Took my 85 year old father in for an evaluation because he is in severe pain from severe spinal…read morestenosis caused by the arthritis in the 2 back fusions he had 20+ years ago. It basically means the arthritis has grown to a point where it is severaly pinching his spinal cord. Over the past 9 months when he was first diagnosed (we had to take care of other medical issues during this time - reason for the delay) he has severely worsened. We were advised by the surgeon that we needed to go to pt and pain management before surgery. This was mainly to prove that he has no other treatment option other than surgery. Since it is now 8 months since the diagnosis he has gotten to a point where he cannot walk far at all without severe pain and numbness in his legs, causing fear of falling. 8 months ago he could go to town shopping on his own - walk around the store and come home. By the time he got home he would be in pain but then would sit down and recover. At this clinic, he was "evaluated" by Jeff Hill, one of the 3 people who RUN ALL THE KELLY HAWKINS CLINICS and is listed as OWNER of this one in Vegas. Jeff kept insisting that my father, who is at a level 8 on pain with hydrocodone pills every 6 hours, could benefit from physical therapy. He stated that my father's possibility of rehab after surgery is POOR... obviously this man didn't know my father had heart surgery 2 years ago and the surgeon told him he recovered better than some 60 year olds who went through a valve replacement, and 3 bypasses!!! He diligently did his reha after with a home care nurse and recovered wonderfully!!!!! Even before his heart surgery the surgeon told him he is healthy as can be, just not the heart... OPEN HEART SURGERY...on an 83 year old... and my Dad easily recovered with his post rehab.....This Jeff guy just makes assumptions not knowing details and doesn't seem to care. Even the surgeon 8 months prior said surgery was the only way to CURE his problem. So Jeff would rather my father be in pain, worsening his stenosis by prolonging surgery, than agree that PT wasn't the answer. I agree with physical therapy 100% in many cases as I have gone after several surgeries (never to Kelly Hawkins). But in this case it doesn't take a rocket sientist to know that when a man can hardly walk, stand or sit because of the SPINAL CORD PAIN AND NUMBNESS, that PT is NOT the answer. His eval suggested 1 month of treatment for my father. Idiotic. PLUS he said that we told him "we are only here for the insurance." THAT is NOT what I specifically said, it's a lie and not what I meant - my father is on Medicare with a secondary insurance. All this man wanted was to get money into his clinic by trying to force someone into therapy when it would only make him worse. Spinal Stenosis can get so bad as to paralyze a person and make them use a wheelchair.. this guy didn't care - it was his ego and his clinic raking in more money that mattered most to him. Stay clear from this egotistical jerk!

From day one, she made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns, and tailored the therapy to exactly what I needed. She not only helped me recover from my injury, but also taught me ways to manage my pain and prevent future issues. Even after I was officially cleared, I chose to keep scheduling with her because of how much better she made me feel, especially with my tight back muscles. She has an incredible way of combining professionalism with genuine care, and every appointment leaves me feeling better. 10/10 for Dr. Jessie!

Both of these therapists received their advanced graduate degrees in PT at the University of Southern California. I am more than happy to say I just finished a successful course of treatment with Jeff Dietrich for advanced degenerative changes in my lumbar back, including severe spinal canal stenosis, nerve compression, disc protrusions and bulges, and multilevel lumbar facet arthropathy. I am a late-70s female, lifelong athlete and musician who has no intention of sitting around. About Jeff Dietrich: Jeff's technical expertise and advanced knowledge of spine rehabilitation are world-class. I say this because he is the 5th physical therapist I have seen in the 7 years, and the only one who was able to use multiple approaches to solve my pain issues and relearn proper body mechanics--without steroid injections or surgery. On a personal level, he is meticulously focused on the patient's needs and observant of their personal goals. Jeff is also an excellent listener and teacher with the emotional intelligence to motivate anyone willing to commit to the consistent work of physical therapy. I am very grateful that my physician, William Rosenberg, M.D., referred me to JD for rehab. Not only is the staff friendly and efficient, but now I can again participate in the physical activities that bring me joy, without the pain. Big "thanks" to all!

