What a delight to find Robert Wong on hand as I rushed in after work looking for a hard to find joint protector for my break cue. The cue I won in a match and then subsequently used to put myself through college with had been sitting in various garages and self-storage places for three decades. Other than the inlaid mother of pearl which was still in perfect condition, every part on the stick had deteriorated noticeably. Brass collar was badly discolored, resin collar at back of the shaft was loose, shaft was dirty, and the ferrule and tip were essentially falling off. Robert apparently does a lot of work while you wait but I asked him to keep this one for a few days and see if he could bring it back to showroom condition. He did exactly that. Stunning. I was simply going to store this sentimental piece under better conditions but I am so excited with the way it looks i think I will start playing again. My only suggestion to him was that he raise his rates. This kind of old-school work is not seen very often these days. read more

This was my first time getting any work done to my cues. I needed a tip put on one que and the shaft of my favorite que was damaged badly from the garage door closing on it. Robert was very informative and he help me pick the right tip for my que. I showed Robert my damage que not thinking much could be done to fix it. To my surprise he told me this was a common problem and he could fix it. Not only did Robert fix both my cues in 30 minutes but my damage shaft looks and feels like brand-new. got a mediocre pool table recovered by orange country billiards. their service tech was very good. he repaired some things that the original installer DIDNT do, at no charge. I had simonis 860 tournament blue installed, and it came out fantastic. the table plays like a new table, clean, sleek, fast. the installer (forgot his name) did a really great job. robert and Orange County billiards will get all of my future business! read more

I had a new tip put on my cue by Robert today and it was a very pleasant experience. There was a variety of tips to choose from and it was cool to watch him do the repair. 1st time on YELP, but I had to share with everyone who reads these posts what a great establishment Robert has built. I would like to start out by saying that I did my homework before I decided to recondition my table. I went to a few other places (which I will also review :/) and was gouged to a point I had to walk out of one store. I expected the same from OC billiards until Robert walked me through the entire process step by step. From what I needed to what I wanted, Robert was able to provide for me and explain every part of the process in detail. I never felt as though he was trying to sale me something I did not need. I think he even conceded to me and my penny pinching ways. Anyway, I was a little nervous about the installers because I am also a self proclaimed perfectionist. The installers were more professional than I could ever imagine. They straight up worked their A$$ off. Both were extremely competent in their skills and most likely show better work than most carpenters. I cant say enough about Robert & his crew at OC Billiards!!!
