I see the same frames over and over again online but Eyelab has a huge variety of whatever style you may be looking for. I brought in a 12 year old pair of Bvlgari glasses that are my favorite. They have very unique arms and they don't make them anymore. I was afraid they couldn't be fixed after all the abuse I put them through, but Eyelab took care of them in about 5 minutes. Eyelab did an AMAZING job replacing my lenses on two pairs of designer sunglasses and they were so quick because they do them right there on the premises unlike at the optometrist/opthalmologist's office that takes at least two weeks because they have to send them out. Absolute worst! I took my prescription to them for sunglasses and they messed up the polarization so bad, I was nauseous wearing them. So I asked them for a redo and guess what? I FAILED my eyesight test at the DMV today wearing those glasses, now i have to go back to the eye doctor and get new glasses, total RIPOFF. Yesterday, I put my glasses on the driver's seat, got distracted with something else, then got in the car and...yep...sat on my glasses. The frames looked busted and the lenses popped out. I got them from Eyelab a few years ago. Had to be in LA today, so I swung by to drop them off. I told the man helping me I need new frames. A young woman came out from the back shop area, examined the pieces and said she could fix it. WHAT!?!? Seriously? I was told to wait five minutes. Five minutes. I expected five days. I was able to get polycarbonate lenses, anti reflective, UV, and smudge coating for $80 per frame. I brought Ray Bans, Burberry, and Ralph Lauren and they were able to do all those frames. All of the employees, especially Edith Esther, are sharp, helpful, and this place is so economical you can get several pairs of glasses. Everyone I know goes here;you can even take in frames you like and They will put it in your prescription very inexpensively. They do not do Eye exams here, bring in your prescription once and they will hold it for you and order your specs Which are usually ready within 24 hours! Great find, go here! I've purchased lenses here a few times over the years as my eyesight has changed. One time I paid a premium to have them special order Zeiss coated lenses for me, which took a week or so, but was well worth it to me. This last time, I asked for Zeiss again, and was surprised when they told me it'd be ready in a day or two. I made sure to clarify the lenses I wanted, and they nonchalantly assured me they were Zeiss. When I picked them up, they were clearly not Zeiss coatings (I've had them for years), but they still assured me, even though they had no documentation to back it up. On top of that, they tacked on an extra $10 to my bill from what I was quoted, without a good explanation. read more

Wow! What exceptional service! Nothing like losing your eyeglasses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Yeah, I had some contact lenses in stock but was running low and my eyes get irritated if I wear them full time. Found an old broken pair unexpectedly in my glove box and called around to see if I could get them repaired. Tough to find an optical store open during this epidemic. Finally, I found EyeLab. The lady picked up the phone and talked to me without having to deal with a robot beforehand. She was very kind and told me that they were open, did repairs, and to come in. When I got there, I found out that in my particular case, the glasses were not repairable. I explained to her that I had been out of work for a month. First time ever due to corporate budget cuts from COVID-19. She said oh we have this wall of frames all for only $20. We'll pop the old lenses out and find a frame to fit. Wow! What a surprise. I was looking at glasses last month at another place before the epidemic and was considering a pair that I sort of liked that, better than the rest I had found, that were estimated at $279.00. She searched and searched for a lens to fit and then took them into the backroom and said we have more back there. She also mentioned that if they didn't have a pair to fit, for an additional$10 they could grind them down to a pair of my liking. While they were looking in the back, I found a rockin' pair that I absolutely loved. Black matte, round, and horned... think Ozzy Osbourne or Johnny Depp. They fit my face perfectly and gave me that rockstar attitude. Pretty soon the lady came out and said...we found a frame to fit. Already had my lenses inserted and ready to go. "Try them on", she said "only $20". The frame they found fit and looked nice in a tortoise shell finish..if only I hadn't found the ultimate pair. I asked them if I could exchange the lenses out to the black pair and pay the extra ten. At this point I felt like a pain in the you know what. The optician said no problem...can you give me a half an hour? Sure! ...I had some shopping to do down the road. When I can back they were on time and ready! Great job EyeLab.
