This place used to be great. When the old doctor retired, this place went down the drain. I went to go for my annual eye exam to get new contacts. The doctor tells me that I have to "compromise" my vision to find something that'll "mostly" work. So I get the contacts. They won't be available for over a week, so they give me 5 days worth of trials. You don't have to be a math genius to know that 5 days isn't going to cover me until my contacts come in. They tell me they don't have any more "trials" to offer me. I pickup my contacts and start wearing them. After about a week, they aren't "mostly" working. I'm pretty much blind. So I go in yet again for a checkup. This time the doctor prescribes me something completely different. My vision is better (why the doctor didn't at least get this right the first time is beyond me), but I still can't see completely better. At this point I'm beyond frustrated and just want my revised contacts where I can "see better" so I can take my business elsewhere. This time the doctor wants me to wait 3 weeks until I get the contacts they order for me. And they had no trials to give me to last me that time! So they said they'd order me some trials. So I wear my old bad contacts for a week until the trials come in. I come back a week later. Guess how trials these guys tried giving me? You guessed it: 5. I feel like I'm being punked - is this a joke!? After I realize I'm not being punked, I ask them to give me more trials. They give me 5 more days and say they don't have any left. So I'm still short. Unbelievable. So it looks like I had to wear my daily contacts for 2 days each to last me until I see the doctor again to pickup my contacts. On my next visit, the doctor proceeds to be shocked and says "don't tell me that" when I told her I wore each contact twice. So I told her "well I wouldn't have had to if you guys had given me the proper number for trials to last between appointments." Finally, after about 8 back and forth visits, I pickup my "I can see better but still not great" contacts. My wife & I will never return to this place. This place is clueless and incompetent. I recommend everyone to stay clear of this place! read more

I really liked Dr W - happy for him that he retired, not so happy for me. I saw Dr Tran (I think) last year and she was very nice so I was going to continue going here. This year I made my appointment earlier in the year - it was abruptly canceled with no explanation. When I went to reschedule via the website it would not complete the process and kept erroring out. Coupling this with the unexplained cancelation, I decided it was a sign to go elsewhere. I picked a place closer to my work on Blue Diamond and was very happy with that experience. Been going here for many years now. Thank God the new management is just as fantastic as the old guard. Dr. Tran is a commensurate professional and an overall great lady. I know my eyes are changing every year and my prescription needs a little boost with every set of glasses I get. I always have my AO aviator frames and they provide the lenses. As an old guy my new license requirements here in Vegas require me to see my internist and eye doc. So this was the encouragement I needed to see both. I already had issues with this office when I went in for new prescription. They are very poor in communicating and following up and giving updates on the status of prescription glasses. I waited almost 4 weeks for my prescription . I did not even bother going back there to fit my new prescription but instead I requested for them to ship it. I paid for my shipping and you would think that someone would follow up and check if I need adjustment . Well after almost a month Janice was calling to check if I needed an adjustment. I did not even wanna speak to anyone because it useless at this point. I just won't go back there. For people that had good experience that's great. read more

These people take way too long to make a pair of glasses. When I finally received them I realized my bifocal was way too low. Took them back, was assured that they would be fast tracked. It has been over but a month without even a phone call making this 2:+ months and still having to raise my glasses to read anything. Will my prescription be obsolete by the time I get them? I have been a client of this business for many years. I recently came in to get my yearly exam ( a few months ago) and have had to return 3x to get new contacts cause couldn't find ones at my strength that did what we needed them to do. I came in today to order my contacts (have a $150 optical credit on insurance) only to be told they stopped taking my Insurance ONE week ago! WHY WOULD YOU NOT CALL YOUR CLIENTS and tell them, especially when they have an order pending!!!! I have had numerous conversations with the office people and the dr about my Insurance credit as well as finding me the perfect fit for my contacts. They knew I had culinary and chose to leave me out to dry. Now I have to try and find someone on my network to take my order and use my insurance. I am LIVID they didn't bother to call their long term clients and tell them to get their orders in. I was pending in the system and they KNEW it! Because of this they get 1 star. So far so good with this place. They get a little pricy if you like nice frames like I do. I have some what of a glasses fetish. I have many and I love them. The last major glasses purchase I made went on here. My last pair lasted me 10 years or so, I got them from lens crafters. I had new insurance now and after checking out a few places I came to this one and was very impressed by their selection. I ended up getting two pairs. When you get something expensive that you are going to use everyday, get two! That and I couldn't decide. So i got a cat eye pair of Pradas, and solid black frame by MK. Came out to like 600 dollars. I brought my daughter in for an exam and was surprised that the doctor said she doesn't even need to wear glasses because her vision is fine. Her last exam was at LensCrafters and we were told she needed glasses to wear for reading. It is refreshing to find a place that doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. Everyone is very educated, they provide you the best price in town, they educate you on what your insurance will cover and what your benefit card pays for. I was up sold on bifocals which I told them I didn't really want, but they convinced me to try them. Then I find out my readers would have been 100% covered. But the bifocals cost me $130 out of pocket. I got them. Took me about a day of hating them to realize they had measured my eyes wrong. While she was measuring me she said something sarcastic "I do know what I am talking about". Turns out she can't measure either. I went on to Amazon and paid $13 for a pair of readers that I love, and I am so upset about how I was treated, I told them I don't even want to pick up my readers. I'm out $130 and still happier with my $13 readers I got on Amazon. If you go here be firm, get a second opinion. They will try to upsell you. read more
