It took about a month before I got a letter from my insurance company telling me what they would pay. I called the dental office and made a 20 percent down payment before setting up the appointment. On the day of the procedure, I showed up on time after preparing by following the printed instructions I had been given earlier. Someone called me a couple of days before my appointment to make sure I understood. Dental procedures can be scary and produce great anxiety, but this one did not. The staff and Dr.O were so calm and reassuring, my procedure was done before I realized it. Having IV sedation helped that along, of course! Dr. O called me the next day to see how I was and answer questions. So far, so good. If I follow the after care instructions, I'll be able to put this adventure behind me. Recommend!

Dr. Carter and his staff made me feel comfortable and walked me through each step of my care. I was in a good deal of pain when I first saw him. He was able to identify the issue and was able to fix the problem. In all my years of going to a dentist, I would dread the pain from the numbing injection. Dr. Carter has a wonderful method when he gives a shot. I barely feel anything! This past week, amidst the COVID 19 yuck, Dr. Carter and his staff took great care in doing extra cleaning and screening to protect their staff as well as their patients. It is rare that you find such a kind, caring and thorough dentist. Thank you Dr. Carter for all that you do and for helping me with my smile! They didn't do what they should have done, and wanted to jump straight into surgery. Way to much, when a simple cleaning fixed my issue. I'm actually glad they refused to do my cleaning, there's no telling what damage they would have caused. To sum it up, my second exam revealed my dental issue is no where near as bad as they made it out to be. They had me worried for nothing. There were a lot of red flags, and I'm glad I trusted my gut. Most insurance companies do not cover fluoride for adults. Why? Because it is in toothpaste, water, and almost everything that we drink like milk, pop and ever beer. I went to another dentist for 30 years and not once did they offer or recommend Fluoride. I had to find a new dentist due to the staffing issues at previous dentist office. Looks like I picked the wrong place. The hygienist will ask you if you want fluoride right after polishing your teeth (which has fluoride). If you say yes and insurance does not cover it, you will be handed a bill for $30 when you leave. They should look up our coverage and let you know that if not covered you will be charged $30 out of pocket. There are other Google reviews about this same topic. Doesn't look like that are willing to change their process to inform the patient of any charges and not surprise them with a bill.
