Thank you to John and his partner for helping us with the move. We moved our two bedroom apartment from a first floor to a second floor apartment with only stairs for access and they did a great job moving us. We had a few heavy furniture pieces and lots of boxes. They let us use thier wardrobe boxes for our clothes in hangers. That was pretty useful since it was a quick move for our clothes. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH OPTIMAL MOVERS WAS AS FOLLOWS: I used the email function to email several companies, INCLUDING OPTIMAL MOVERS, about moving and their prices in late October. According to Yelp, this company has a 100% response and usually within 10 minutes time. That's not true. When I first posted this review, it had been four days and I never heard back. At least they could say they were not available, but no, I never heard anything back from them at all. If they couldn't contact me back, could they show up on time and move me properly? Didn't want to find out, so I used another mover. I posted a version of this review before and Yelp took it down saying I needed personal experience with the company to review them. Well if not contacting me back is not PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE COMPANY, I don't know what is. Hopefully that clarifies things for YELP and this business who probably tried to have my review taken down (insert eye rolling emoji here). read more

The last move that my boyfriend and I did by ourselves involved us (ok, mostly him) lifting a gigantic elliptical machine up many flights of stairs and was the least fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I recently hired Optimal Movers, and they made a stressful situation (moving always is!) very smooth. John called me the day before to confirm the move, he called me again 30 minutes prior to arrival. They arrived on time with a BIG truck. 3 movers. I initially wanted just 2 to save money, but hind side, I'm so happy I changed it last minute to 3, it would have costed me more to have just 2 movers. They were fast, delicate with the furniture, methodical with boxing the miscellaneous stuff and clean. It took all together 3 1/2 hours. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon but when I do, I will definitely hire them again. I highly recommend this company to anyone who has to move. read more

Optimal Movers are great! I wasn't going to hire any mover's...was planning on getting a U-Haul truck and do it myself, called U-Haul a day before moving and all 15-26foot trucks were sold out. I called Optimal Movers 12 hours before I was moving, they were available and showed up promptly at 10am. They worked extremely fast and made sure all of our furniture was packed and wrapped up to protect it from any damage. In the past I had movers tack on huge fees for packing tape and blankets etc. these guys were so cool, they used their own tape and blankets for my fragile stuff and didn't charge me extra. These movers are truly awesome. John always stayed in clear communication with me from the first phone call and throughout the move. He and his partner handled our furniture with care and also worked diligently to navigate the annoying length of the narrow walkway up and down stairs from the way back of the building to the loading truck. They got the job done efficiently and without any bullshit. They are also super affordable at only $80 an hour. On top of that, they brought all the items we needed, such as shrink wrap, multiple wardrobe boxes, proper tools and a positive attitude. Nothing was broken, but after the move we were trying to put the bed frame together and noticed a tiny support piece missing which we thought was gone forever. We called and John found the TINY piece in his truck and came all the way from Palm Springs to return it to us. He really cares about his customers. I would highly recommend his business. read more
