I liked that the website was very informative in terms of describing what trigger point therapy is and benefits so I decided to book a 110 minute appointment for Friday at 10:30am. I receive an email saying my appointment request is being reviewed and I would receive a follow up email. No further email was received but I still went as the email did not instruct to not go unless I receive a subsequent email and I didn't want to be charged for being a no-show/cancelling (their cancellation fee is $139 and you need to provide card info to book). The location is in the opposite side of town from my job and my work schedule is very hectic but I managed to move around things to be able to make the appointment time. As I'm walking, I receive an email saying my appointment is canceled due to a scheduling conflict. I immediately call, goes to voicemail. I immediately email back nothing from anyone other than instructions to reschedule. At this point I'm just irritated for driving out of my way to an appointment that was canceled at the time of my appointment. On my way back to work (18 minutes after my appointment) I receive a call from Lauren (I think that was her name or Laura) who is the assistant. She tells me she was forwarded my info from Corinne regarding a "mishap". She explains that they don't do same day appointments (I booked my appointment at 4:23am). First off, if it is company policy not to do same day appointments, that is not a "mishap". If they don't accept same day appointments they should clearly say that on their website (it didn't & she acknowledged it's not on the website). Furthermore, if that was the case I shouldn't have been able to book but there was availability from 10am -11am (for 110, 90 & 60 minute appointments). On top of that, even if I had booked a day prior, the fact that they didn't "review" my request until the TIME OF just shows the lack of care/regard for bookings. I wasn't even told what this so called "review" is since during the booking process it says the appointment consists of a 5 minute assessment. I explained to Lauren how unprofessional it is to cancel an appointment at the time of the appointment especially during a holiday weekend as now I won't be able to see anyone else until Tuesday. Had they reviewed my request in a timely, professional manner rather than when I'm already there, I would have probably been able to find another place. Lauren offered to reschedule or refer me to another place. Needless to say, I declined both offers as this experience was so unprofessional and I wouldn't trust anyone they refer.

She is very focused on my individual needs and goes above and beyond to give me tips and exercises to couple with my treatment. She always wants to get to the root of the problem and get me long term improvement versus just feeling good right after. But man do I feel good after! I hate driving but I drive 40 minutes to go see her. I also want to note that I have felt safe being treated by Rachel during the pandemic as she went above and beyond making sure the space had good ventilation and keeping things sanitized. Not only were they incredibly sweet over the phone, they were able to accommodate a last minute appointment for a 30 minute massage during my lunch hour. I rushed over during my lunch and in the halls I could already smell the aromatherapy coming from suite 105. Joani & Greg were able to get me in right away & I made it back to work right on time, even though Greg threw in a few extra minutes to make sure my shoulders were taken care of. In short - the BEST massage I've ever gotten in only 30 minutes - the man is a pro! I can't imagine what he can do in 60!! I'm definitely coming back.

I was in the area, saw this place and decided to try it since I was in such agonizing pain. I honestly don't remember the acupuncturist name. She was a Chinese lady since we spoke the same language. I informed her of my problem and she assessed the area. I told her I wanted a more aggressive treatment since at this point I really wanted to just cut off my arm. She approached the issue very aggressively so I would have more relief than a lighter hand. It was effective and I felt much better walking out. I normally appreciate a more light handed approach which I am sure she could do as well but I really can't vouch for how that feels since I didn't get it done in that way here. What an amazing experience!!!…read more I originally came to Dr. Sonika for my psoriasis. I've had psoriasis flareups over the years and have been able to manage it. But my most recent flareup covered about 70 to 80% of my body it was horrific. I didn't have any major life changes so I didn't know what could've led to such a flare up. The dermatologist suggested a biologic medication, one that has a 1% chance for people over the age of 60 to develop cancer.... I was not about to take that type of chance to reduce the flareup. I've heard good things about Ayurveda, but never really knew much about it. Dr. Sonika spends a lot of time in her consult getting to know you a multi layer approach. She identifies your emotional space, body type, (Ayurveda notation) and overall health through her conversation, and I think there was some sort of quiz I took.
