I hired Oran to perform a big remodeling project at my house that includes: - Full kitchen remodeling. - Demolition and remove all the exciting cabinets in the kitchen. - Counter tops that included the kitchen island as well. - Wood floors all around the dining and living areas and ceramic tiles all around the kitchen. - Brand new stainless steel appliances (Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Stove and range hood. - Upgraded electrical switches and outlets includes lighting fixtures in the kitchen. - Installed GFI outlets all around the house where needed. - Backsplash with custom design. - New tile floor in kitchen. - Relocate gas lines in the kitchen for the new placement of the stove. - Water line for the new refrigerator. - Built and installed custom cabinet with matching drawer's fronts. - Under mount sink in the kitchen and few sinks in the bathrooms. - Faucets for the Kitchen and bathrooms. - Installed handles for cabinets. - Paint the kitchen and dining area with special paint design and texture. - Paint the bedrooms, dining room walls and ceilings. I selected Oran form the other 4 companies that I spoke and met with because my meeting with Shay and his ideas about what I can do and the price that I was able to get from him the was better than the other ones. When I called Oran to schedule a meeting, the lady that I spoke with was very nice, helpful and she was able to provide me with a great help and resource about this type of a project. We met with Shay was very down to earth kind of people and really knew what they were talking about. It started when I only wanted to remodel my kitchen and to break some walls in order to get an open space feeling. Shay was able to provide me with few options that worked very well with my budget. In the second meeting that I had with them, Shay brought a 3D design of how it will look. The design was very helpful and I start talking about other things that I can do as well besides the kitchen. After I hired Shay and his crew, Shay scheduled a starting date for the remodeling project and they start the work on the day and time. The work was completed after 6 weeks, as he promised to me. During the entire work, I got a daily report from Michelle, the project manager. She updated me on a daily basis regarding the work process. On top of that, Shay helped me to get all the materials that the project needed and his crew was beyond top notch, highly skilled and professional, polite and most important, they left the house each day clean (as clean as construction site could be). I did a massive search find the best contractor that can start and finish my remodeling project that I want to do and I'm very happy that I hired Oran. Shay from Oran was the contractor that came over and review my vision of my remodeling project and what I wanted to do. Shay was always on time, extremely knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to and he had awesome ideas. More than that, Shay always listened to what I wanted to do and then he always came back with better plans that ultimately included everything I want and made some suggestions for several things that I didn't think about. Based on the current floor plans that I had, I hired Shay and Oran to do all the work at my house. I liked that I Shay assigned a project manager that was always there when I wanted to talk about my remodeling project and to help guide me through this process. Once I signed the contract with them, Shay came over with all the people that were working at my project to my house so we could go over the work in detail. It was fantastic to have their experience in order to help bring to life my vision and make sure they each knew what was expected of them. The project included the following: - rebuild the kitchen - build all the cabinets - Redesign the kitchen walls - Build a new wall - Replace the old floor with beautiful new hardwood floor - Installing new baseboards and Crown moldings - Repair & paint all the staircase - Paint the entire house including all the patching of all the cracks - Paint the ceilings. They absolutely did a great job. All the workers showed me how professional they are. I must mention that this was my first massive remodeling project, there were so many things that I even didn't think about or have any knowledge to what needed to be done. For instance the electrician suggested to move the light switch to a different location in the kitchen and it made a perfect sense once he explained to me what will be the benefits for that. Oran finished the project earlier than we planned originally which made me extremely happy! We agreed to a certain budget and Shay didn't go over that amount. After the work was completed, I noticed for few things that needed adjustment and Shay sent his guys right away and they took care of all of them. When we purchased our home, we were aware that it will need a great amount of repairs and improvements. The house came with peeling wallpaper, bad carpet and even some broken walls. We were prepared to spend more money to improve it as soon as we got it, but we become frustrated when we start to contact contractors in order hire one for that job. Then we find Shay and his company, we felt that his company is good enough and they will complete the job on the best side. Shay immediately set our stress aside when we met with his professional and his questions about what we want to do and his integrity was solid from the day we met him through the few months it took to complete renovation. While we had some specific things we wanted in our house, Shay and his team took the wish list and did all they could to include all of them in the estimate while