The optometrist was excellent and professional. When we were advised that the eyeglasses were ready to be collected, we arrived on Saturday morning, 8/1/26. We approached the young lady sitting by the entrance. After greeting her pleasantly, I proceeded to explain the purpose of our visit and asked her to direct us to the person who was responsible. She explained that she could assist. She asked my mother to sit down and then asked me (instead of my mother) her name and date of birth. After I provided all the information, she turned to the cabinet behind her and did not find the eyeglasses. Proceeded to ask another co-worker, returned, and found the glasses. When my mother put them on, she felt the legs tight around her ears. We requested that she adjust them slightly so that they would not cause her pain. She explained that if she loosened the legs, they would slip off her nose, and (to cover herself professionally) she added that her supervisor would agree. I requested that she proceed to do so, as we were Not leaving until she felt completely comfortable. She loosened the legs and when my mother placed them, they were too loose. I requested that she tighten them a little, and she only provided an excuse to Not do so. I explained how we were quite fed up with medical professionals Not doing their jobs with excellence and blaming patients for their errors. I was Not leaving until my mother (89) felt comfortable. The greatest problem here was the 'attitude'. I was aware that the young lady spoke Spanish but only spoke with me in English, disrespecting and ignoring my mother. When I spoke to my mother in Spanish, she then understood me. If you do NOT like working with people, I respect that and advise that you work behind a computer or elsewhere. Is that a professional lack of training in the workplace, or should we as parents teach that to our children? The issue now is that my mother CANNOT see with the BiFocal lense after charging her insurance $400. read more

This has been an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking reliable eye care or eyewear services. The prescriptions provided have been consistently inaccurate, and there appears to be a lack of accountability and follow-through. It has been an entire year and there is still no resolution to correct my prescription properly. I had to undergo two separate eye exams with the same doctor because the first exam was not done correctly. Unfortunately, even after repeating the exam, the second prescription was still incorrect. The ongoing errors, lack of precision, and failure to resolve the issue in a timely and professional manner have been very frustrating. Patients rely on accurate prescriptions for their vision and daily functioning, and this level of inaccuracy and irresponsibility is simply unacceptable. I am 73, and I have been to many Optical Outlets. This one on Colonial is by far the best! The employees are nice and efficient. The doctors are good but what makes me take the time to do this review is Jay. He is one of the people who help you pick your frames and glasses and what features you want or need. He is knowledgeable about exactly what your insurance plan will pay for and he doesn't try to talk you into adding anything or anything you don't want or can't afford. He just puts all your options out there and let's you decide. He doesn't rush but also doesn't waste time and is very professional. I hope they all are like Jay! read more

This place Is a joke. I received a call saying that my glasses were ready to be picked up and when I arrived to pick them up, they had a total different frame than the one that I ordered. This is like the fourth time that I've been over to optical outlet trying to get my glasses repaired or replaced. I was not a fan of this location at all, if you have to deal with them because of insurance like me, I would go to the Winter Springs location, the staff is much nicer and you will be in and out in less then 2 hrs. This location seems like it is always really busy. The receptionist behind the appt check in was not nice at all and kind of rude. We went there because we had an appt, but about a week before it, my son broke his glasses, so we needed to get in right away. Went in to get appointment because they were list in my insurance vision plan. The girl took my insurance card and entered my information in the computer then told me the next app. would 3 week away. After telling me my insurance was good to go she made the app. for 3 weeks later. I showed for my App and the door was lock but there were people inside. I showed the girl my app. card, then she said your app was canceled and the doctor was not there. Nobody call me to let me know or offered to reschedule. This is totally unprofessional behavioral. The worst place to go. Such a rip off. I received progessive glasses and they told me it would take 30 days for my eyes to get used to it. Waited 30 days- still can't see out of them. I have visited this store several times with the same complaint. I asked for another eye exam, but get the run around. She said no because I only had 30 days to return glasses or for a refund. Several months later still can't see. They don't want to help me. I am disabled and they won't listen to me. Now I have to spend more money! Or wait til November so they can bill my insurance. I made my appointment online. When I got there they didn't have me in their system. They said the website was giving them problems, but they apologized and got me in right away as a walk in. I waited maybe 15 minutes before I saw the doctor. The exam was about 15 minutes too and the doctor was very friendly. Right afterwards, I was guided to a woman who helped me find glasses in my price range. I told her I saw the ad in the paper for a $39 eye exam with the purchase of 2 frames with my prescription. She showed me the section with affordable frame choices. I picked out two pairs I liked. I explained that I was a student and couldn't pay everything up front and she was very accommodating and allowed me to pay half then and half when I picked up my glasses. Then, she said my glasses would be ready in 7-10 days. Exactly a week later, I got a call saying my glasses were ready to be picked up. I went in and picked up my two frames and asked for my prescription. I couldn't believe the difference when I put my glasses on!!!! The detail I've been missing out on is incredible! The lady helping me giggled as I sat there smiling with my new glasses on. I am so so happy with my experience and my new frames! The woman that was supposed to take care of getting my glasses fixed sent me home and said another person would contact me. Two days later I called. He didn't know he was supposed to contact me. My first eye exam appt was on May 24, 2023. took almost three weeks to come back. When I got them, they were like trifocal 3d glasses. I wear bi-focals. Then the idiot girl swore me down that there was nothing wrong with them. instead of correcting the prescription, she sent them back out and had the tints lightened. Because everyone knows that if your prescription is wrong, lightening the tint will fix them. Two more weeks later, I get them they are obviously still wrong. But I dont want to throw away the almost $400 that they cost. So I make another appointment to see the doctor. Im there like 40 minutes, the doctor takes care of everyone except me, then is walking out the door to go to lunch and just happens to ask, "is there anyone else, Im going to lunch". There had forgotten to check me in. She corrected the prescription, and sent them back out, that was on June 29. Today is July 19th, still dont have them. Come to fond out, they came yesterday.
