My friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday at the Conrad Spa. This spa is really the only full…read moreservice spa in town, meaning there is a pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room, along with showers and all of the appropriate toiletries. We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.

The massage session was very relaxing and helped me unwind after a long day. The therapist was…read moreattentive and adjusted the pressure to my needs, especially in the back area. I felt a noticeable improvement afterward. The only small downside was that the room felt slightly cool at times.

I arrived and filled out a questionnaire on the iPad about how my skin is. I waited in their waiting room in the back and after about ten minutes my esthetician came to get me. She took me to a room and asked more questions and then explained the process we were about to go through. The facial was superb! She was informative but also let there be silence when I wanted it. Afterwards there was no pressure to get a membership (my biggest fear because I HATE a sales pitch). My skin felt cleaner and was glowing. The tipping system was odd because it was on a separate iPad. Other than that though I highly recommend this location because it was great! If I lived closer I'd consider getting a membership.

The booking process was easy, and the timing was convenient, especially since we had a babysitter and the salon was open on a holiday. The ambiance in the location was nice and clean. The front desk workers were nice and friendly. The tranquility room sounded fancy, but it was just a room with crystal light packs or tea. Maybe some ambient music or something a bit more tranquil would have been better. The advertisement promised a customized facial, but when I went in, she said she was doing just a basic facial since she didn't know my skin type. I assume that's the same as a custom facial, but it didn't sound as impressive. I'm okay with someone not going all out with strong products the first time. Overall, I had a very relaxing experience. The facial included a short shoulder massage, which was a nice touch. I had Marquita, who was very nice and professional. I'm happy I came and wish I could visit more often. Marquita recommended a customized facial for our next visit with an oxygen treatment. Afterward, the front desk staff come to talk to you. I was told about the membership program which would cost $75 (the monthly membership charge for a 60-minute basic facial) plus after some probing I learned that the recommended treatment was an additional $65. That surprised me because I had assumed that the basic facial was the standard treatment and the oxygen treatment was considered the "custom" part of it. That's not the case; they consider the oxygen treatment, peels, etc. an "advanced treatment," that would be used to make your regimen more effective. so the true charge goes up to $135 plus a 20% tip (off of the market value, which they will remind you that is higher than the member rate, and the calculations on the iPad are based on the non member rate.) They explained that I could save up credits and do one facial every other month without paying extra. That didn't sound super enticing. I assume you'd lose that $10 value? Another thing that threw me off was the convenience charge added to your tip unless you pay cash. It wasn't explained until I specifically asked about it. Again, definitely worth trying but just make sure to ask a lot of clarifying questions when they are explaining the membership.

Located on Main Street in Carmel, this multi-story spa offers all types of skincare services and sells quality skincare lines in the lobby. I'd been in to pick up a few products before, but finally booked a facial last week. I called ahead to book my appointment. I wanted them to assess what my skin needed, so I gave them my budget and told them to do whatever they thought was best in that price range. My esthetician, Rose, was amazing and did a great job clearly explaining what she was doing. She answered all of my questions in a helpful way and I learned that she has 14+ years of experience. She said that this is her favorite place she's worked because everyone here is passionate about skin and they get all of the new gadgets. She hydrated my skin, did a mini chemical peel (one with no downtime), microbladed my face (gets rid of all dead skin/hair/helps you be glowy), and did laser genesis to stimulate collagen and kill bacteria (potential acne). My face was super glowy after and my skin felt tight the following day. The products that she used were top of the line (IS Clinical, Babor, etc), so the price of the facial truly is worth the quality of product that they're giving you. I appreciated the custom facial and was surprised that the glow was instant. Highly recommend!

I was promptly greeted by Steph at the front door and treated to a drink before my facial. It was a one hour facial with a scrub, red light therapy and small extraction. I thoroughly enjoyed the Eminence products and their natural floral smells from start to finish. The entire process was very relaxing and I probably booked another visit for the new year. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing facial spot. They have a variety of other higher ticket items for those who have a better understanding of facials and skin care than I do :-)

I got the Detox & Glow facial, which is customized to your skin needs and recommended as a good place to start. It's 75 minutes long and as relaxing as it is effective. From the heated bed and dark room, to the tingling exfoliation treatment, relaxing LED lights and more, it was a great experience. I especially liked the dermaplane treatment (gets all hairs and dead skin cells off your face with no down time) and LED red light, which I had on my face for 15 minutes. Fun fact: NASA uses LED red light to grow plants in outer space, so imagine how well that helps stimulate collagen on your face! This is a popular spot, so be prepared to book months in advance. They sell and use the Eminence organic skincare line, which is gentle and seems to have pure ingredients. I was given some samples for the road, as well as a hot tea, which was so sweet. Enjoy!
