Word of mouth! Last week, Pearle vision associates referred me here for my specialties sunglasses to hopefully be restored. I came over last week. They were closing had a quick trip so I wasn't able to get back before this week, but my Life would have it that I was working in the area so it worked out just fine.. had a pair of sunglasses that last year got knocked off the counter unbeknown to me. They were so classic. They still had a glass lens versus plastic and needed a specialty optician to assist me. Jerry was working, looked at them and immediately,knew CC how he could help?. he told me he could have them ready in 2 1/2 hours. Mind you I have held them in my eyeglass holder at my in my car for over one year.. The price was within normal limits. The customer service was excellent historically we have given them five stars again I give them five stars thank you Jerry and J. Crimi eyewear boutique. And a sidenote, I needed a screw for some other work eyewear and these are also specialty and although they could not assist me with those it wasn't because they didn't try. Yesterday, I had two of my wife's Gucci eyeglasses 100% repaired professionally and at no-cost, as advertised! One of the eyeglasses had a loose screw and glass. I was in Las Vegas for a couple of days, and because the universe has a sense of humor, I managed to break the temple on my silhouette glasses. If you've ever owned these things, you know they're not the kind of frames you can fix with a dab of superglue and a steady hand. They're precision-engineered, spaceship-level eyewear. Enter J Crimini Eyewear. I found them on Yelp, saw the rave reviews, and decided to chance it. Walked in without an appointment, slightly panicked, half-blind, and expecting to hear, "Sorry, mate, we'll have to send these to some secret lab in Switzerland." Absolutely killer line-up of deals: rather attractive frames that you can get decent lenses in for around 125 to 250. If you are in the market for something more premium, they also carry a decent selection of designer and respected legacy brands. My favorite pieces they had in stock were their store brand/label. The lense holes were about the size of my eyeballs, yet covered all but the very edges of my vision, the owner did a magnificent job with the design to say the least. Speaking of the owner, he's a total sweetheart. He was in the middle of organizing a charity drive for used glasses when I came in, and was apologetic about the service. Really endearing as the service was fantastic: he was quick to get out the frames I wanted, was knowledgeable enough with his inventory to pull out pieces in the back that fixed any hangups I had with the display products, was able to explain the background behind some brands I'd never heard of, and was extremely passionate about quality craftsmanship. I, unfortunately, was unable to find the frames I wanted during my visit, but look forward to visiting the store again next year. read more

I was impressed from the moment I walked in and was greeted by James. I was treated with such a friendly and professional demeanor. James took time to speak to me on a personal level, which I appreciated. Dr. Helmick also is an excellent professional. He performed all of the testing himself; quite unusual in today's fast paced world where quantity is prioritized over quality. He took the time to answer all my questions and performed a thorough eye exam. I did require a change in my prescription and James discussed options with me. I was given the option to replace the lenses in my existing frames! This surprised me as most opticians want to generate more profit by selling new frames to their customers. Right now on their website, they are advertising 20-30% off. If you have vision insurance, they will give you a receipt, to turn into your insurance company. They are an owner operated business. The owner is a World Class Optometrist, and he has been there for 15 years. They give you one on one personal service, which is tough to get, at other like businesses. They will also repair your glasses for you, no matter where you purchased them! They have a community outreach program. If you bring in your old eyeglasses, that you aren't using anymore, they will refurbish them and give them to people in need of glasses, that aren't able to get them on their own.
