I'll start by stating that I am not a patient of Target Optical. I had purchased a pair of cheap eyeglasses online that were too loose for me and I was shopping in Target when I thought I'd pop in and ask if someone could help me out. Right away a very nice man (I'm so sorry, I've forgotten your name...Javier, maybe?) helped me out by tightening my screws and even heating up the arms of the glasses to help mold them better to my head. After he cleaned the lenses off, he passed to me and I was on my way! Optometrist: What: first-time eyeglasses for my 10 year old daughter. I made an appt. with the optometrist next door, Dr. Ngo ("No") and she was great with my daughter. We weren't sure if she needed glasses, she just complained recently about having trouble seeing the board in class. She did the 1-or-2 test and was AMAZED at how much clearer she could see with the adjustment. Glasses needed indeed. Service: We were seen on-time and Dr. Ngo was great with my daughter. I didn't have VSP, but Dr. Ngo was kind enough to check my medical insurance and weirdly enough, it completely covered the exam and ANY pair of glasses for my minor child under 17. Awesome! Ambiance: Small, clean with new equipment. ***** Optical Dept.: What: kid frames! At first I was looking at the cheaper frames, but it turns out my medical insurance covered ANY frame for my child, so with Erin's help, we picked an adult Coach frame - I didn't care about the brand, I just wanted it to look good on my kid's face. Service: they should get a thing where you take a number because there were only two helpers who were already busy with people after we came in and then all these customers came and it was a little nuts with everyone waiting in the small shop. Maybe try an off time as we were there after school on a Friday. Ambiance: small shop. They didn't have that many kid frames, but when it turned out we could get any frame and some non-kid frames fit my kid, then it was ok. Cost: with my medical insurance covering ANY glasses for my minor child, I just had to pay the tax and I wanted the scratch resistant lenses so at the end of the day I paid $62 total. This price was better than any of the specials/promos they had. Turnaround time: They told me 7-10 business days, but said it usually comes sooner. It came in 2 business days! I got a text it was in and Shaun helped get the fit just right. My daughter is SO EXCITED about her new glasses and they look great! read more

I wasn't happy with my last optometrist office so I decided to give Target Optical a try. This is my new spot for my annual eye exam. Scheduling an appointment was easy and not time consuming. I received reminders of my appointment closer to the date. At my appointment I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. She gave me some paperwork to fill out, but there wasn't much to fill out. The doctor took me in at my appointment time and I was all done after 30 minutes at the most. This office makes the eye exam simple by having all of the eye exam machines in one room. The doctor was friendly and he explained all of the results of my exam at the end. When I checked out I was given my prescription in case I wanted to shop for glasses. I'm sold with convenient scheduling, a friendly doctor, and an efficient appointment. The icing on the cake was that I was able to grab some essentials in Target after my appointment. read more

I have seen both Dr. Campana and Dr. Ngo. They are both on time, professional, and knowledgeable. They send reminders when you are due for your annual exam and confirmation emails for your appointment. The check in process is easy and quick. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen after I have completed paperwork. The lobby has a TV to watch but you won't have to watch it long because the doctors are always on time. The eye exam is your typical exam and they always ask if you have any questions or concerns with your vision and eye health. You are given your prescription and they have an on site optical department where you can try on and order glasses and place contact orders. Andrea is always helpful and sweet and looks to get you the best pricing she can with or without insurance. Target Optical is a hidden gem and who can resist walking out of your eye exam to peruse the aisles in Target? The money you'll save at Target Optical can be your shopping money at Target. Been to this location for two different pairs of glasses. When I went back for the second pair in 2022, I said make it the exact same. Apparently my prescription didn't change (from what the Optomitrist said), but she gave me more power in the bifocal area. Well, the new glasses weren't right. I thought the optician made a mistake and they remade them. Literally I've had headaches every time I've worn the new pair and would end up putting on my old pair. Well, guess what?!? The new prescription is different than my previous one (after pulling out my old records). Not only is the SPH and CYL different, but so is the Axis?!? This is pretty important when you have an astigmatism. Someone my old glasses work just fine (albeit a bit worn), but I can see perfectly and I don't get headaches when I wear them. Anyhow. It's past 90 days so Target is too bad so sad about this and I'm stuck with this prescription that is WRONG for my eyes. I'll have to wait until my insurance allows me to get new lenses next year and I won't be going back to this location with their "optomitrist" that still seems like they need to go back to school. They literally said my prescription did not change and then to find out they changed the Axis? My old glasses, with the old prescription and Axis don't give me headaches. AVOID this place if you don't want to make your vision worse. read more

