I used to love it here... but it's gone down hill the past couple of years. This year was the final straw. I went in to order contacts. They took my money and didn't order them for another five days. Even after a follow up email, they lied and said they were ordered the day I paid for them. I was also double charged because they "supposedly" deleted my payment. Terrible service. Cannot get billing correct. Every time in there quoted one price then charged way extra. Finally just left as a customer and now 3 months later getting bills from them again for incorrect things that I never even got. I wanted to share the experience I recently had at the Front Range Family Eye care clinic in the small medical building on GVR and Argonne. I went in for a routine eye exam and while waiting I was taken back for some testing. Want told what it was for but I assumed it was necessary. I proved to see the doctor and then I am ready to leave and I go to pay my $20 copay. They proceed to tell me that I owe $79. I ask what it was for and they said $20 was for my copay and $59 was for the pretesting. Now mind you, I was not told about this by anyone but they said it was in the intake paperwork I filled out online. The testing was so that they didn't have to dilate my eyes. However, I was never told that I had the option to have my eyes dilated and have it paid for by my insurance. I only had $40 at the time because I was only expecting to my copay. I ask them to bill me the remainder. They then tell me they can't and are trying to force me to pay the remaining balance and tell me that the doctor said he was going to fire them if they don't collect. They then try to get me to sign a paper saying I will pay in one month out I will be sent to collections. I refuse to sign it and I leave. I call later to ask to speak to a supervisor and they tell me the doctor is the owner and that they will pass along the message. I never hear from him. I go in today and pay off the balance and ask if I can leave another message for him and I'm visibly upset. The receptionist does not write down what I'm telling her and she just listens. Then another lady comes up to the desk and said that I'm being rude and yells at me to have a as nice day. She did not even attempt to understand my frustration. I have taken my children to this place for over 5 years and paid for their overpriced glasses and I will never go there again. It was very deceptive and rude the way I was treated. I hope no one else has a similar experience when going here but I would definitely not recommend them. read more

I have never posted a negative review for a physician before, but I felt the need to do this. I was taken advantage of financially by these optometrists and I was also given substandard care. The doctor told me I would not be charged for follow up visits for an eye problem that I had, and I did get charged. The doctor also filled out on my chart saying that she had performed a specific eye test, and she never did. I recommend seeing another optometrist as this team does not have it together. I tried to speak to Denise at the front desk about this, and she said she would call me back after looking into it and never did. About a month later I got another bill. read more

Finding the right glasses was hassle free and staff made better selection than I had originally picked out and I went with their suggestion. This rating is only for the Green Valley Ranch Front range family care. I'm sure the other locations are better, cos it can't all be that bad could it? Scheduled an eye appointment for two, refused to tell us information needed before the appointment and charge extra for lack of communication by them. The front desk ladies were so very disrespectful and difficult. They continuously had snarky remarks and attitudes towards every encounter and said rude things under their breath every minute. My sister and brother-in-law referred me here and I'm beyond glad they did ! I did have some issues with receiving the new patient paperwork through email but so far that is the only issue. Soo listen you all !... I have been wearing glasses since I was like 6 or 7 years old. So eye exams aren't my first rodeo ... or so I thought! I have ALWAYS had issues with my left eye, been told in the past that it's a lazy eye, that I have a blind spot and need to go see a specialist cause we need to rule out a tumor, back to a lazy eye ‍‍ At the age of 28 this is the FIRST time that I have had an eye exam where 1. I was truly heard about what I saw out of my left eye ( or lack there of) 2. I was given an explanation of what is possibly going on and how we are going to try and fix 3. I didn't feel degraded or passed over quickly during my exam. I was constantly encouraged and wasn't rushed at all. 4. I cried , like legit cried because for the first time I felt heard, understood, encouraged, and assured that it's going to be ok , something isn't majorly wrong and it's not all in my head AND my lovely doctor was SUPER excited that we figured out what was going on and how to fix it. Like I think she was more excited then me cause I'm just in shock of this LIFE CHANGING experience and excited to be able to actually see A LOT better. read more

I finally got around to getting my eyes checked! Yes, I procrastinated long enough and since my guy was in the same building for dental work I made an appointment. I'm so glad I did. Woohoo! My first impression was everyone hete is friendly. The young lady taking my information,checking my insurance and finding a time frame that fit my schedule all was quite efficient and she seemed genuinely happy to help me. The technician explained all the tests I would be doing and made sure I was comfortable. My hangup was that darn glaucoma test with puffs of air! Not that it's bad, I just keep blinking when I shouldn't. She explained they don't do that here as they have a different test for checking. Oh Yes,I was very happy to hear and now quite at ease. I felt that all the testing now is so up to date and was so easy and quick. The Doctor was very professional and friendly. I've been told I have some eye problems, I explained that and was quite happy to find out my issue appears to be easily solved and not something else. The selection they have is nice. Quite a bit of name brands, which I appreciate,and styles. I'm looking for frameless and although they have some, I'm still looking for the right pair. By the way the optical technician advised me they can make glasses to fit me. Boy, I felt special. I may just be back to purchase from this Eye care group as they are truly a one stop shop. I scheduled an anual eye exam because I reciently moved to Colorado and my eyes have been itchy and my insurance allows one annual check without copay. Upon my appointment I checked in with reception and was taken back for an eye exam to which the eye doctor said it's atributed to some calcium buildup under the eyelid and suggested I use some drops with antihistimen and if the problem persists then it could be removed surgically. When I left there was no copay and everything was great until I get a bill in the mail saying my insurance will not cover the exam, I called my insurance and they said the office billed it as a medical procedure and I needed to contact them.... Well I did and they said that it was a medical procedure so I'm stuck with a bill for $99 dollars. I will never use their service and I cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