still stay under budget. Their work was by far above our expectations and they truly realize the vision of what we wanted to get. The house was originally a 2 bedrooms, ~1800 square foot home, the remodeling brought an addition of a thousand square feet as well as an expand of the backyard; The new 1000 sq. /ft., included a: - Fireplace - Steam unit in the bath - A cozy home theater room - Laundry room - Backyard brought a new deck and patio with a trellis. Furthermore, because we went green and made it a smart home, we're already more energy efficient. In several rooms, as well as the main hallway, for instance, Shay installed sun tubes and the amount of natural light that bathes the house is great. Even our guests, when they come to visit, they always looking for a light switch. Shay took the project and keep it on course and he did so exceptionally. Had an excellent experience with Shay Ram and Oran Remodeling! We contracted them to do a full replacement of our master shower and kitchen. Our job was not an easy one, as our condo unit sits upon a hill that required going up 90 steps to reach. Both hauling out the old tiles/fixtures/cabinets/appliances and bringing in the new supplies and items was very complicated and many other contractors either refused or wanted to charge exorbitant fees before they would take up the job. Oran Remodeling, in contrast, was willing to work with us to accomplish the job at a fair price! Shay and Co. was able to coordinate all the aspects of the project, from the permit pulling, demolition, replacement of rotted/molded wood, plumbing, electricity, installation of shower pan, waterproofing, tile work, shower hardware installation, painting, kitchen plumbing and electricity, cabinet building, tile work, to all the finishing touches that left us with a ready to use new shower and kitchen that we enjoy to this day. When issues arose during the work, as it often does for projects of this sort, we were able to work with Shay to remedy them quickly and to our satisfaction, which we greatly appreciated. As an example, when the shower door handle was measured incorrectly from the shower door vendor, Shay was able to replace the door with one with the properly measured handle within a week or so, allowing us to keep the project schedule going despite the potential for delays. I want to also give an acknowledgment of our main worker on this job, Lupe, whose tireless work and craftsmanship was able to complete a beautiful job on both the shower and the kitchen. He was the one who hauled up and down the equipment and supplies up and down the 90 steps while still maintaining the energy and skill to complete the work. His contribution to the project cannot be overstated. In addition, the electrician, Patricia and her sister, did excellent work in dealing with the outdated electrical system of our condo, modernizing it and adding wiring in the places we needed it, despite the small crawlspace underneath. I contacted Oran remodeling and spoke to Shay about what I would like to do at my house and what is my style and goals. Shay came over to my house on the day and time that we scheduled over the phone and he inspect the 2 bathrooms and kitchen. For a while we had major mold problems in the bathrooms and we start to have our concerns about it which caused us to do this remodeling ASAP. For this remodeling project, we spoke to few other contractors and we received few bids as well, but we still decided to go with Oran remodeling even though there was not big of a difference in the price, I was impressed with the way Oran remodeling and mainly with Shay. What caused that was the great communication that we had with him and his way of thinking and ideas. A week after the meeting and after we saw in details the design and estimate that Shay did for us, we signed the initial contract and we gave our approval to complete remodel the bathrooms and kitchen with Shay and his team and we set a date to start the work. The problem with mold that we had in the bathrooms, Shay brought his people to do the demolishing first and after that, they moved forward and start the construction. We purchased a home and once we moved into the house, we realized that there are several issues and things that we needed to repair and replace. More than that, the house turned out to have numerous different issues and was practically no good for us. I'll say that Oran did a great job for a great price. We had several meetings with Shay from that company and during the first meeting that we had, he checked and saw what we want to do against what we can do. After he presented to us the design of the new Kitchen, we seat again and decided what we will do and how we will do it. Based on that, He was able to provide us with an estimate that included all the items that we agreed on and suprisely enough, most of the items that we wanted, were included in the remodeling. We scheduled the starting date of the work and Shay promised that it will be finish within 4 weeks of work. The new kitchen that we did was a modern kitchen with oak cabinets and light brown marble top. In addition to that, we included all the appliances and hardware such as: sink, faucet, handles, switches, lights etc...The work that they did was done to my satisfaction without any doubts and they passed my communication expectations for this project accordingly. In addition to that, we asked Shay to patch and paint some drywall spots and texture and after he explained to me that it won't be seamless or perfect because it will be part of it instead of the whole wall, he did it and to my opinion it came out very good and nice (I must mention that he didn't charge us for