The orthodontic work that Dr. Feinberg completes is the most advanced and state of the art. He creates a personal plan for each individual patient outlining their course of treatment. I had a terrible experience with Invisalign treatment leaving me with a very large overjet (akin to…read morebuck teeth). Aside from a bad cosmetic result, this left me unable to bite an apple, or a piece of pizza or a sandwich, etc. Everything just folds up under the front overjet. Salad tends to escape as you eat - very embarrassing. The dentist had also ground down a crown, leaving me with an upper tooth that needs to be raised with screws in my jaw, and a tendency to bite the inside of my cheek on that side. Dr. Feinberg is a great orthodontist. He is very professional, his staff is great, his office is modern and immaculate. He explains everything with a great deal of patience and professionalism. He has a lot of experience with Invisalign cases gone wrong ! He also has a wonderful reputation among his peers, which says a lot. I had gone for a second opinion on the advice of a friend who is also a Dentist and Dr. Bilous in Fairfield, another great orthodontist, assured me that his plan was exactly what was needed. She also see a lot of Invisalign cases gone wrong. The lesson is no one should be going to a dentist, even if they call themselves a cosmetic dentist, to have teeth moved. This should only be done by trained orthodontists.

I had surgery on that day, and told to come back next week to check on the healing. 06/24 was told everything look fine, come back in 3 weeks. However, I pointed out, my gum line is uneven. Doc and nurse said need to wait at least 3-4 weeks before they can do anything. They assure me it will look even. 07/18 Dr. Amato decided to laser the gum line a little bit, so they will look even, it was about 2mm difference at that time. If I smile, you can definitely tell the difference. It was a very quick procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Amato checked with his nurse , he said " do you think I should do a little more? ", He also asked me that question. I was pretty confused , I am not professional. I left office , I sat in my car, I looked into my mirror, I was like, maybe he should laser a little bit more. I went back in the office, spoke to his nurse, I said since I am still numb, do you think we could laser a little bit more. She told me, it was not necessary, if it is still uneven, they will fix it next time. don't worry about it. Today, 08/12, another 3 weeks went by, my gum line is still uneven. Dr. Amato told me, first, he does not have time to fix my gum line, second , if I do want my gum line fixed, I need to pay $1000+ to fix it. Yes, I had small teeth before , now I have bigger teeth and uneven gum line, so if you are looking for a periodontics, would you go with this office?

My two older kids were treated for Invisalign and braces in CA and I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Braun from the second he placed braces on my 14 year old she has been plagued with an exhorbent amount of sores in her mouth from the braces that. Were put on defectively. I had to fight with the office every single time begging them to see my daughter because the wire of the brackets were sticking out and cutting her gums. When the Dr. Finally saw us he even said oh wow that's not good. And guess what? It happened again and again and again. Last straw was I called on a Wednesday and said my daughters bracket is loose. They said they had a 930am on Thursday. I told them that's fine but she has to be out by 10 as she has an appt she cannot miss. At the appt he took her loose brace off, tightened her bottom teeth all while scratching her gums leaving her with canker sores, a missing bracket and a broken bracket on top. She called me after her appt crying that she has a missing. Bracket in front and he made the braces worse. I begged and pleaded to bring her back after her appt. They ignored me, promised the Dr would call me back, (which he didn't) , and. Than at 4 told me they cannot see her till the following week. I even sent him a video and he still refused to see her. He wanted her to be with a broken bracket cutting her insides all weekend again?? I am appalled! I urgently phoned. ADentist in Darien who was miraculously able to see my daughter. Wow! He was incredible. He was caring , kind and it was the first time my daughter wasn't petrified for someown to be in her mouth fixing her braces. I called the Dr. Thursday demanding my records for all of my children and he has yet to answer me or send the records to my new orthodontist. Horrific awful experience!!!

Martin is gentle, sensitive to his patients, and cares about his patient's reactions to interventions. He modifies his work with each individual. Dr. Braun goes slow with a treatment plan when needed and is flexible; working with patients where they are at. They are like all medical professionals should be but so few are....as one size does NOT fit all and flexibility is key when working with people. My partner had a filling/cap come out on a Friday night -- the second time this had happened. He called first thing Monday morning and explained that the tooth was extremely sensitive and that he was having difficulty eating. The receptionist told him they could squeeze him in on Tuesday, so he waited for that appointment rather than immediately seeking care elsewhere. Then, only two hours before his scheduled appointment on Tuesday, the office called to tell him that the doctor was completely booked and could no longer see him. Their solution was to offer him an appointment in the middle of the following week. That level of patient care is completely unacceptable to me. This was not a routine cleaning or something that could comfortably wait another week. His tooth was exposed, extremely sensitive, and painful enough that eating was difficult. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of concern, understanding, or effort to accommodate him after they were the ones who had already scheduled the appointment. He ultimately decided to switch dentists. His new dentist got him in and had the problem fixed within about 20 minutes. It is incredibly disappointing that a longtime dental office could not find a way to address a patient with an urgent issue -- particularly when the restoration had already failed twice. The last-minute cancellation, lack of urgency, and overall dismissive treatment of a patient in discomfort were awful. We expected much better care and basic consideration from a dental practice. After this experience, he will not be returning, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a responsive, accommodating dental office.
