Plenty of flat area for large events!

Spectacular! The views, the accommodations and setting are literally picture perfect. The wedding we attended on a Saturday afternoon provided us great weather with partial clouds. When the sun came out, a huge beautiful banyan tree replete with a solid swing provided an immense amount of shade. The landscape is filled with so many beautiful local plants, trees and flowers that it's hard not to take too many pictures! Multi levels, with a huge flat area for event tents with a dance floor, if needed. The views of Olomana are exquisite, and the sunset was perfect as it was nestled in this beautiful Waimanalo Valley, tucked up against the backdrop of the cool, green majestic Ko'olau Mountains. Add in plenty of space for service up by the main house, water and electric available everywhere needed and small structures providing opportunities to rest (and restroom!). All in all, a venue worthy of any major event!

First of all, where the hell are all these cowboys at around the island?!! Damn. Good lawd...the…read moreeye candy. Anyway... Okay so, my son and I came out here yesterday for the Dita Holifield's All American Rodeo. Look, I've lived on Oahu for 7 years and only recently heard about this! I've never been to a rodeo before, but I will definitely be making this an annual family tradition ;) My son (age 5) and I had so much fun. The events take place over three days, but I chose Saturday evening (the last day) because it worked with my schedule. Gates opened at 5, but we showed up 7 when the events started. Honestly, I wish I had showed up at 5 so that we could have walked around while there was still daylight. There were events for the kids, but since we arrived at 7, we went straight to the stands. I felt my son didn't really get to enjoy the entire event like he could have. Lesson learned. This event was packed, and lasted approx 2.5 hours. I love that it's located in Waimanalo...AWAY from town. I live in Honolulu, so this was a nice change of scenery. Yes, there are a lot of people who attend this event, but parking wasn't bad. They have police and staff guiding the way, so parking was quick. Surprising, cuz parking always sucks in town. Okay, keep in mind this was my FIRST rodeo. The only expectations I had were: Beer, food, horses, bulls and fine looking cowboys. Welp, they delivered on that! Don't ask me about the specifics of the events because I'm totally clueless on points, level of expertise, and what should be happening. I just went to have a good time. However, the last event was my favorite: Cowboy Hula. I believe there were 6 competitors who signed up for this crazy ass event. No they didn't dance hula. These 6 competitors are given a hula hoop and must stand, or squat, in the middle of the hoop. The object is to STAY IN THE HOOP! If you run out of the hoop, or the bull knocks you out of the hoop, you're out! lol It's like musical chairs, but with bulls. I'd come back just for that! Fun to see who the last man standing is gonna be. The winner this year was a woman, I believe she might have been from Georgia. So overall, they get 5 stars from me. This will have to be updated next year when I experience more of the attractions for the kids, food, etc. Again, I arrived later. We aren't rodeo people, but after seeing those fine looking cowboys, a girl might have to learn, up and relocate to Waimanalo..ya feel me ;)

Cowboys, Cowboys, and Cowboys!!!! Need I say more????…read more New Town & Country Stables has hosted the state's largest rodeo for the past 3 years with over 11,000 in attendance last year! I usually hate going to big events because parking is always a hassle and I tend to get lost in the shuffle. But New Town & Country Stables does an excellent job with managing traffic, in and out of their huge parking lot-even to cross traffic and turn left onto Kalanianaole Highway! And never mind the large crowd. I felt like I was walking into my auntie's house instead of sea of rodeo groupies. Everybody-from the parking attendees to the ticket booth workers to the food vendors-greeted us with warm smiles, offered to take pictures of us, gave my kids gifts, and even fed us bites of fresh sweet funnel cake. The show is loads of fun and guaranteed to keep you at the edge of your seat cheering and rooting for cowboys you don't even know. But the daytime shows are long and HOT with no shade. I suggest you bring a blanket or pad for the butt scalding cement seats, an umbrella for shade, and get yourself some refreshing 'Nalo Made Lemonade. And when that doesn't work...take cover in the stables and cuddle up with a bunnies, feed the goats, pretend to be a cowboy and go for a ride, or relax on miniature horse drawn carriage ride. I attended The All American Rodeo last year and this year and definitely will be there next year! If you can't wait that long there is a Stars-and-Stripes Ranch Sorting event on July 2, 2016 http://thecowboycalendar.com/venue/new-town-country-stables/ that is open and FREE to spectators. I have absolutely no clue what it's about...but cowboys, cowboys, and cowboys! Need I say more???

They set up a 14' screen and projector, synced with our audio team, and connected to my laptop seamlessly. Their customer service is top notch and I would never say that lightly. They were prompt, professional, took the time to answer all of my questions, gave excellent advice, showed up on time, AND were the most affordable. I highly recommend this company and look forward to working with them again!

They were professional and organized and did an amazing job! Everything was perfect and I can't say enough good things about them. We weren't sure which DJ company to go with initially and were just looking through some recommendations. However, I saw Hawaii Events Unlimited at a wedding expo and decided just to email to see how they were. I'm so glad I did! Even though we were just looking for a DJ, they offer so many other services! So if you're looking for package deals, they would be really great for that also. They were super responsive through email and we even set up a phone meeting with one of their DJs, Nate. We were able to talk to him and he was so great, so that convinced us to book them right away. He listened to everything we wanted and totally understood what we were thinking. They also had a questionnaire for us to fill out which helped us with all our music choices. Hope, from the office, emailed us to keep us on track. We even had a final phone call with her to make sure everything was set. They were so great at communicating which made me feel so much better about the whole process. And the day of... AMAZING!! It was everything we had wanted. Music makes such a huge difference and it was such a great vibe! The music was just perfect, everything flowed so smoothly, they are soooo nice and easy to work with. What else can I say? Just if you need a DJ or any other services, I would look here first and see all the things they offer, and you can probably save some money too with packages. Great people, great company, great job. I'm so happy so thank you so much Hawaii Events Unlimited!!

Great location. We didn't even get a beach permit. We got married in her back yard and took so many pictures. Her back yard has beach access. Just the most amazing beautiful place. I didn't like it at all that she wore all black. So if you are getting married make sure you know what Jodi is wearing. She kept telling us that she was sick. But a wedding is a wedding. You should look bright and at least she should have worn something more colorful being that it was in Hawaii. Like I said make sure you ask what she is wearing because on my pictures she looks like the slender man. Pretty scary. That why I don't want to post any pictures that we took with her. It looks somber.

If you're having a destination wedding you know how it can be difficult contacting vendors...Jody responded to me the day after I emailed her. All her responses have been prompt. We were looking for an Officiant that is non-denominational, easy going and with respect and understanding of local Hawaii. Jody is the perfect balance of all that! When I met with Jody she first showed me around her property, right on the beach! If I hadn't had another venue I'd have had the ceremony at her house. It is a beautiful house with the yard right on the sand. I can't believe her price, it's very affordable! After the tour we sat down and went over the ceremony. Jody was very receptive to our putting our own twist to it. All in all I spent an hour chatting with her and after that time I know we chose the right Officiant.
