I was so impressed by this place. I had broken glasses for over a year because my sweet toddlers had an infatuation with them and their short life was inevitable. A Hollywood actress I worked with first recommended them to me, and from that first visit I was hooked. They've been my go-to ever since for prescription sunglasses, eyeglasses, and reading glasses. The team is always super nice, helpful, and knows their stuff. One time I lost my glasses on the beach in Barbados (worst vacation moment ever), and I called them right away. They had a new pair ready for me the day I landed back in LA. Total lifesavers! Eyelab did an AMAZING job replacing my lenses on two pairs of designer sunglasses and they were so quick because they do them right there on the premises unlike at the optometrist/opthalmologist's office that takes at least two weeks because they have to send them out. Absolute worst! I took my prescription to them for sunglasses and they messed up the polarization so bad, I was nauseous wearing them. So I asked them for a redo and guess what? I FAILED my eyesight test at the DMV today wearing those glasses, now i have to go back to the eye doctor and get new glasses, total RIPOFF. My wife and I needed new lenses for our old frames. A friend highly recommended them for service and value. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. They look like they have a large variety of frames. Our costs were quite a bargain compared to an optometrist office. Eyelab is basically a lab so they don't give exams or take insurance. Yesterday, I put my glasses on the driver's seat, got distracted with something else, then got in the car and...yep...sat on my glasses. The frames looked busted and the lenses popped out. I got them from Eyelab a few years ago. Had to be in LA today, so I swung by to drop them off. I told the man helping me I need new frames. A young woman came out from the back shop area, examined the pieces and said she could fix it. WHAT!?!? Seriously? I was told to wait five minutes. Five minutes. I expected five days. She emerged from the back shop and presented me with my previously-broken frames with lenses back in position. Perfect. What do I owe you? I asked the sales guy. "Nothing. Forget about it." I've been dealing with this shop since it was owned by a guy named Jose many years ago. "You sure know how to keep a customer for life," I told the sales guy. Just...wow. I was able to get polycarbonate lenses, anti reflective, UV, and smudge coating for $80 per frame. I brought Ray Bans, Burberry, and Ralph Lauren and they were able to do all those frames. Shame on me for not reviewing this place years ago. I found it on Yelp. And the others were correct. This place rocks! All of the employees, especially Edith Esther, are sharp, helpful, and this place is so economical you can get several pairs of glasses. Everyone I know goes here;you can even take in frames you like and They will put it in your prescription very inexpensively. They do not do Eye exams here, bring in your prescription once and they will hold it for you and order your specs Which are usually ready within 24 hours! Great find, go here! I've purchased lenses here a few times over the years as my eyesight has changed. One time I paid a premium to have them special order Zeiss coated lenses for me, which took a week or so, but was well worth it to me. This last time, I asked for Zeiss again, and was surprised when they told me it'd be ready in a day or two. I made sure to clarify the lenses I wanted, and they nonchalantly assured me they were Zeiss. When I picked them up, they were clearly not Zeiss coatings (I've had them for years), but they still assured me, even though they had no documentation to back it up. On top of that, they tacked on an extra $10 to my bill from what I was quoted, without a good explanation. read more

I went to pick up my glasses, the frame was crooked (Chinese crap), so I had to pay $300 for an Italian frame.within few months, the cheap lenses started to lose the coating, wasn't able to see through them anymore, brought the glasses back to show them, and the rude owner URI, insulted me and ordered me to get the hell out! With Eyelab, they are the real deal. I love them not just for the cost and quality of the eyeglasses I've purchased here (about 3 pair), but for the service they provide between purchases. I tend to hold on to my glasses for many years, and have often come in just to replace a broken piece, or get an adjustment.
