drink which I was looking forward too. The server went to check the bar to see if it can still be made and they couldn't. The server suggested the lollipop which is a new zeland lamb! It was delicious. Season to perfection with an amazing Greek sauce. My husband had the churros steak and he loved it. My sister in law and mother in law both had the filet and enjoyed the meal. They order a side of lobster risotto and whipped mash potatoes. They were whip to perfection l. I had the Sea bass with a lobster risotto. Here's where the star drops. The sea bass was too salty on top. I had to flip over the sea bass and eat the bottom of the fish. Then the lobster risotto was too much. The lobster didn't taste fresh. It's like they used imitation lobster. I think they used Parmesan on top. Which was also too much. My meal was the most expensive out the four us and the most disappointing. Our server wanted to do something nice for our mother in law but we had a show to go to. We were sat at 6:30 and left the restaurant at 8:15. The place was slow. It wasn't packed with people. Which surprised us. They had a nice jazz band playing music. Will we go back again. Probably not.

I'm sort of middle of the road on this place. The good: the server made things right when our table sent more than one thing back...but we sent more than one thing back... Happy hour drinks are served in the entire place but food specials are only in the bar and we certainly didn't have that info when we sat. It's possible it was written somewhere. The chimichurri steak I had was flavorful and I enjoyed it but my espresso martini was made without real espresso and honestly that bothers me so much. I should have asked. There is a live band but you can't see them from the restaurant side so you can only hear and it's almost too loud. With so many other places in the dr philips area I would probably pick another option next time, but they are in the bite 30 menu so if that's what you're looking for around Orlando it's an option for sure.

I went here during happy hour and it did not disappoint. The drinks were so good and the food was great. The lamb chops were delicious I wish I had more and the calamari and Caesar salad was great as well. Our waitress made sure to always come and check on us and made sure to get our orders in before happy hour ended.

On a visit to Orlando, Florida I had the opportunity to visit Vines Grille & Wine Bar for my birthday. The location is off W. Sand Lake Rd. And is located in a busy shopping plaza with ample parking. This restaurant is considered a steakhouse, seafood upscale dining. Today, we were served by Parker. Apparently, he was new to the restaurant as a server, but I would recommend him over most seasoned servers. He was pleasant, attentive, service-forward and accommodated our every need. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer as well the crab claws. Both appetizers were flavorful, but my preference of the two were the would be the crab claws which were served in a Calabrian chili butter sauce and accompanied by two toast points. For an entrees we ordered the lamb chops and scallops, a side of the whipped potatoes along with the bolognese. The bolognese might have been some of the best I have ever tasted even When dining at an Italian restaurant; sauce was slow cooked with just a hint of nutmeg. The lamb chops were served as a double chop and seared to perfection with a reduction and of an herb mint sauce at the bottom. The mashed potatoes were just average, but flavorful. For dessert, we ended our evening with creme brûlée which was served with raspberries. It was creamy with a perfect brulee top. This establishment also has a humidor for your cigar smokers. I am visiting from Atlanta, Georgia and this is fine dining at its best.

This was my first time visiting Vines Grille & Wine Bar & I was so happy I stopped by. I went for happy hour and arrived a little after they opened so I was able to grab a seat right at the bar. I started with drinks and ordered the I Love that for you, Resting Peach face & the thyme to shine. All the drinks were delicious . I ordered some happy hour appetizers. I got the Parmesan truffle fries, black and Bleu flatbread & the wagyu beef sliders. Everything was delicious. The ambience and customer service was phenomenal and I cant wait to visit again and try some other menu items

