I've called several moving companies and noticed that they all have a 3 hour minimum charge and a gas charge. Only difference was that LA Movings price is competitive and reasonable! There is a charge if you end up having a second location to move things - all that was reasonable for us. I reserved online about one week ahead and theres the $50 deposit during reservation. Two guys showed up and came with their own dollies and tools in a big movers truck. Their moving services included: Plastic wraps, blankets/moving pads, and boxes for packing. There was constant good communication and they worked hard with wrapping furniture, packing loose items into their box, loading/unloading, and moving heavy big furniture up/down stairs. We were able to pack/unpack, load/unload and also stop by a second property all in less than 4 hours. They move fast and I really appreciate that they use their time well and move efficiently. I highly recommend LA Movings and will use them again if I need to move in the future. read more

The contact person was professional and responsible. Four man crew, two trucks. One crew was an hour late. They did charge me the lower rate for when it was just two guys. Three of the four guys busted their asses, the fourth guy clearly didn't like sweating, and did as little as possible. They packed and moved most of the stuff carefully, EXCEPT the computer; who throws a computer in a too small box without bubble wrap? Overall, they did a good job for a last minute hire and the price was right. Would use again for a last minute move, but would make sure I had time to pack everything myself. read more

I booked with this company last month. The owner was nice and responsive but when the day came, there was a disconnect between what the owner told me and what the movers actually did (such as mask wearing etc). They were supposed to get to our house by 8 am but the night before, the owner called and told us they had to come at 7 am because they booked another client for noon! It wasnt enough time and they ended up having to push the time back on their next client, but also still trying to rush things for us. We were 100% willing to pay for the whole day since they charged per hour. The morning of we were scrambling to get our 3 kids under 3 ready and out of the house so they could start moving. It was extremely hectic. Also, they are supposed to take furniture apart but they ended up leaving some of the larger items in one piece like our two cribs and parts of the bed and then told us there wasn't enough space to fit everything. We moved an hour away and my husband ended up having to make 2 more trips to move everything. The cherry on top is afterwards, we went back to the house and saw holes in the wall because they just pulled our TV mount from the wall instead of taking the time to unscrew screws so pieces of the dry wall came out. We ended up having to credit our buyer for this because we were in escrow to sell the house. I had no idea this happened until after the fact and how much stuff was left behind until after we tipped the movers individually and they had already left. Honestly the movers were nice people but everything was just so disorganized. You get what you pay for so I would recommend a more expensive company. read more

Owner (american name is Jack) is someone who refuses to give us his insurance information after multiple items were broken and damaged. They don't wrap your furniture and everything gets super dirty or full of tape makes that damages your property. What a waste working with these guys. They ruined a family heirloom (broke a vase), broke a tv set, completely damaged my piano and all of my cream couches are no longer cream and clean. They broke signs and work like molasses. They work slow and being inexperienced movers on purpose to waste more and more time. Don't believe the rest of the yelp reviews. This company lacks responsibility, care and time management. I used this company the end of last month and they did a solid job! I hired the three man crew and they were very professional, moved expeditiously yet carefully and were very respectful and communicative. I highly recommend them. I called the owner, in advance before booking them, to speak with him to ensure that my furniture would be handled with the utmost care, considering I have a large dining room table, bedroom set, armoire and dressers that are a mixture of distressed and raw wood. He reassured me that the movers would pay special attention, and they did exactly this. The movers showed up on time and took extra care in properly wrapping EVERYTHING... from my furniture to my boxes to my big screen television. We were moving from Sherman oaks to Culver City and hired three men to help us with our 2 bedroom move. I highly recommend utilizing their guide for the number of movers per bedroom. I think it took a total of 6 hours to move absolutely everything including the drive - we also had a lot of stairs! They were amazing, very communicative and friendly, extremely hard working. Not a single item of ours was damaged or even scraped. They were careful to pad and place everything. Thank you LA Movers for doing a great job! This was one of the most stressful moves I've ever done. My two movers took great care of my items while moving them and that was a major concern for me. Nothing was damaged during my move!!! I would love to give five stars but there were a few things that didn't go so well. 1. They showed up 1 hour late. I was given a window between 3-5 they didn't get there until 6. Jack the owner did make this right by giving me a discount after I asked. Thank you Jack!!! 2. One of the movers did not have a mask. When I asked him about it he said it flew out the window and asked if I had an extra one. I didn't. He then said he had a shirt he could use in the truck. He returned with the shirt on his face however he did not keep in on the remainder of the move. One word, COVID-19. I didn't like that at all. 3. They were not prepared with tools and took about 20 minutes trying to find the right tool to disassemble my bed. They finally said they would have to leave to go home and get the tools. I asked what does it look like I probably have it. Once they described it to me, I went and found the tool and provided them with it. 4. My move for a 1 bedroom 1 bath took 4 hours I though that was a long time. I had pretty much moved almost of my things with the exception of the large items and a few small things. One of the guys said they usually send 3-4 workers and he's not sure why only two was sent. At any rate, although there were hiccups I would use this company again (with masks) because they took such care with my items. If I can rate this negative stars I WOULD! These guys were easy to book but they lost my 4 ft high entry table and damaged my sound bar! You can move your stuff faster and safer! They took sooo long to move my stuff, overall 6 hour job! Not worth it at all Anyone can move faster and not loose anything from point A to point B. My experience with Los Angeles Movings was a great one. First off it was last minute and they were able to book me for a Sunday morning. Jack who set up my reservation was super informative and dedicated to making my move happen. So thank you Jack. The movers who helped my girlfriend and I were Mauricio and Jose. I don't even know where to begin besides HARD WORKERS. We had a large studio fully furnished and these 2 guys busted their ass. Despite all the other furniture we have a BIG French door fridge and one HEAVY tv stand. These 2 men huffed and puffed their way through the move. NO COMPLAINTS, NO BREAKS Up & down stairs all day. Not to mention super nice people. They came to do a job and an amazing Job they did. We were skeptical due to some reviews about damaged property, but all our furniture arrived perfectly fine. As for prices they are low and affordable which is why I reached out to them. Every other company was charging so much and then there were lots of extra fees.
