Oracle Nails for my mom wasn't the best experience. Service: They greet you pretty friendly, staff is kind and ready to help you. I live close to this area, so I have witnessed staff always willing to help customers, and greet me with a slime. On this occasion my mom chose to do french tips, for a wedding. Vibe: It is pretty clean when you walk in, but there isn't that bling vibe giving. Compared to other salons I've visited, Oracle Nails felt dull--there was little decor or music to create a welcoming vibe, and the strong chemical smell made things uncomfortable Quality: This was where this ALL fell. As my mom was getting her nails done, they where filling them down, and the lady looked like she had NO idea to what she was doing. When she was filling them the position was incorrect and I don't know what she did but my moms nails wasn't filling. This caused the lady to apply more pressure, and then my mom nails skin started to show and bleed. EW! it was very painful for her and the lady kept trying to file it down harder, cause it apparently helped. My mom said to stop, and left the salon. Totally not an amazing experience. I have no idea if the problem was due to the lady's lack of experience, the tools used, or just an off day, but this is not the first time I've heard of similar complaints from friends in the area. But one thing I do know for sure is that me or my mom will not be coming again! Other of my friends that also live close have stated to me similar experiences. This "Little bear's birthday party" theme is my second set of nails they made for me. My friends and I, who are Asian and prefer fresh, natural and cute nails, realized that the vast majority of nail salons in the United States typically only do the "over-the-top" manicures favored by Europeans and Americans. I realized that this shop is actually more of a "solid color" and "showy" manicure that Europeans and Americans often do. I didn't think anyone would be able to bring a complex picture sample to a shop like this, but this shop surprised me. The technician who serves me should be the female owner of this shop. She may not have superb painting skills, but she really takes every tiny pattern and detail very, very seriously. In her painting process, I think she is really conscientious and responsible. I used to go to "the art of nails" they had been charging me $60 for acrylic with gel, which is a rip off, and their work had been rushed, poor quality, and definitely not worth the money! I have been a loyal customer of Oracle Nails since 2012, when my college boyfriend treated me to my first ever pedicure. I immediately became addicted to the eucalypyus hot towel wrap and told everyone I knew that they needed to go there and get the spa pedicure - stat! I eventually won over my mom and my aunt, neither of whom had ever considered getting a pedicure because they're not especially crazy about the thought of having their feet touched. Understandable, but at the end of the day, the spa pedicure won them over. Pedicures and lunch became a Mothers Day tradition for me and my mom, and gift certificates to Oracle Nails were frequently gifted among the ladies in my family because we loved this place so darn much. So why the one star review? If you are unaware, Oracle Nails has a 1 year expiration on their gift certificates. This is very clearly printed on their gift certificates and I have no issue with this business practice under normal circumstances. You'll see why this is important in a minute. In 2015, my aunt was gifted a $50 gift certificate to Oracle Nails. Shortly thereafter she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo radiation and chemotherapy. In addition to doing all of the horrible things chemo and radiation do, it destroyed her nails. They literally fell off. There was no way she could use this certificate. Finally feeling better, and her nails having had time to recover, my aunt asked if Oracle Nails would honor the certificate. Despite explaining the circumstances, Oracle Nails would not honor the certificate. Instead, Ken told my aunt that she should have given the certificate to someone else since she couldn't use it. Oracle Nails was well within their right to not honor the certificate, but frankly, I'm so disappointed in the ownership for this decision. $50 is such a small amount compared to what my mother, aunts and I have spent here over the many years we have been customers. And, did I mention the woman has *cancer*?! We won't be back - amazing eucalyptus hot towel wraps or otherwise. read more

I will not recommend this place to anyone. I was getting a pedicure and the guy working on my feet was scrubbing so hard I thought I was going to bleed. He accidently bent back my pinky nail on my foot, after I told him to be careful with my pinkies. & to top it all off, he overcharged me. When they asked me what I would like for color eyes I picked a nice tan cat eye that would look great on both my hands and my toes. The lady who worked on my nails started to work on my legs. Apparently when I told over the phone that I wanted a nani-petti there was a bit of a communication gap and she thought I only wanted my toes done. I guess they would have to work a bit on their communication next time. I didn't get any designs on my nails but I guess that this is something I would have to request ahead of time. Now they did informed me that getting my nails done they tend to take a while to take their time and not rush it like other nail salons. Which is true from what I have noticed. Other places I have been to had got me in and out of the nail salon in under 20 minutes. With this one I went in at 11:30am and came back out around 2:15pm which would of been a while if I didn't set the day on my day off.
