Taking away a star for consistently atrocious service. The staff here might as well not exist and that's putting it nicely. We've given them four or five chances because it's an easy place to go. Don't have to worry about parking, seating, who's dressed to go out and who's not, whatever. It's just a convenient place to meet for a couple of cheap drinks and decent bar food. Anyway, like I was saying, their service/staff is horrific. It's slow/borderline non existent unless you're a guy for them to flirt with for tips - hey I get it, you gotta pay the bills. I'm not hating, but seriously? On more than one occasion we've asked for buffalo sauce and gotten tabasco sauce or nothing at all. Not a huge deal, but after it happened twice I'm always sure to clarify which sauce we're asking for. We've asked for lemon wedges (and specified that it was for food, not drinks) and been given two half dried up slices of lemon that's meant for a cocktail. One of which she dropped on the floor as she was handing the plate to me and just left it there. Overall, any time we ask for something it's wrong or just plain doesn't happen. It's unbearable, frustrating, and we will definitely not be returning unless they restaff the place. read more

Great place to go on the Post....they have a really nice selection of beer, a whole room with pool tables. It would probably be nice for a bigger group too since they have lots of seating and it's a big bar. Music is a bit too loud though. A good, no frills bar.... read more

This place has it all, pool tables, nice crowds, good music, and cold beer. I went here for a going away and was turned on to shock top with a shot of orange favored vodka in it. Needless to sayi woke up the next morning with a headache and bruises on my knees and legs, so I must have fallen sometime during my adventure. So all in all great time. Bartender was really nice but the bouncer had a horrible attitude the entire time , just staring us down and tripped my friend as they told us it was time to leave. He wanted us to leave saying that the place was closed but there were still patrons inside the bar playing pool and they weren't told to leave as there was still 8 minutes before closing. If I could give zero stars I would....everything is different and our waitress just plain sucked. She took forever to take our drink order and then our food order. The last straw was when I ordered a happy hour drink and didn't get the happy hour price because bar time was set over 15mins real time. Rude bartenders and I'm not allowed to wear my cute little knit hat at the bar bc the owner established a "dress code" that even the staff thinks is absurd??? Usually i have an amazing time at orange ale house however this time was different. At the end of the night one of our friends carried there beer bottle outside, where some of us were smoking and socializing. This is where the problem began. A bartender came outside Blonde Taller Girl. It was NOT the shorter one, named Kathy, shes always the best. She looked at my friend and said " How about you bring the beer bottle back in here, and you still have a tab open so close it" We repsonded that we had just closed our tab and she might have been confused however my friend went inside regardless with the bottle and to see what happened with this tab. Her next snotty response was "yeah well i have your card so no you did not pay your tab" When we walked back into the bar she was not only talking badly about my entire group of friends she then realized she was wrong and our tab had been closed out. Without even an appoligy she through the debit card across the bar to my friend and said "here". Not only was she rude, unpleasent, and wrongly accused a customer there wasn't even an apology after. Was here from out of town and we had a blast (was with a great group)... only had drinks and played pool, saw people eating wings that looked good. They had a band playing which played great danceable songs... we were going to a wedding the next night and said we wished the band was playing there! Bar service was good for as busy as they were, no waiting around. Staff was great, door guy was super nice. read more

