During the inspection, he used a metal wire brush without disconnecting power, causing sparks to fly. Shortly afterward, my electric oven/stove stopped working as well. (I have warranty so l've already scheduled a repair with Home Depot) Communication was unprofessional, including inappropriate comments directed at me. I had a washer that started violently shaking. SmartFix was selected based on their low service call rate and ratings. Repair person(s) came out in personal vehicle and neither could speak English well enough for me to understand due to their heavy accent (Armenian?). I contacted the owner afterward (who writes English well) and asked him if he could send someone who speaks understandable English to do the actual repair. He wanted to know what the problem was, and I told him the entire conversation was frustrating. He ended up sending out someone else (also in his own car) who didn't speak English any better and who apparently works for another company (Fixable). Regardless, they fixed my suspension problem for $350 and my washer is now running smoothly, which I'm thankful for. But the inability to ask questions during the repair was concerning and with two different companies being involved without a prior explanation, I will not reuse. I'm also not sure if I saved any money by going with them, but they are apparently qualified. Update: Owner contacted me after I posted my review to apologize and advise that some changes were made and they are now "operating with a stronger and more professional team focused on providing a better experience." He requested a 5-star review but my experience with them didn't change. Maybe yours will. read more

I had a poor experience with this washing machine diagnostic service. During the diagnostic visit, Vusal behaved unprofessionally. He arrived in a personal car rather than a service vehicle, complained about the distance he had traveled, and did not remove his shoes when entering my home. Communication was also difficult due to a language barrier, which made it harder to understand the diagnosis and recommendations. The diagnosis itself was incorrect. He stated that the switch actuator was not working. I replaced it, but the machine continued to malfunction. He also failed to notice a heavy blanket inside the washer, which caused the drum to bang against the sides. This imbalance was the most likely cause of the damage and likely required replacement of the suspension springs. As a result, I lost time, paid a diagnostic fee, and ultimately still had to replace the washing machine. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service. Edit: After I posted the review, he called me three times from two different numbers with no voicemail, sent a text, and a WhatsApp message objecting to the review. read more

There is somewhat of a language or cultural barrier here. I think most of the challenge of working together was not understand what each other needed or how things would work. It took 3 visits to repair the issue of our ice maker portion of our refrigerator. The office is very responsive, but the technician really pushes hard to add other services such as deep cleaning the washer and dryer. They were also extremely expensive. The bait for $55 flat diagnosis fee catches you. Then they strike with a very large labor fee. read more

This company scammed us and are refusing to refund our money!! We have called, left messages and when we get someone on the phone they hang up on us. We have had to use different phones because they will not pick up if my husband calls. They came to our home for a service call for our fridge $55 cost, completed the inspection and were going to order 2 parts to fix the fridge. The tech said he was not sure if both parts will be needed and would issue refund on parts not used. The cost for everything was going to be $762 and we paid 1/2 upfront $381 via Zelle. Before the parts came in, the fridge completely died 2 days later. We decided to just buy a new fridge since we have had several issues in the past and its was almost 10years old. We called and requested a refund since they will not be fixing the fridge anymore and even said we would pay for shipping cost to return the parts. They told us they will issue a refund. This was in MARCH 2026 and they have not issued the refund and ignoring our calls. We drove by the business address but it looks like a residential condo area. We will be pursing small claims court. I had a really bad experience with Smartfix. My dryer had a minor issue, my husband removed 3 screws and couldn't get it back. When the technician showed up he said he needed to evaluate the dryer, after 10 mins he dismantled the entire dryer and said it would be $350. I told him it just needed the three screws back. So please just put it back the way it was. He shoved everything back. Not in the right places and disconnected all the wires and electrical. Half the screws were missing. I still had to pay the $66 fee. I called him to come back the next day because I no longer had a dryer, and the technician hung up on me. I had a different company come out the next day and said it was now damaged and they wouldn't touch it. They said there is no reason why it was disconnected and dismantled. I ended up having to buy a new dryer... I would not recommend smartfix. read more

I searched around to look for a reasonable pricing for my dishwasher to get fixed. This came up and the owner mentioned $55 for consultation and will be applied if I decide to get the repair done. Oct 10th when the consultation was scheduled, technician came in, mentioned that the control board is not functioning. He gave me a quote for $495 (that's what I remembered the technician saying). The technician charged me $60 instead of the $55, I let it be since it'll go towards the repair anyways. Fast forward to Oct 14th when I message Smart Fix again asking for a written quote to show my husband, I got a response saying they'll let me know once they get in the office. I followed up again on Oct 20th but with no response, I followed up again on Oct 22nd and was asked what my phone number was.