I went in Vision Source of GVR with a prescription from another doctor. I was very impressed that this facility had way much more choices of frames that my other eye doctor. The staff was super nice on helping me find the frames that I was looking for. To make a long story short, I had all my eye documents from my other doctor transfer here and will be coming back soon. I just moved to another state. I left my glasses at a friend's house and when he gave them to me they was broken. I was very very upset with my friend. I called them and said my glasses was broken. I got scared because I paid a lot for them. Thank God they was still under warranty. It only cost me 45.00. I thank God and Vision source for taking care of me. read more

I went to get my eyes checked because I couldn't see at night. I didn't want to go but I had to go. When I got there it was the most friendliness place I every been too. They treated me as a person not a atm. I found out I had burned both of my corneas in my eyes. They also informed me that I needed shades to prevent further damaged. A few months later I broke my glasses and was scared to take them because I no longer had insurance. They told me my lenses will be fixed for free. I only had to pay for the Shades clip on. They are the best place to go to get your eyes checked. read more

I have been going to front Range Family Eyecare for several years. I recently saw one of the new doctors, Dr. Eric Tran. He is, by all accounts, absolutely exceptional! I am diabetic and he carefully reviewed all test results and explained to me areas of concern and how to be proactive with preventative care! I have never had an ophthalmologist explain to me how best to approach my eye care given the diabetes. I left the office with a plan and felt very relieved knowing I am in his care. The entire office is so amazing -- Carmelita, Brenda and Kayla -- they feel like my family! After my appointment, it occurred to me the importance of more ophthalmologists being better educated on diabetic care of our eyes -- with the understanding of fluctuating glucose and the affects it has on our eyes, etc. there was not one question Dr. Tran could not answer for me in great detail. I don't reccommend this place. I get there at my scheduled appointment time to learn that they canceled my appointment. This place did not notify me of any cancellations. Come to find out they were calling a different number to verify my insurance that what i provided. So thr eye doctor comes out to state she has to leave after their mistake, she had other plans. From reading the reviews this place puts to much emphasis on insurance and not patient care. Oh and it took them less than five minuites to verify my insurance in person. read more

I am extremely pleased with the care I received at Vision Source of GVR. It was my first time at this office, which always brings a bit of reluctance to the experience as you are never sure of what you are going to get. Luckily, I was in great hands! Doctor O'Brien was knowledgeable and helped me understand every part of the exam. The state-of-the-art technology was impressive and I was satisfied with the pictures they took of my eye. It was worth a little extra to get the information she can from the photographs. She really cared about my overall health and gave me solutions to all of my irritable symptoms of my contacts from trying samples of new contacts as well as different eye drops. The best part was her sharing knowledge with me about why I need certain sunglasses, eye drops, etc. It has changed my outlook on my eye care and will impact the longevity of my health. My experience at this office was awful. My financial options and the cost of the appointment were not explained to me before the appointment had already taken place. I was under the impression that they accepted Medicaid and that my appointment would be covered. WRONG. They accept Medicaid, but bill eye exams in such a way that I had to spend my grocery money on the exam. being disable and destitute I specifically came here because they said they accepted Medicaid and they should have explained beforehand that my appointment would not be covered. In addition to being tricked into an appointment I could not afford, when I was provided with my prescription they let off a crucial piece of information in order to try to strong arm me into spending hundreds I don't have on their overpriced glasses in the office. When I explained that I cannot afford that and I needed to order my glasses from somewhere reasonable, they were rude and refused to give me the information. I ended up having to go to another provider to get it, and upon explaining my experience here they provided me my full prescription free of charge. the service was Terrible. DO NOT COME HERE. They are schiesty and unempathetic to empoverished and under served populations. read more

My daughter went here for an eye check. Had some confusion talking insurance, they kept referring to my insurance as Eyemed when it was branded differently. Not sure it should be my responsibility to know the ins and outs of the vision insurance industry, would rather they talked apples and apples. Then when I went for an eye check, found they had posted the insurance in my name instead of my daughters. So I had to have them resubmit. From an exam perspective, these folks were great, just not as pleased with the front office. read more