I hadn't been here in a while. After visiting in mid-July with coworkers after a conference, I returned again with friends for a birthday dinner in mid-August. [July] We went on a Thursday evening and enjoyed the amazing and sway-inducing live music (from the saxophonist), the large spread from the oyster special, the deliciously strong drinks from the bat, the superb culinary skills of the chef and baking/pastry team, and the stellar customer service. I was so full from the oysters, crab cake, and lamp chops, I packed my steak frite to go. Who knew a fennel slaw garnish would be a game changer for the lamp lollipops?! Oh, and the pastry chef's banana bread! Outstanding. I'm not a fan of bananas, and the flavor and texture of the dessert had me eating my portion and more. The environment was an appropriate venue for friends, coworkers, and our team's leader. [August] I'm back again for a different friend's birthday. We decided to partake in their Magical Dining option. We also enjoyed the Monday Martini special. The Magical Dining options had something for everyone, and the portions were generous. As someone in education, I appreciated being able to dine somewhere nice, with fantabulous food, great customer service, and get my money's worth. I had the lemon guava drop [in a short glass because my hands shake], the caesar salad (without anchovies), the skirt steak, and the rum cake. Again, the food was flavorful, and I was able to pack some up for leftovers. What wasn't left over was the rum cake. I ate all of that. I'm looking forward to when I can return.

Sunday brunch is a busy time for them so plan accordingly if going then. And I highly recommend a reservation. Ok, first the toffee cake. It's like a monkey bread but better. So delicious but super decadent and sweet so a good coffee or brunch cocktail is helpful. The cheese board was also amazing. Made in house, it's a good appetizer to prepare for the rest of the meal. The carrot cake pancakes were INSANE!!! I love a carrot cake and these were that but for breakfast. It's a big portion so good to share or get as your main. The breakfast pizza was also so good. Spicy and filling. The eggs can also be prepared anyway you choose. Major hit with my crew. 10/10 definitely recommend. Can't wait to go back!

I know there are a few locations but we planned to stop at this location specifically during a last min birthday staycation (but not *on* my brthday) If you look online this routinly is on lists of date night and good group dining spots and there will inevitably be a ton of people in the comments complaining about it being "mid" or "basic" but that wasn't our experience at all. We had a great experience here. We initially booked for the first time of our staycation but called last min to push back a few days as I wasn't feeling very well. It was no issue at all and they changed our reservation without issue or complaints & wished me well. The space is really cool. MCM in design with a touch of California beach bungalow. We were seated in a back room with a view of the lake behind. It was a bit loud but most places are these days. I am deaf in one of my ears so one I told our server & she spoke up over the noise and it was a non-issue. Appreciated because that's not always the case. We ordered a glass of wine and the "Shirley After Dark" cocktail (I know it's a wine bar but I just felt like a cocktail) loved it. Would absolutely order it again. We ordered the house salad which was far from basic and delicious and fresh. Very light and decent size. My husband also aired the Cauliflower app which was massive. The hummus was delicious. I'm not a fan of cauliflower but he raved about it. We also split the Butchers Pizza and had them out the hot honey on the side. I can't do spice after destroying my stomach in college so they brought me a side of normal honey so I could hector full flavor profile within my dietary needs. We got to speaking with our server whose name I unfortunately can't remember (light blonde shoulder length hair if management reads this) & she was very knowledgeable about the wine selection. We're not white wine drinkers but the FL heat is a little too much for a glass of red most days so we're trying to get into it. She had 3 recommendations and brought me all three to taste. Unfortunatly I enjoyed was sold out by the time we ordered it (which at the height of tourist summer isn't beyond the realm of reasonability) We then ordered the affogato and olive oil cake. Both were delicious. It was my husband's first time trying an affogato and it has since become a favorite of his. It was mentioned in passing while chatting that we were in a last min staycation as it was my birthday week and we didn't plan anything in advance and made it clear it was not my birthday but she still comped my cocktail and the olive oil cake and wrote a lighthearted "sorry we were out of the wine" on our receipt. Which was a genuinely nice & unexpected gesture. The entire meal was quite affordable even before anything got comped compared with other options of the same caliber in the area. Portons are quite large as well. While I don't love communal tables typically, almost no one was seated at the same table and if they were it was quite far apart (see photos). I can see that being bothersome on a busy night but we were there on a summer night (busy enough to run out of a wine) so I can't imagine it being typically worse than that So I say again, I don't understand what people don't like about this place. We'll be back.
