I've had two great experiences with OC Billiards since my last review- they replaced the felt and rails on my pool table a couple months ago, and this past weekend I got two cue tips replaced. Scheduling the appointment for the felt and rails was really easy, the guy showed up on time, he was really friendly, and did a great job! It feels and looks like a new table! Two months later, after playing on it every single day for at least an hour, it still looks and plays amazing. Getting my cues re-tipped was an easy process as well. We got there as soon as they opened, and were happy to see that they've expanded! We had a nice time walking around, checking out all the pool tables they have, cues, accessories, etc. while Robert took care of our cues. One thing that's awesome about Robert is he really goes out of his way to help you make an educated decision. He tells you your options and the pros/cons of each, and might make some suggestions, but with zero pressure and sometimes his suggestions actually save money. It's easy to see it's not just about the money for him- it's about helping people who are passionate about pool get the tools they need to play their best game. Maybe we were just lucky that we were the only ones in the store but we spent a bit of time talking about pool tables they had for sale, ways to get the best bang for your buck based on what you're looking for, etc. We definitely plan to go to Robert when we're ready to buy a new table- I fully trust that he will help us make a good decision, to get exactly what we're looking for at a good value. Plus, when you buy a pool table from OC Billards, you get all sorts of awesome perks such as a lifetime of free ball polishing, tip replacement, and other perks that I don't remember off the top of my head. For one cue, we knew exactly what we wanted- a Kamui medium. Easy peasy. For the other, I wanted a break tip put on a cue that's not typically a break cue. Again, no problem! I had told Robert about how my original tip had broken off after the cue was dropped. He recommended that I have the ferrule replaced as well and explained why, though he said just replacing the tip was also an option of course. I did get both the ferrule and tip replaced- it looks really cool actually because I was able to choose between a black or white tip and I got the black one (looks awesome with my red cue!) I had planned on getting a phenolic tip, and Robert explained the pros/cons of phenolic vs. leather. I did go with the phenolic, and Robert put grooves in the tip so that it would hold chalk better and be less likely to miscue. It's only been a few days but my husband and I are both loving the new tips! They really do make a difference! read more

We were looking for a nice quality pool table & had researched on-line. I really like Robert at OC Billiards. He is very professional, knowledgeable but more importantly, he asked/listened to what was our budget, style of table we wanted, and how often we use the table. This was not our first pool table and so we were not new to this. He had a good selection to choose from - it was nice to see the tables in person to get a sense for the quality/color/size. We were able to choose the color of felt and our table is contemporary - very cool and will look great in our house. Our table comes with all the accessories and will have it delivered and assembled in the next week. Fixed my cue and got a great cue from there. I was able to pocket a few balls to get a good feel for my new cue.

OC Billiards replaced the bumpers and cloth on our pool table for a cost of $550. The worker spent 3.5 hours, working at maximum speed and efficiency. My husband was there the whole time, and he was very impressed. Quality of the new cloth is excellent, as is the workmanship. There was some confusion when we paid. My husband thought it would be $350, but after I looked at their website, I believe this was my husband's error. Nevertheless, you might want to get a quote ahead of time so there are no surprises. We will definitely call of them again if we need anything. read more

I had a terrific experience with cue repair. I had two tips replaced and a shaft reconditioned. The shaft was in pretty rough shape, but the repair person got it back good as new. They only have one "cue repair guy", so I recommend calling in advance. read more

Came in with a shaft to be repaired. Robert was honest. Told us thebdifferences between a cleaning and a shaft renew.. shaft feels brand new!! Also asked him about thetip, another sales guy would've just told us it was bad and told get a new tip but Robert was honest and told us the tip was still good. Hard to come by an honest guy like him who wasn't in it for the money.. you can tell he knows what he's doing. He does have a passion for it... You can tell by his trophies... I had Robert Wong recover my pool table along with new pockets on an older table, his staff were outstanding at their craft they spent as long as it took to get the table perfect, very courteous and answered all questions I had, never rushing me to get finished and get off the job. I ordered tournament felt for a better roll and longevity, when his crew pick up the felt to install, they were out of that particular felt and Robert gave us the upgrade from that at no extra charge. I also bought a new tip for my Que, he explained the differences in tips, which I did not know about and that made a very noticeable difference, I also bought a new Que, Robert showed me what he recommended for my level of play which is outstanding. Even though I was buying my girlfriend a custom cue, we aren't pro's by any means, so we had a lot of questions & Steven was very helpful, knowledgeable, & attentive. Karissa can also be pretty picky when it comes to most things, but OC Billiards has a really nice selection of cues & she picked one out right away, has played with it, & loves it. THANK YOU! Great service. WHILE YOU WAIT! Robert picked up the phone when I called and confirmed yes, that he was in and could work on my cue while I wait. When I arrived Robert took a look at my 25-30 year old Mc Dermott. He immediately said, "oh wow a "D model" Haven't seen one like this in a while"... seriously I have a 30 year old cue and he is calling the series off the top of his head. Great sign of his 25 years of experience. Robert and I spoke about my 30 YEARS of shaft dings, "all of which he felt he could remove" the old worn nylon, and most importantly, tip brands. Robert listened to the style of my play, and started asking what I wanted in a soft to medium tip, and then reviewed tip construction between brands. Yes all this information and knowledge explained to me by Robert in a few short minutes. When I decide to do Roberts Shaft Special, New Tip and New Linen, Robert got right to work. My next trouble was, if I should keep the same color linen or what Robert recommended was change it up to black with red to match with the cue inlay. I never thought of matching the linen to the inlay in the cue but now I think Robert was dead on with the recommendation to change the linen to red. Well, my cue is like new. No dents, incredibly smooth, linen is tight and fresh. I can't wait to feel the tip when I play this weekend! Very good job! read more

And it's the only place I know of that does cue repair and tip replacement while you wait. Robert and Steven's extensive knowledge of all the products never ceases to amaze me. I just bought a billiards table from an estate sale and I had no idea how to get it to my house. I was referred to OC billiards from a friend who used them before. Time was of the essence because they needed to fumigate the property where the table was at. I called Monday.
