I've been going there for years. I've only had one issue so I would definitely recommend them. I go every year since 2014.

This has been an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking reliable eye care or eyewear services. The prescriptions provided have been consistently inaccurate, and there appears to be a lack of accountability and follow-through. It has been an entire year and there is still no resolution to correct my prescription properly. I had to undergo two separate eye exams with the same doctor because the first exam was not done correctly. Unfortunately, even after repeating the exam, the second prescription was still incorrect. The ongoing errors, lack of precision, and failure to resolve the issue in a timely and professional manner have been very frustrating. Patients rely on accurate prescriptions for their vision and daily functioning, and this level of inaccuracy and irresponsibility is simply unacceptable. Now 4 months later I went to put on my glasses and one of the lenses came out because the frame cracked! I come to the store and because I didn't pay for the insurance/warranty, now they want to charge me $40.21! I am 73, and I have been to many Optical Outlets. This one on Colonial is by far the best! The employees are nice and efficient. The doctors are good but what makes me take the time to do this review is Jay. He is one of the people who help you pick your frames and glasses and what features you want or need. He is knowledgeable about exactly what your insurance plan will pay for and he doesn't try to talk you into adding anything or anything you don't want or can't afford. He just puts all your options out there and let's you decide. He doesn't rush but also doesn't waste time and is very professional. I hope they all are like Jay! read more

Today, February 18, 2025, I went to the Winterhaven offices to pick up my new glasses and they gave me a frame that was not the one I chose. I came here with my daughter so she can get a pair of glasses and honestly was very disappointed with the whole experience. The worst part about it is that it will take three weeks for my daughter to get her glasses. Other places will get you the glasses that same day. I went there a week ago and they increased my prescription a bit and I was like ok. A week later, they decide to increase it tremendously. That week I did nothing to strain my eyes. All they want is money, and when I was discussing with the eye doctor why I have to change and change he gave me the response of just to keep it the way it was in a horrible, loud tone and manor. The people at this place, know absolutely NOTHING! as of 11/02/22 and I still don't have my glasses, no call or email from these people at all... I've called many times, and all they do is redirect the calls to their automated service, and when I did get through, someone at this office told me my glasses were ready, twice... Where the hell does this company find its employees?! Goodness, they don't know what they're doing, never less their own little simple job! This place Is a joke. I received a call saying that my glasses were ready to be picked up and when I arrived to pick them up, they had a total different frame than the one that I ordered. This is like the fourth time that I've been over to optical outlet trying to get my glasses repaired or replaced. I came back in January after receiving my glasses in December, because the piece that fits over the ear kept falling off They sent me a new frame and within one months time the frame that they sent me started doing the same thing so I took it back to optical outlet and the lady suggest that I superglue that piece on which I told her was unacceptable so they didn't order me a new pair which I was supposed to be picking up today and they sent the wrong frame they were not even apologetic about the mistake so unless you like being jerked around they should be the last place did you try to get glasses from? read more

Very disappointed in general. Poor quality glasses and terrible unprofessional customer service. I do not recommend this optical to anyone. The product is not as they claim and customer is treated like trash. They charged over $700.00 for supposedly high index lenses for a strong prescription and was given a thick cheap lense that did not meet the expected quality. I was not a fan of this location at all, if you have to deal with them because of insurance like me, I would go to the Winter Springs location, the staff is much nicer and you will be in and out in less then 2 hrs. This location seems like it is always really busy. The receptionist behind the appt check in was not nice at all and kind of rude. We went there because we had an appt, but about a week before it, my son broke his glasses, so we needed to get in right away. As we were leaving another associate offered to call their Winter Springs store and was able to get us in. read more

The worst place to go. Such a rip off. I received progessive glasses and they told me it would take 30 days for my eyes to get used to it. Waited 30 days- still can't see out of them. I have visited this store several times with the same complaint. I asked for another eye exam, but get the run around. She said no because I only had 30 days to return glasses or for a refund. Several months later still can't see. They don't want to help me. I am disabled and they won't listen to me. Now I have to spend more money! Or wait til November so they can bill my insurance. Wish I could give no stars. This is by far the worst fraudulent office ever. They tried to force me to take glasses I did not pick out nor was it my prescription. I made my appointment online. When I got there they didn't have me in their system. They said the website was giving them problems, but they apologized and got me in right away as a walk in. I waited maybe 15 minutes before I saw the doctor. The exam was about 15 minutes too and the doctor was very friendly. Right afterwards, I was guided to a woman who helped me find glasses in my price range. I told her I saw the ad in the paper for a $39 eye exam with the purchase of 2 frames with my prescription. She showed me the section with affordable frame choices. I picked out two pairs I liked. I explained that I was a student and couldn't pay everything up front and she was very accommodating and allowed me to pay half then and half when I picked up my glasses. Then, she said my glasses would be ready in 7-10 days. Exactly a week later, I got a call saying my glasses were ready to be picked up. I went in and picked up my two frames and asked for my prescription. I couldn't believe the difference when I put my glasses on!!!! The detail I've been missing out on is incredible! The lady helping me giggled as I sat there smiling with my new glasses on. I am so so happy with my experience and my new frames! Listen, it's not a place for ambience, but it was well worth the money and I would definitely recommend the place if your in a pinch for cash and need glasses! read more

Initially the doctor prescribed me single vision but I need multi. So I can't see out of my glasses half of the time. I made another appointment. She realized the mistake. The woman that was supposed to take care of getting my glasses fixed sent me home and said another person would contact me. Two days later I called. He didn't know he was supposed to contact me. I contacted another rep and asked to talk with a manager. Nothing. I'm still trying to contact people to get my glasses fixed. This company is unprofessional. read more

My first eye exam appt was on May 24, 2023. took almost three weeks to come back. When I got them, they were like trifocal 3d glasses. I wear bi-focals. Then the idiot girl swore me down that there was nothing wrong with them. instead of correcting the prescription, she sent them back out and had the tints lightened. Because everyone knows that if your prescription is wrong, lightening the tint will fix them. Two more weeks later, I get them they are obviously still wrong. But I dont want to throw away the almost $400 that they cost. So I make another appointment to see the doctor. Im there like 40 minutes, the doctor takes care of everyone except me, then is walking out the door to go to lunch and just happens to ask, "is there anyone else, Im going to lunch". There had forgotten to check me in. She corrected the prescription, and sent them back out, that was on June 29. Today is July 19th, still dont have them. Come to fond out, they came yesterday. So this place is really hit or miss. Sometimes the staff is great, other times they have me wanting to not do business with them. For instance, I just called to check on the order status for my daughter's glasses, the lady who answered sounded like she was already in a bad mood and put me on hold for 10 minutes before I just hung up- I told her all I wanted to do was check the order status, 10 minute+ hold? She wasn't coming back on the line obviously. I called back and a different lady answered, she looked it up right away and that was it, all I needed.