I'm thinking. Ok, wow He must be really busy today. He offered me an injection to see if it might help as I was still working. That didn't help but for a few days. Made another appt, and mind you my co-pays are $55.00 each visit. 2nd appt, he gave me a different type of injection. That too didn't help too well, but a little. I'm 67, and knowing I need a replacement, as he told me last visit that's the ONLY thing that will really help me, I made a 3rd appt to get it going for the surgery. MY MOUTH FELL TO THE FLOOR WHEN HE TOLD ME I HAVE TO WAIT 3 MONTHS AFTER INJECTIONS TO GET THE SURGERY! He never..ever told me this! I was now off work on disability. I started to tear up a little, I was shocked he didn't tell me. I told him, you never told me this!! His reply was...It's pretty standard knowledge. Well...obviously not as I didn't know! Asked him what am I supposed to do now, I'm off work. He then just shrugged his shoulders, saying..I don't know. Shrug your shoulders??? How unprofessional can you get? As I'm now twiddling my thumbs for 3 months, I found a different Dr, but after 3 months are up, I'm not getting and type of disability payments from my work for 30 days, then my long term disability kicks in. 30 days with no pay!!! I can't afford that. But I'm stuck!! Had he told me before he gave me those injections, that I would have to wait 3 months, i would not have had the injections, because my main reason for seeing him was to get the surgery over with, as I'm not getting any younger!! He doesnt take the time to educate or inform his patients about anything! Didn't say if I should stay off my knee, do I walk, do exercises, use ice, use heat...maybe physical therapy. Nothing!!! Just prescribed me medication. Horrible on giving us the time we deserve and tell us what the hell is going on!! Now I get an email from his office as he's no longer in practice. I wonder why. Very fishy practice...

He is straight forward and good at conveying the information you need to hear as well as answering any questions you may have. Also, the surgical center (of which he is part owner) is top notch. Everything went smoothly with my procedure and the follow up appointments were worthwhile. The only slightly negative remark I will make is that there is often a wait time longer than what one would expect when coming in for an appointment, in this case follow-up appointments. I guess that is to be expected at a thriving medical practice though. I plan to use Dr. Ong's expertise for my future ortho needs.

On surgery day, he even moved the incision site a little to avoid my hand tattoo! He's pretty awesome! I did have some issues because my surgery was near Christmas so my sutures should have come out in 5 days. But I was scheduled for 12 days post op to get them out. I ended up going to urgent care the day afyer Christmas and got out on 2 weeks of antibiotics because it got infected and a couple areas tore and made a hole. Even the urgent care doc said those stitches need to come out ASAP! Stitches came out Monday, even the tech was saying they were left in too long. Oh well. Besides from the scheduling mess up, the fact I'm not in constant pain is wonderful! Thank you Dr. Laroche for helping me!

They are all about covering their behind and not providing the best care. Run by lawyers, not…read moredoctors. Tone deaf about their policies. Horrible cumbersome technology as well. 1) After reading about possible solutions to physical problems with your joints, it is apparent they are going to do the bare minimum in order to keep a low risk management profile. The lawyers run this place, not the doctors. 2) They want you to check in ahead of time via internet. Ok fine. But instead of a questionnaire where you check a box about cancer, diabetes, etc and hit submit at the end (like MOST doctors), you have to answer each question individually with a slow tedious dropdown with lots of clicks and processing time in between. Prepare to spend 45 mins. Again, its all about legal risk management for them. 3) They have more questions than the average doctor and frankly most of them are not relevant to your condition. Risk management. 4) They require you fill out the same tedious questionnaire and upload your insurance and driver's license EACH VISIT. I repeat EACH VISIT, even it if was just a week ago. Most doctors just want you to verify your contact information and emergency contact. Not them. 5) Additionally, they want you to show up 30 MINS BEFORE the appointment to "CHECK IN", even if you have already done with their tedious website and were there a week earlier. ***THEY WILL NOT SEE YOU OTHERWISE***. 6) So you get there and check in 30 mins early, but they make YOU wait at least 30 mins past the appointment before they call you back. So a full hour of doing nothing. And then you will wait another 15 mins before the doctor finally shows up. 7) They will NOT see you for more than one condition per visit. If you have a problem with your knee and your shoulder, they require you make separate visits with the long check in process despite the burden on the patient. TONEDEAF.