Sh**** service. Girls don't know how to prioritize customers. Waitstaff offers a drink, but doesn't offer a menu at dinner time and ignores you to chat amongst themselves. Then you have to flag them down to wait forever for nachos. When you go to pay, they'll cancel your transaction in order to handle another order. When you ask for water, they'll pick a dirty cup off the bar, fill it, and hand it to you- even after you tell them it's not your glass. Also, you're serving food- put your hair up. Pretty standard sports bar. Lots of locals in attendance. Plenty of specials on drinks and food...even unlimited wings depending on the night. Complimentary pizza during Happy Hour. Average bar grub. Wings and burgers are good for sure. Lots of room to play pool and darts. They also have live bands, trivia, karaoke, etc. on various nights. Staff and patrons are friendly. I've been here twice for to watch sporting events and have a few drinks. They play all major games. Nice atmosphere and both times I've went the staff was very friendly and attentive. I just recently went there a few nights ago to watch the all star game and had a great experience. A couple of my friends met me there and they also had a good time. The food is pretty good. I ordered the mozzarella sticks which were perfect. They also have really good fries and wings. The bartenders also cut a guy off who had clearly had too much. I liked that they cared and kept checking to make sure he was okay and offered to call him an Uber. They were genuinely considered with his safety as well as ours. So my bf and I went in on Friday around 6 pm. There was some sort of happy hour buffet our server didn't bother to mention but we could see. As she brought our menus she asked us what we wanted to drink. My bf asked what local beers they had on tap she said she didn't know. She then said they have a lot of ipas and summer ales. That's great and all but it's not like all ipas and summer ales are made locally. I noticed she worked behind the bar as well as taking care of our table. Now I think anyone working at an alehouse whether strictly server or bartender should be knowledgeable in beer. Better training is most certainly needed. We ordered.i got a side of fries and 6 buffalo hot wings.my boyfriend got buffalo chicken grilled cheese. She brought his grilled cheese out then said the rest of the order would be ready in a few minutes. Where in the world is it okay to bring 1 person's food out when the other person's isn't even ready yet? 4 minutes later she brought mine out. My water was empty she didn't bother to refill it until much later in the meal. She never asked if I wanted ranch or blue cheese she brought blue cheese I can't eat it. Their famous wings were boring. They weren't that hot, they were small, and not prepared well. The tots were bland, but at least they were crispy. My bf said his grilled cheese tasted as he expected it to. I will not go back there again. read more

2 stars only because the food is great as well as the atmosphere/people. The local events for fundraising and charity events are great too. You can tell that management has put effort into the bar as far as the TV's, billiards, food, and overall environment. However, the service is what brings the rating down so much. My friends and I go there every once in a while. Each time we leave, we tell each other we will never go there again. There have been times where we sat down at a table and 45 minutes have gone by before we have been approached for beers and food. That time when we waited 45 minutes for service, my friend finally had enough and went to the bartender and let her know we needed service. It felt as though we were an inconvenience to them. Another time, a bartender called me out on the tip that I left her. I explained to her that the service was so bad that she was lucky to receive a tip at all! Customers definitely do not feel wanted there. Overall, it is the food and atmosphere that brings me back. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt that the service will get better but have not seen it yet. I feel as though a competent businessman would review the ratings of his own business and attempt to fix the problems that are being mentioned. Numerous reviews stating the customer service is bad makes it clear that the problem is not being addressed. Orange Ale House has the potential of being an exceptional establishment but it appears as though they will settle for mediocrity. read more

What a great meal we had. The lobster grilled cheese was awesome as was the chicken Ceaser wrap. The Shock Top draft was perfect and it was a great mix of people at the bar. Woulda been less if i could! Our first impression was not good at all! We go on a Saturday afternoon. Walk in and the bartender looks at us but doesn't say or even smile at us. We stand there a few minutes, we wanted a table, She could have said "hi guys, take a seat where you want" etc. NOTHING. So we do that anyway, walk over to the 1st table, filthy, turn go to another table, sit, then see a booger rag in the salt/pepper tray thing, still no one says a thing to us. the bartender walks over to the front of the bar to adjust the TV and goes back behind it. SO we say this place is filthy and they don't really want us or our money there at all, so lets go. Thats just what we did! walked out. The place had 2 people at one table and 2 people at the bar, So the filth on the tables is just ridiculous... and if the front is dirty, we wonder what the kitchen looks like! Our favorite band played here. They played awesome and were paid $#i+! The food is over price and not very good. $13 for deluxe nachos....deluxe because a scoop of canned chili is plopped over the top vs the regular with rubbery cheese on top. This deluxe slop mess took over 30 minutes to arrive on my table along with my $6 draft beer. Felt ignored by the staff who walk the other direction when you try to flag them down. Never got the 2nd beer I ordered. Probably could have walked out without paying, because they neglect their customers. And the guy in charge was kind of an a-hole. This place is a HOT MESS! No intentions of going back, too many good places to waste my time here. Only went for the band. They should have been thankful for the band, because it was the only reason why they had a decent crowd. Don't bother, not impressed! read more

Attended a function there recently. Bartender, Tracy, was more worried about her tips than servicing her customers. Charged us for water with lemon & almost didn't serve us again because she was unhappy with the amount of her tip from our last order of drinks.
