Have been coming to this location for about 10 years. Today is my absolute last time. All the personnel there were rude and unprofessional. From the receptionist, to technician and the optician the most callous, nasty and sarcastic bunch I have come across in years. Myself and another patient were there early for appointments (9:00 and 9:20), the hours listed on the door were 8 to 5 M-F. The door was locked. A third party came by a few minutes to 9 for an appointment or walk-in, read the hours, looked at me and the stranger waiting outside and got in his car and drove off. Someone strolled in a few minutes to 9 walked past us without comment, opened the door with keys, and locked the door. From there things got ugly. I got write a short story on these "workers" attitude but they're not work the effort. Just beware. read more

I got an exam, doctor was great, got my trial pair, went in to order my contacts, the girl said she ordered them after alot of confusion June 12. told me it would be four weeks I called back the first week of July was told they were never ordered and that they would order them and get me another trial pair. After several conversations with the manager she said they were ordered the first time. its now July 21 still nothing, I was told by her that supply chain and because of my prescription it will take some time. After requesting 2 times my prescription I ordered online July 17th and received my contacts today July 21. Very unorganized and I still don't have trials or contacts? Time will tell?? I have told my insurance as well, because if they ever come I will take them. read more

Staff lacks knowledge and unhelpful. Upon entering this business, I was asked if they could help me. I said I was looking for sunglasses. That was the last words they spoke to me. After picking up three or four frames, I commented that none of the frames had prices on them. So I had to ask every time I picked up a frame. Then I asked if they knew the name of the model of the Ray-Ban I was looking at. They responded with the model number. I informed them that every rayban has a name of the glasses like Wayfair. I then told them I would Google it for them. Gave them the name of the frame, in case they ever might want to use that knowledge, then proceeded to leave. I visited for an eye exam with the intention of getting new contact lenses. The optometrist (Dr. Hunt) seemed more interested in getting me in and out as quickly as possible, rather than having a quality exam. Where a good optometrist will ask, "Which looks clearer -- one?.... or two?" Dr. Hunt rushed the job and suggested the answers he thought correct, "Which is better? One or two? One, right? OK, next...." After not hearing anything about my lenses for three weeks I called, but the person who answered could not reach their "optical department" (i.e., the person sitting at the next desk). I left a message to please call me with an estimated delivery date. Three days later, having heard nothing, I went in person. The "optical department" said she had been on vacation, that she had called me earlier that morning (not true), and that she had no idea when I could expect the lenses to come in -- perhaps.... 2 more weeks? If you need something basic then this place can probably handle it. If you want an actual eye exam and decent customer service then I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

First, i had an appt on 3/10 @ 9:15. The office called at 9:15 and stated there was an office emergency. (We were in the parking lot, after driving 20 miles to get there) they rescheduled for the 12th at 9:15. Around 9:20 the doctor came in. Waiting another 10 minutes i asked the only person in the store if the doctor knew i was there. She said yes. I waited 30 more minutes before being told i have to see the technician first. I waited another 15 minutes. Finally saw the technician, not impressed. She had just asked me to take off my glasses for first eye test. Then she asked if i hrought my glasses. Would not recommed. They scheduled me for 8:45am. I was there at 8:44am. At 8:45 the door was locked and by 8:55 it was still locked. Mean while I'm standing at the door watching 3 ppl look over at me and DO NOTHING! I ordered a pair of glasses on December 27th. As of today, February 11th one pair is still not ready! I called 2 weeks ago and was told they were still in lab and it would be 3-4 days. I called today and was told it would be 2-4 days. Very unhappy! read more

The service was ok, doctor was nice. Unfortunately they dilated my eyes before they let me pick my glasses. Once it was time to choose them I literally couldn't see anything and had to pick out my new glasses basically blind. I didn't appreciate that and wish they would have let me pick the glasses BEFORE I go half blind. (I wasn't aware how little I would see after the doctors appointment) I honestly don't really like my glasses, now that I can actually see them. I won't make that mistake again - but they should know better than doing this to a customer. So learn from my mistake and make sure to pick out your glasses BEFORE they put the drops in your eyes! read more

Brought my dad here to have an eye exam done. We were immediately greeted by one of the two ladies working in the store front. There wasn't enough seats for my dad and I sit and fill out his application, so we decided to stand; however one of the ladies noticed we were standing and was kind enough to let us know that we could sit at on of the tables at the back of the store. Greatly appreciated that! The wait time wasn't bad at all actually. My dad got in and out in such a reasonable time frame, again- appreciated! The selection of glasses on the wall were plenty. My dad found at least 3 that he really liked so that was a plus! Optimart sits in a plaza with Beals, Home Depot and several other interesting stores that I would like to walk into. Forget this place front help is no good. The doctor was good. I wanted a pair of glasses but they didn't save the ones I picked out. So after I get drops in my eyes I can't see to pick them again. They said my credit card was bad and I check it out on my phone gave them a debit. It worked and my credit card showed I had lots of money on my phone app. This place is dead to me. read more

The staff is unknowledgeable. They need to take a training course on how insurance works- (this is coming from a licensed insurance agent).They only care about sales. They do not care about you. After you leave the office you are going to wish you would of listened to your wife and just went to eyeglass world. Even though my insurance covers everything they charged me $51 towards my frames. I never received the frames in which they communicated to me they had already ordered. Instead of a refund, I got a store credit- meaning I donated my money to them. I ordered contacts and come to find out they have had them for weeks-(I was told they would be delivered to my house). Now I need to schedule an appointment to get closed out or I will be charged a contact fitting fee a second time. This makes no sense. This place makes going to the eye doctor painful. Also it takes forever to even get your glasses ordered. Eyeglass world does same day. Sorry for ranting. Long story short. Save time, money, and stress. Just go somewhere else. Used to be a good place for glasses. No more! Dr Honeycut is gone. SHE WAS GREAT. Got bad prescription from new Dr. They remade glasses still can't see. Went to Kaufman eye they said prescription was bad. Optimart wants $200 to fix mistake. Seems like their price went up and service went down. read more

I went for reading glasses so that I could view the computer screen with less eye strain and read books comfortably. I showed them the "3 for $20 glasses" I used for years at 1.5 and 1.75 power. What they provided was so strong (3.0 +) I couldn't read a darn thing. "Give it a week to get used to" they said. I gave if 2 days and went back. "You didn't want reading glasses, you wanted INTERMEDIATE glasses." Huh? I asked the doctor to show me where the "intermediate glasses" are a Walgreen's or any other store. I wanted glasses that would help me read more easily holding documents and computers at standard distances - standard desktop, standard arm chair. They prescribed based on their textbook definition, not common or individual use or what I showed them I meant and then argued about it. read more
