After my experience today, I will 100% drive to the Brandon location rather than dealing with the terrible customer service provided at this location. On 2 separate occasions I tried to pick up my daughter's glasses. On both occasions employees just sat there watching customers and having us wait. Apparently it takes two employees to help a customer as well when it comes to fitting glasses and placing orders. The first time I left after 20 minutes of waiting there because I had somewhere else to be. Today after 10 minutes I asked how long the wait would be and the chick stood up and grabbed the glasses and set them in front of us. After a few minutes I grabbed them to have my daughter try them on and this chick across the room raised her voice (essentially shouted) and said don't touch them until you're helped. Then proceeded to come to us and ask my daughter to try them on and see the wall on the other side of the room. I told her they were replacement glasses and the vision had nothing to do with it and I grabbed them to see if any adjustments needed to be made so they don't fall off her face. Please explain why it took me grabbing the glasses to finally be helped when she had been sitting there from the second I stepped foot in there and why was it okay to snatch them from where I had put them when she told me to stop? Are you okay and who hurt you that you felt the need to do this in a public setting, more specifically your place of work? Additionally, before I left I told her next time before she decides to raise her voice at a customer to ask herself if that's how she wants to be treated. There was no need to raise her voice or make a huge scene out of nothing as I paid for these glasses... Treat others the way you want to be treated, common sense I would think but apparently not so common at this location. Lastly had she read the note she would've known they were just replacements before making a huge scene and making it seem as if I was stealing glasses I had already paid for. Teach your employees how to be respectful towards your customers as this scene was truly uncalled for and beyond disrespectful. Also, if I'm picking up there is no need for me to wait 20+ mins when I'm grabbing and going, especially when my daughter wasn't present the first time. I've never ever experienced this type of disrespect with the Brandon location and from reading the reviews apparently this is pretty normal for this location which is truly a shame. *** also if it's a replacement make sure you get that in writing because they like to make calls telling you that you still need to return the old pair even though it's in their possession. FALSE ADVERTISING! On January 30 we visited Eyeglass World expecting to receive two pair of glasses for well under $200.00. We had called ahead to make sure they accepted Blue Shield Insurance. They had said yes, we do. Once we began looking at the glasses selections we were told that Oh no, this special can't be purchased with insurance. We had to buy only one pair of glasess (off the same rack) to have them covered with insurance. The cost came to $334.00 less our $200.00 insurnace allowance- net cost $134.00! They also had told my wife that they could put our new lenses into her own very nice frames. But, at the last minute...we were told that due to the 'snapping in' required to put the lenses in, the frame may break. We decided to purchase my wife's glasses elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE! read more

First and foremost I want to say that I hate giving negative reviews for any place but I want to share my experience visiting this place so that someone else's day or peace isn't disrupted by coming here. I recently came into this business shopping for eye glasses for me and my son. From the moment that I walked in no one said a word to me they simply looked up at me and continued doing whatever they were doing, I tried not to take it personal so I stood there waiting and looking at frames. Mind you there are no other customers looking at frames just me ( remember that part) . As I'm waiting another person walks into the store and is immediately greeted and asked if they could help her. So I said to the young man I've been in your store for almost 10 minutes waiting patiently and no one has said a word to me. The young man apologized and said that I can have a seat and someone will help me. Again trying to be understanding I sit down and wait. As I'm waiting yet another person walks into the building with a question ( not appointment) and she greeted immediately and was helped while I'm sitting there waiting. To say the least at this point I got up and walked out. I would not suggest patronizing this business for the simple reason that they are very unprofessional. Or at least toward African American customers and that's their right but be proud of it put a sign on the door that says it, it will save you and everyone else time. Today, I had a great experience at Eyeglass World in Riverview. I received exceptional service from the moment I walked in. Everyone was friendly and professional. Jessica greeted me and guided me to my eye appointment. The eye exam was thorough and well-done. Jessica also helped me choose the right glasses and complete the checkout process. I was able to get one pair of glasses the same day, while the other pair had to be ordered. I will definitely return for all my vision needs. Veronica was also very friendly, attentive, and helpful, not only to the customers but also to the staff, which was admirable to see! read more

Talk about great service?! First off, you can't beat their prices. Second, their customer service is top notch and I believe everyone should be as nice and courteous as the employees at this place. That being said, Vieronica was such a sweetheart to me and my family, I've gone in there twice so far and every time, she has always been so welcoming. Had a warranty from a different eye glass world when i lived in naples. No problem my glasses broke they got me new ones right away. They actually had the same frames in the store. They just boop booped and put them in the new ones. I tried it on and got out for free. So nice they helped me before alot of people and there was a huge line it seemed. Also the deals are good mine was 2 for 189 for 2 designer pairs. You can get 2 for 99 but they have really thick standard pairs. I would pay a little extra to get nicer even though mine broke within a year. Still they fixed it for free :) . read more

I had an amazing experience beginning to end at this location of eye glass world. Everyone was extremely friendly and explained everything throughly. The eye doctor, Briyana Theodore, was very upbeat and knowledgeable. My sales associate, Katie, was so helpful in helping me pick out a pair of new glasses. My 5yo daughter broke her glasses that we got from a different store and this was the second time in months so I knew I wanted to find a new store to get her glasses from. Since she needed glasses same-day, I looked up who does that and if they had a good kids selection, which Eyeglass World popped up. This location just opened a couple of weeks ago so I didn't even know it was an option. I am SO glad I went to this store! The associate, LeOnnie, was very helpful, patient, listened, and went over the top in helping me get the best deal (out of pocket vs using insurance). My daughter's glasses were ready in 2 hours! A different associate helped fit my daughter's glasses and she was just wonderful with her, she had a calming presence and took her time to adjust them for her.
