Price of eyeglass frames are outlandish. I can get same frame at Costco for 60% less. If you have insurance to use here, buy your frames elsewhere and just let them put in lenses. You can then get reimbursement for the frames through your insurance out of network reimbursement. U saved over $150. read more

I barely ever post reviews, however, the lack of professionalism at this Optical Outlet is astounding. Not even the excuse of Covid can explain it. I had appointments for my husband and I two weeks out. Then I confirmed our insurance and was told they couldn't find mine. Not true. They didn't take my husband's. Not true. We are new to the area and went to an Optical outlet in Sarasota that was great. Sadly, we had to scramble to find appointments at places that did take our insurance. My husband called and they said they did take his insurance and he could get his original appointment back. My appointment was already rebooked within the 20 minutes it took to sort out THEIR mistake. Luckily I found another eye doctor that had an appointment the same day because I needed an updated prescription. Needless to say. Optical Outlet no longer has two customers. My husband is getting his updated prescription and buying his glasses elsewhere. Now, due to Covid, I sat in the car while my husband has his exam. However, they were letting some people wait in the waiting area and kicking out others. The rules were not being applied consistently. I got to sit at watch this for the hour it took for my husband's appointment. read more

I came in to get replacement glasses because my existing one was badly scratched up. Other than that, the prescription was fine. However, the eye exam was free with my insurance so I went ahead and took it. The front office staff was pleasant. The doctor was not. She looked like she was very stressed due to the number of patients. She rushed through the exam and seemed annoyed when I asked her to repeat the choices. Also, she was Korean and barely spoke English. In a region of predominantly Spanish speakers where English is barely understood, let alone Korean. I got my glasses and immediately, I knew it wasn't the right prescription. My right eye would grow tired in less than 30 minutes of reading. I brought it back. They confirmed the prescription was wrong and order a new set. When I got that, the problem was still the right eye; only now it was the distance and middle grade. While driving and shifting from the road to the dashboard, it felt like someone was pressing on my eyeball. I did not bother to go back and never will use this company again. If after two attempts, they still haven't got it right, it's a big problem. I'll eat the $250 and go somewhere else. read more

Request an appointment 3 weeks ago motivated because I really need an ophthalmologist. On the website of my medical insurance they placed this company that has a doctor in this specialty. At the time I did the appointment in their offices they guarantee I have an ophthalmologist. The day before the medical consultation a lady calls me and told me that they have never had an ophthalmologist but an optometrist. If they had been honest since 3 weeks ago I would not be in this predicament now looking for another doctor and asking for permission at work again, which by the way are very difficult because of the covid-19. I give them 1 star for liars .... I prefer to think that than they do not know the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist. Thank God the last lady was sincere and said that there are no ophthalmologists I could have wasted my time and money. read more

Service is great but do not expect to receive anything of what you actually paid for. I've been waiting for my contacts for the past month and a half, I get texts saying they have arrived just for them to say it's the wrong prescription and don't have it at all. They have given me contacts to wear meanwhile that are NOT my prescription or have any increase at all.... better off not wearing any at all. I keep calling and they HANG UP ON YOU. Even my mom went and they said they had the complete order, just for her to come home with the "complete order" of just one box for one eye.... And it's the wrong prescription. What can I say, it's a complete waste of your time. They were supposed to arrive in a week, so I've been using the daily contacts for a month and a half now, ridiculous. read more

Came in for an annual eye exam because I'm diabetic. Dr. Tucker was amazing and very patient. Cary helped me pick out 2 pair of glasses and made sure I was very happy with my purchase. Overall a perfect 10. Found my new favorite eyeglass I lace for all of my vision needs. read more

I place my order on 10/26/2020 and they told me my glasses will be ready in 2 weeks by Mail, 3 weeks past and I didn't receive my order. I called them and the lady said she didn't see my order, she will called the store because she is working from home and it doesn't have access to it, I decided to go in person 11/17/2020, they couldn't find my glasses, no even an order in the computer only my payment but they never place my order, they told me they will reorder again and they will be ready in 1 1/2week and today 12/07/2020 they said my glasses are not ready to wait until 12/18/2020. They just place my order on 12/03/2020. I asked to speak to the manager Brian and he was so rude and he said my order had been place and just wait for them to call me when is ready. There is nothing they can do, I just have to wait, if he was the manager he can accelerate my glasses from a fast delivery instead of making wait cause his excuse is the holiday season!! read more

My daughter had an appointment today which she is only four years old and was very excited to get her eyes checked out. However, this appointment was the worst by far. Let me explain, when I called to make my appointment I gave all my daughter's information including her birthday. We arrived 20mins Prior to the appointment to make sure we filled all the forms out right. The sweet front staff checked us in & than we walked to the back where my daughter exam began. Dr. Tucker said to the staff in front of me & my sweet four year daughter "I DON'T SEE KIDS UNDER 5" in that moment my daughter felt like nobody wanted to see her & started to hold her head down. How fucking rude is that & unprofessional to make a statement in the presence of the patient ( my child) . She than walked off no apology or am sorry I can't see you to my daughter. I never felt so sad for my child . Dr.Tucker is rude & unprofessional. IF YOU HAVE A CHILD 5 & under DON'T GO !! Prior to my appointment you had my daughter's age (could have called me to cancel the appointment) since you send out emails & texts to confirm my appointment. Beyond upset & now my child thinks the Dr hates her. (Next time be more sensitive when a child is present) read more

Dr Marrian Tucker is by far the best optometrist I've ever been to. She's very professional and takes her time in examining your eyes. I've been seeing her since '09 and she recently opened up her own office. I can't thank her and her staff enough for how comfortable they make me feel and the superb service they provide. read more

Had an eye exam, had my prescription made into my glasses. Could not see clearly. Went back and was given a second prescription, new glasses. Still could not see. Went back and was told I was just a difficult patient. Although I paid extra for a contact lens exam was never given contacts that worked either. After 4 months of having glasses I could not see clearly out of I paid again to have a re exam at another Dr's office. He told me the prescription Dr. Tucker had given me was so wrong and way too strong. I had HIS prescription filled and now I can finally see clearly. Asked Dr. Tucker for my money back and she refused!! I am so angry that I had to spend so much extra money just to see clearly. read more

The amount of attitude & lack of professionalism that the representatives that answer the phone at this location have given me in the last 2 times that I have called (one to schedule an appointment and the second to cancel the appointment) IS UNREAL. I am so turned off by this & dont know if I want to come back honestly. If you work with people especially in the medical field, learn how to speak to people. read more

The doctor was very short when speaking with me about my children's eye exam. When I went in to get my daughters glasses the doctor was very rude and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. read more

Dr. Tucker got very angry and impatient when she was asked a few questions, and refused to work with me after I tried on one pair of contacts that were very blurry- even after sitting out in the waiting room as told for 15 minutes to "let them adjust." They were still very blurry after this "adjustment" time out, and when I mentioned that to her, she abruptly told me she couldn't help me any more and asked me to leave.
