Had an appointment recently for 850. I arrived a little bit early and the woman seemed shocked. They didn't have my insurance even though I filled it out online, so they had to go through the verification process again. That didn't take long and I was quickly sat for an pre-visit. And then went with a doctor for the full exam. Had an issue with high pressure so got referred to another location. I do wish they would send you the results along, as I'm going to have to call them back to receive them for finding my doctor of choice for additional testing. read more

After two remakes and days to wait for delivery on my sister's glasses I would not make an appointment at this optical. It's just not acceptable. Store hours changed midstream. The glasses, when she finally got them, were dispensed with no frame adjustment...yes, they were crooked. The place is only open now three days, Mon, Tues and Fri. They claim temporarily but it's thru Dec. I was in the eyeglass business for over 20 years and never once did the shop change hours to suit their needs, only for the convenience of the customer/ patient. If this location is closed they should at least send the glasses to another location for dispensing so the patient does not have to wait. It's truly bad business. The excuse of minimal help is also inexcusable. Could it be the company is trying to save itself money. Not where I want to get my glasses. read more

Among the worse customer experience I've ever had. I visited the store at lease 4 times. The store is understaffed and customers poorly served. I would have had to wait 2 to 3 hours each time just to speak to a sales person primarily because they were so poorly staffed. Awful, awful, awful. I do not expect to pay co-pay of $55.00 for a retinal exam which is included diabetic eye exam. I called my heath insurance agent which they told me that I am supposed to pay NO co-pay at all . Eye Doctor charged me $55 after $215 for the exam.he said that I must paid 15% co pay. He should have warned me before the exam, not during exam procedure. My insurance agent called him and did not solve the problem. I follow the in-network optometry list. Next year I will find different in-network provider with no payment at all. I've had a few pair of glasses from this company and after I had a procedure done from Dr Parrish you recommended now that I go get another pair of glasses which I went back to get and I'm at the staff up in Port Richey and they help me and they indicated a specific glasses that I like and I wanted them and then they sent me a note saying my glasses are ready and where do I want to pick them up at work Richie or Palm Harbor Palm Harbor absolutely the worst nightmare ever they don't have the right order the order that the lady recommended in Port Richey and the doctor agreed was everything I agreed to then I got a notification that they're ready so I went there and the lady in the front was extremely rude and all I want is my glasses yeah and it just horrible so hopefully this can get straightened out all I want is my glasses okay they told me that I should pick him up today I went there the glass the glasses are there but they can't put them in the existing rims that I have but that's the way the lady Port Richey ordered it I mean it it was hard it's horrible hopefully it gets resolved read more

Unfortunately since Ben left there have been lots of changes, a handful of doctors have come and gone and their selection of frames is very limited. My last visit a couple of months ago was to have a new contact lens exam since mine had expired. The new doctor wanted to try a different brand of contacts. When I got home I realized they lacked the clarity of my last script. I tried to reach him by phone but he was traveling to other offices and told store personnel for me to revert back to my old script. Next I began to have an issue with my left eye so I called to see the doctor. This time,another doctor scheduled an appt the next day but wanted to charge me more than my quoted insurance copay. I declined to see her and ended up seeing an Opthamologist which I'm glad I did! It took me two weeks to recover from an eye infection. When shopping for frames the store gave me an incorrect amount of money that my insurance would pay for frames. I finally went to Target who correctly identified my open to buy and it resulted in my only spending $35 out of pocket instead of $150. Lessons learned. Target Optical is my new go to for everything optical. read more

Horrible. After I was told my frames would be covered by my insurance then I was told it would be $120. Another agent had to tell my agent it was ok to give me the frames at the price I was quoted because the agent I was working with was so loud while talking to me as if I were a small child he could hear along with everyone else in the store. First time getting glasses, terrible experience felt belittled for wanting my insurance to cover the expense and having questions. read more

Do NOT GO HERE. They scammed me out of $300. There is NO warranty on your glasses. I bought a pair in October, and in July - less than 1 year later, the metal weld on the bridge broke. "No Problem, bring them in" they say. Then they want $40 from me for a warranty replacement!! The glasses are NOT warrantied when you buy them. ALL SALES FINAL! ASK THEM FIRST BEFORE SHELLING OUT $300 OF YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS! The glasses are not 1 year replacement like other places. I did not abuse my glasses, I did not bend them. Went to Opti-mart today for a pair of readers for my husband. Had been there a couple years ago- so went back. Al was running the place - and doing a fine job. We had a script ( from the VA), so just needed the glasses. He made it easy. We selected frames while he confirmed our insurance. Quick- and painless. We'll have them within a week. read more

The sales help was very helpful with selecting the frame - gave me pros and cons to each (both expensive and less expensive). Advised me about whether I really needed anti-glare for my purposes. Very little pressure. The glasses arrived quickly and were as ordered. The front desk help could use some work. I called to find out about a discount through a vision plan I have and she never called me back. All in all, I would return but would be more proactive when dealing with administrative staff. read more

After paying over 250.oo for a pair of glass the frames fell apart in less than a year. After numerous trips to the Palm Harbor Opti-Mart no new frames and I will have to buy new pair of glasses. Hopefully the next vendor will stand be hide there products and work. read more