The two ladies who checked me in were so kind and friendly! My overall customer service was great! Dr. Chan was amazing! Very thorough and provided a lot of educating for eye health. He equipped me with knowledge to take care my eye health on my own and what type of eye drops are beneficial for me as I have an auto immune disease. The team at Target optical are outstanding!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would! I paid for glasses and contacts prescription and they only gave me the glasses prescription. They kept trying to get me to buy their $60 per box contacts and would not send me my results without a "test" run of a brand they wanted to give me... this was after I told them I did not want to do that and just wanted my prescription. They refuse to give me my prescription I paid for .. saying it was on me for not wanting saying yes to the brand they wanted me to buy! No refund no nothing but are quick to say well lets just do another exam.. Please don't go here.. there are better practices in LV that are so much nicer and helpful... I've never experience such hassle with trying to my prescription written.. something I paid for. Horrible place. read more

Dr Chan was the best optometrist i've ever had! He explained everything to me as many times as I needed and made sure I understood what was going on with my eyesight to the full detail. He even showed me the pictures he took of my eyes and explained everything down to my healthy eye vessels and how the parts of my eye correlate back to my health. Never had an optometrist give me the full rundown on every last little thing like that. The receptionist was always very sweet and even ordered me an extra pair of the trial contacts I was getting for free! Would absolutely recommend this place thank you guys. read more

Worst customer service team ever. I had a 1040 appointment for contact training, was there twenty minutes early. They were suppose to help me put my contacts in, never happened. The person who was suppose to be "training" was yapping it up at the front desk, ensured I would see the doctor. Then when time came around, they kicked me out off the office because they 'were so busy" despite having a scheduled appointment. Worst front office team too, I m quite certain its illegal for a front office admin to be training you on contacts too. read more

I do not look forward to getting new glasses simply because it really hurts the wallet. My last two rounds of eye exams and glasses was at another company that does glasses in about an hour. I was pleasantly surprised when I started shopping frames at Target Optical. They have a large selection of frames, lots of the name brands, Ray-Ban, Oakley, etc. The best part was the pricing. My insurance covers up to $150 for the frames, and there were many that would have been completely covered, meaning I wouldn't have to come out of pocket anything. Ultimately I did settle on a pair that was under $150. The associate that helped me was friendly and helpful. I browsed the large selection and she helped me narrow it down, asking what "look" I wanted to go for. It was almost like having a fashion consultant! Lol. I am rather picky so I must also say that the associate was patient with me! Turn around time is 10 days. It's not glasses in about an hour but the pricing is more than affordable. read more

It's super unfortunate to be writing this review. I have had good luck in the past but today was not good. I got an e-mail with a private members sale and was unable to order the glasses on-line as they didn't have my prescription history. I tried to get this via support but they left me hanging on chat with no answer so I decided to go down to the store. I was ready to lay down some good money for my favorite glasses and the three gals working the store were helping other customers. I waited for fifteen minutes and no one acknowledged me, or said hello, we'll be with you in a bit. Nothing. One looked at me but said nothing. I had a great experience here at Target Optical and I was given a very thorough eye examination for contact lenses. I had previously gone to Costco in Mark's Street where they rushed my appointment and they gave me a completely incorrect prescription. Target Optical were so much better than Costco. Of course everyone is pleasant when they are trying o get you to buy something. it isn't until there's an issue a problem when people change their attitudes. Made a purchase of two frames exchanged one pair decided hey...im going return the pair that I exchanged now here's the problem...all of a sudden no return can be done in store for a partial return...So when was I going to be told ..nope not on any sign in the store as a matter of fact I was assured by Marvin that he would process my return which he had copies of the receipt so he knew that it was a partial return. So, while I'm in the store his tone becomes aggressive, matter of fact, a plain disrespectful which was brought to his attention.... ill be monkey uncle your mad at me because I have to wait for 2 weeks or more for a check mind you I paid with a debit card...all of a sudden you can't process returns ...be aware... read more

This was the best optometrist exam I have ever had (which are many!) Their new facility in Target is state-of-the-art, and while he used them he was explaining what they do. He showed (and gave me) an X-ray of both of my eyes, which i have never seen before. Dr. Campana is great at his job and was fun and happy! I was in the store last week and I had no idea they had an optical. So, I decided to try them out. I walked in the lady who does all the exams and the paperwork was very nice and helpful. The doctor was super nice, New his stuff and also was very helpful. Then the lady who does the glasses was very very nice. I liked working with her, she helped me pick out my glasses. And sunglasses :) the prices were very reasonable and I was very happy. Thank thank you! I think I found my optical place :) and hours are opened till 9 which was great. Doctor Chan is great! Seen couple vision dr before but I believe Dr Chan is most caring out all of them. And the shop have a very small selection of glasses but will fit what you need and they are helpful to ultimate your max insurance benefit.
