Steven is the guy!!! I went there with my glass Ray-Ban without lenses that got broken and I had the replacement ordered from the Ray-Ban site. Steven is the technician of the lab and he was super nice, he replaced my lenses and fixed the entire metal frame that was stepped on and they came back as new! Best Optical store I have ever been into. The brands they offer are tastefully selected, the location of the store is convenient and the service is top notch. Janine and Armen are great! Janine helped my fiance and I pick out some new frames. Actually the first pair she asked me try on were the ones I ended up buying; even though I waited on the decision for a week before i went back in to make my purchase (Trying to get better at impulse buys). Janine is a real peach. She was extremely gracious with her time, spending the better part of an hour with us, while we walked around the store trying on all there amazing frames. In no way was i pressured into a purchase. Like i said, it took me a week to return and make my purchase and i was greeted with the same warm welcome as the first time i walked into the shop. She even entertained my indecisiveness and let me try on a few more frames before i settled on my new pair(which i'll say again were the first ones she suggested i try on). I will start off by saying: I have been wearing prescription glasses since I was six years old, so I have had my fair share of "new glasses buying experiences". The best experience I have had getting new frames was at Optical Connection. My fiancée and I walked in on a whim one day on our way to Trader Joes next door (we both needed new specs and had been saying we would go find some for weeks). The store feels very upscale and it is obvious that the selection of frames is tailored for their clientele. We ended up spending at least an hour with Janine, trying on different frames and analyzing their shape on our faces. We both found a pair that we loved (actually the first pairs we both tried on) but left that day empty handed; not once were we pressured to buy. As we walked out I said out loud to my fiancée "Janine is so great, I almost wanted to ask her to go grab a drink!", because she had been so genuinely kind, funny, friendly and attentive to our needs. About a week later we decided it was time to go make our purchase. We had enough nights to sleep on the frames we tried on. That day we stopped at another optical store in the area to see if they had anything different, better, etc. We were extremely unimpressed with this other shop and were missing Janine so we quickly got over to Optical Connection. Again we were warmly greeted by Janine and Armen (another fantastic employee) and spent at least another hour trying on and analyzing our frames; I mean you wear these things on your face for a while!!! A few other people came into the shop but Janine stayed focused on us. A women who seemed like a "regular customer" came in and Janine politely suggested she do any other necessary shopping in the strip mall and come back so she could finish with us and then give her her full attention (great move, everyone was happy with this). Janine explained the different types of lenses and options we had; I have pretty bad eyesight so I went for the HD lenses and so did my fiancée (cause he deserves all the best stuff :) ). She was very knowledgable and informative of all of our options. We wrapped up our purchases, exchanged some great Netflix shows and documentaries for each other to watch, chatted with the "regular customer" women who came back in after her shopping and eventually got on our way. Our glasses will be ready soon and I will come back to update my review once I pick them up! Overall, Optical Connection is a fabulous place to get new glasses or sunglasses. I felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone in the shop was great and all of the customers seemed extremely pleased and all were treated like regulars. My fiancée and I both purchased the first pair of glasses that Janine put on us; she has a great eye! I would highly recommend going here if you need some new specs!! read more

Excellent facility. Very relaxed. Booked me an appointment same day, something I can't say about the other optometrists nearby. Very high tech equipment. I like to see that doctors are staying current with new ways to take care of patients and in this case the doctor was able to recommend a better fit contact lens for my eye than the standard one that had been given to me before. Very thorough in testing and making sure you're getting the right set up. Store is a very modern set up with great selection. My card did not go through at the time of my appointment, they were very kind to allow me to pay upon picking up my prescription as well as recommending a possible rebate for my contacts. Nice enough staff and doctor, however I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time, the doctor seemed confused as to what to ask and how to do her job. The staff were clearly new and didn't have much insight into anything regarding glasses selection. On that note, the selection was good and the pricing was reasonable considering my insurance plan. After telling me it would take 5 days for my new glasses to be ready, I called after 7 days of no response. The person I spoke with was not able to locate my account and had to call me back 3 hours later, only to tell me the frames would be ready in 1-2 days. It's been 4 since I spoke with him. Bottom line: it's a nice selection and good location made up of incompetent staff. read more

I bought a $1000 pair of glasses, and these guys acted like any of my concerns were not worthy of them. First, in trying to fix in making the glasses fit, the ear pieces were over heated and melted. They promised to get another pair and never called, The glasses themselves are progressive, and I have to bend my head all the way back to see anything close. The owner was super nice and quick and seemed like he definitely knew what he was doing when it came to glasses. Well, I don't know anything about the optician at this store, but the salesperson that I dealt with was very dishonest. The name on the card I have is Dwayne Smith. Forgive me he gave me someone else's card. I was looking for new frames and liked a pair of dark glasses. This salesperson told me that he had seen these glasses in clear lenses and they looked fabulous. I made the mistake of believing him. Two weeks later when I am picking up my new glasses, I looked in the mirror and these glasses (very yellow frames) looked so hideous that there is no way that this person could have ever seen these in clear lenses and liked what he saw. I read the receipt which says, no refunds or returns and no exchanges after 15 days. So I basically got screwed by this place. I very much resent being lied to in order for someone to sell me something. And if I can prevent this from happening to someone else, it is worth the time I spent writing this. read more

Came to the Optical Connection today as a new customer for both this shop and for optometrist Ruth Lipson who is onsite. Had been with my previous doctor and shop for at least 15 years and loved them until he retired. Brought my 79 year old mother for her first visit here as well. I was exceedingly pleased by my visit. Not only was the examination great, but the process of getting new glasses went very well. I felt well advised without dealing with any hard-core up-selling like I've experienced at other stores. The experience was extremely positive on a personal level. Everyone was very kind, caring and helpful. But, ultimately, it was what happened afterwards that has cemented this business as one that I will return to loyally and recommend to others wholeheartedly. After leaving our back to back appointments, we encountered an unexpected and very upsetting problem in the parking lot. A short time later, after returning home, I received a call back from the office (of their own accord) as they were made aware of the situation and they went out of their way to make things right and better, no discussion needed. That action showed such a high level of personal commitment to customer satisfaction that is so rare these days that I really felt moved to let everyone know.
