That was back at the end of June. I checked a few Yelp reviews. Mark sounded nice so I gave him the job. Mistake No. 1. I kept calling to see if the gaskets were in so we could make an appointment. Finally a month later July 24th we had an appointment scheduled at 9. He never showed up, never called, didn't answer any phone calls or emails. Finally heard from him after that date with excuses about having had to help his daughter, yada, yada, yada. He had the parts so I gave him a pass and rescheduled. He then couldn't come because he fell off the roof and hurt himself. It would be a while before he felt better. I gave him yet another pass. Finally he rescheduled on another day and on the day he was supposed to come, he called and said he lost the parts. He would have to look for them and would call me back. I should have said to forget it but I felt bad about all his problems. He didn't find them so he reordered the parts. More unanswered calls and left messages. He finally got the second parts and I tried to reschedule. He then called and said he has too many personal problems and couldn't do the job. That was the end of August. So from June to August it was nothing but phone calls and emails but never got the job done. Back to Yelp, found a great guy with no bad reviews, who immediately ordered the parts, they came in quickly, he called and scheduled for the same day, he came on time, replaced the gaskets, was helpful, pleasant, and conscientious. Mark sounded like a nice man so I didn't want to give him a negative review but Yelp is here for a reason. It won't work unless people give honest reviews. Maybe once he gets back on his feet, he will be responsible. But I would give him one chance only and not get strung along for two months as I allowed to happen.

Meir replied to my request within hours and came in for an assessment in a few days. The install was a few weeks later because he had to procure parts for the project. He knocked out the installation in a day. The ducting work had to go through two walls and multiple cabinet surfaces, and I was very happy with the result. One note though. I paid in full upfront when he was procuring parts, before everything went down. I understand this for a smaller business, but this might not be how every contractor works. Meir was very communitive via text for updates and I wasn't concerned. Would recommend Meir's service.
