They are rude and condeswnding. They flat out lie to your face, even when presented with evidence. They will say your referral is pending while it turns out they never sent it to your insurance for approval. Each time I have waited almost two weeks for some person just to send a referral to my insurance for approval. Due to the delays from the referral I went septic...twice! I have seen him several times. The front office staff is somewhere between distracted and friendly, usually toward the latter. The back office staff is really great, my favorite part of the office. Dr. Christiansen himself I am a little iffy on. He knows his business, but sometimes seems to think I am a hypochondriac or I exaggerate my symptoms, which makes me not want to go in. The location is great for me, and I don't have any huge complaints, but tbh, I haven't gone back in quite a while because I don't particularly like being dismissed. This could have easily been avoided if this doctor filled out the forms online, but not only does he refuse to do that (probably so he can charge for it), but they do not even have the proper forms in his office. I mean... how is that even possible? All of our utilities, our rent, and our bills are all overdue, all because he failed to fill out a small little section of a very simple form. Thankfully, my mother no longer needs the surgery she was scheduled to have with this doctor. After seeing such an appaling lack of care to such a simple task, I wouldn't trust him to make me a bowl of cereal, much less with my mothers life.

Steve asked if was on Ocella, I said yes and he said the Medical Procider mentioned I was changing it? He phrased it as a question and I said "oh no I have been on Ocella for years, I don't want to change my birth control at all at all, it very important to me" he conversed with me about how he understands, especially with birth control, when something works you don't want to mess with it and that that was fine, we'd stick with Ocella. I'm given my prescription in a white paper bag as usual and head home. Upon arriving at home I see my medication is taped up in an additional white paper bag inside of the packaging. I've never received it this way before in the 8 years I've been taking it.. and you know why ? BECAUSE HE HANDED ME A DIFFERENT BIRTH CONTROL! I understand that maybe this is what my insurance is now covering, whatever. They are similar but this brand has a higher anxiety side effect (I have an anxiety condition!) higher rates or headaches and migraines which I already struggle with wearing contacts and long hours on screens for work, it also has a higher risk of weight gain. I feel like he tried to sneak it past me, didn't want to hear me potentially upset about the change and decided just to tape the sh*t up for me to notice later on. IF YOURE CHANGING MY MEDICATION I WANT TO KNOW! I WANT TO BE INFORMED ON THE DIFFERENT SIDE EFFECTS AND DISCUSS MY OPTIONS! I take birth control for reasons outside of birth control as I struggle with PMDD and HS and it helps to manage my symptoms.
