The optometrist who eventually DID see me (not the one with whom I'd made an appointment) told me immediately that they do not handle my type of lenses (rigid gas-permeables). They should have told me that when I made the appointment, or when I checked in, but not after I'd wasted an hour waiting. The optometrist also told me that to do a proper examination for RGP lenses I would have to avoid wearing them for at least a month prior. This is nonsense. I have been wearing such lenses for 40 years (longer than she's been an optometrist) and have never heard such a requirement. This is another strip-mall factory for overpriced glasses. If you want a proper optometrist, or even courteous treatment, I recommend you look elsewhere.

However, when I was trying to order contacts from 1800Contacts (which I do at least 4 time a year). Eye Site Center refused to renew my prescription because I didn't do the "contacts exam"... They never even told me I either needed it or would like to do it in August. So, they were trying to have me come in and pay for another exam that was not needed. All they had to do was renew my prescription from last year's "contact exam" or use the results from the August exam and I will be able to order my contacts. Which I ONLY NEEDED TILL January since I will be doing LASIK. I will no longer continue to do any eye exams at this location! You've been warned!!!

Myself and another patient were there early for appointments (9:00 and 9:20), the hours listed on the door were 8 to 5 M-F. The door was locked. A third party came by a few minutes to 9 for an appointment or walk-in, read the hours, looked at me and the stranger waiting outside and got in his car and drove off. Someone strolled in a few minutes to 9 walked past us without comment, opened the door with keys, and locked the door. From there things got ugly. The staff in the reception area are so kind, and very knowledgeable in letting you know what is covered under your plan. I never have to wait too long to be seen. In fact, all of my appointments have been on time. The technicians are great with getting you through each eye test station, and scanning the back of the eye with all the latest technology. It's an additional cost (not covered) for the OCT, but it's well worth it. It's highly recommended if you have a family history of glaucoma (like me). I've been seeing Dr. Hollis and Dr. Wright for 3 years now. They are both wonderful. They've been great in addressing all of my concerns, and offering great solutions. I've also been super happy with the opticians. I wasn't really able to wear progressive lenses until coming to this practice. I'm not sure why. All I can say is that every pair I've received here have been perfect. Picking out frames by myself has never been an easy task. The opticians here have always been able to find the right frames for the shape of my face. They make the whole frame shopping experience seamless and pleasant. I never feel rushed to make a decision. I never feel like they are trying to sell me expensive frames, unless I'm leaning that way. They truly have a knack for finding the right fit, and at a good price range. I don't think I've ever had an issue with the finished product. It's always a great experience!
