This summer, we learned that our daughter was disciplined by being made to stand against the wall as a "time out" for running around the center. This was never disclosed to us as part of the school's discipline policy, and we were not informed at the time it happened, we only found out because our daughter mentioned it. Even more concerning, our daughter told us another child was made to stand against the wall as well, and was reportedly told "who told you you could sit down" when he tried to sit. We don't know every detail of that second incident, but if true, it points to a culture of discipline that relies on humiliation and intimidation rather than positive guidance. We've reported this formally and are waiting on a response. A call was promised today (7/2/26) however, I have not received a call yet. Until we see real accountability and a change in disciplinary practices, we can't recommend this school anymore.

Reading Town is mainly known for their services in helping students with the English subject such as reading comprehension, speed reading, grammar, vocabulary building, spelling, contextual analysis, and much more. The center also assists students with math and a few other subject areas as well. Summer programs and a course in STEM robotics are held every summer, which further enhances students' academic abilities and allows for them to get a step ahead of their studies. Workbooks are administered and given to students according to their diagnosis tests, and each student is assigned their own unique Reading Town online account/profile. The directors, Mr. and Mrs. Cho, are wonderful people who really care about the well-being of the students, and also maintain their academic files by keeping track of their record and progress. If you are interested in having your child enroll in a learning/tutoring/after-school center, I highly recommend Reading Town!

I have seen dramatic changes with his math skills, confidence and it also helps that he looks forward to coming here. During the summer of last year I was so surprised in his speed and understanding of math. He also became really great in doing mental math. I am unsure if Mathnasium had anything to do with it but regardless I am satisfied customer and a happy mother. My son also has had some bad days due to his personal behavior but Raven and the tutors are incredible. They are professional and do no lose their cool or their demeanor when my son tries to tests his limits. My daughter who is 7 years old could come here every day if she could. Many times shes the one asking if she could go even when her two brothers are not with her. She loves the incentives. They definitely keep her motivated. Raven is friendly, personable, professional and is great at updating us with the kids progress. Many times when she is not talking to parents I love to chat with her and pick her brain about anything related to math, learning styles, kids behaviors, etc. My only suggestion and hopes for the future plans with Mathnasium is if they could be open on Fridays and expand their hours.