that!!!). Based on my knowledge, what he basically needed to do is to strip away all the existing things and to redo the paint. The results of that work is great and perfect. After interviewing 3 different landscape design companies, we chose Oran Build to do a complete makeover of our entire front and backyard. We are extremely thrilled with the results and our space has been transformed. The designer that working with Shay, Juan and his entire crew did an amazing job. The project was a little bit extensive because it included the removal of few trees, plants, grass and some rocks in the front and back, concrete and wood deck removal, We needed to pour a new concrete patio, running a new line of gas for a fire pit and BBQ, a custom concrete counter and built-in bench, a natural sandbox built with boulders and logs, and installation of all plants. It took almost 3 months to completely finish this back yard and front yard project, but now our yard is an amazing spot at the house that we enjoy with our friends, family, and children. I have read some comments about so many additional fees that usually been added to any estimate such as design consultation fee, but we felt it was worth the cost even though Shay didn't charge us much for it anyway. We didn't see it as a fee just to get an estimate. It was an actual design session where the designer gave us so many useful tips, ideas and designs advice mainly for our back yard space. We could have taken those tips and implemented them ourselves, but we liked those ideas so much that it was one of the main reasons why we hired them to create our landscape design and implement it. read more

Before we decided to do this major remodeling, we were very nervous because we wanted to be sure that we are hiring the right company for that job. We are first time home owners and the house that we purchased, needed to have a major renovation. In total, we met and interviewed 6 companies that we got the impression that they are good and can do that job. Oran construction was one of the companies that we met and talked to and they weren't the cheapest or most expensive, but Shay (the manager from Oran) they came to meet with us, came well prepared and most importantly seemed to be very excited when he talked to us about our project. Shay and the crew of workers hit every important mark: - They were reasonable with their quote. - They were timely from start to finish and they came to work at the house each day for a full day of work. - They were accountable for any mistakes (every project have some mistakes and its completely normal). - He was always easy to reach by either phone call, text or email. Shay made several visits to the house and went over the progress of the remodeling with us and very often he brought samples to make important design decisions. The remodeling that we did included pretty much the whole first floor, including the bathroom, Kitchen, living room and dining room on top of the removal of a bearing wall. Always tough to find a good contractor so it's nice to share good experiences. Shay and Oran Remodeling were a great pick for us. We did a full 900 Sq. ft. custom ADU build from the ground up starting September 2023 through June 2024. Overall we were pleased with the process, speed, price, and quality of the project. Shay himself was a very honest, fair and trustworthy partner in the project. He could always be reached for questions and was reasonable with additional requests or small changes as the build came together. One thing that is super important is budget tracking, and he laid everything out in advance and there were no big surprises in the cost of the project. Shay and his team worked as quickly as they could and the only delays we encountered were booking city inspections, the power company, and dealing with the extreme rainfall over the winter. For the most part everyone that came onto the site was professional and respectful, and in a couple of minor cases Shay was quick to resolve issues. We are really pleased with the final product and have been enjoying it since completion. Everyone has different experiences with contractors, but we were happy with our choice and would choose Shay again if we were going to do any other significant renovations. read more

so basically, my morning started with a big leak at the bathroom. I had to find someone to come over and fix it! i called several companies and unfurtunately, no one could come over.... meanwhile, i called some of my friends too in order to check and see if they know someone that can do it. one of my friends gave me the number of shay. i called him and asked him if he can send someone to come and fix the problem. shay was very nice to me and he was able to send one of his guys over and to see what is the problem. his guy came and say that there was a broken pipe inside the wall and he will need to break the wall in order to fix it. this was a big deal for me but i had no choice.... the work that he did came out good but a little bit pricey because all the work that he needed to do which took 3 days..... from a small leak it came out to a big work - but i guess this is life.... read more

We really love the new bathroom that was remodeled by Shay and his workers. We worked with Shay from start to finish and by doing that, we had no hassle or many people to talk to about anything related to the project at our house. The old bathroom was too old and we wanted to have a new look by replacing and installing everything including the new shower and floor. I own a house in Los Angeles and I have been renting it out for many years. The renters eventually moved out and I wanted to increase the value of my home.
