The surgeon was a triple board-certified plastic surgeon I had known for over 30 years. I trusted him and believed I was in excellent hands. The result was terrible. My breathing worsened and my nose looked unnatural. I lived with that outcome for over two years, trying to rationalize it, but I couldn't. This was my face. It affects how I breathe, how I sleep, and how I feel every day. So I did serious research. What I learned changed everything. Rhinoplasty is not just cosmetic. The nose must function. We are meant to breathe through our noses. When the structure is weakened or obstructed, airflow is compromised. Air must move freely when you inhale and exhale. The internal support has to remain stable so the airway does not collapse. Without that support, you mouth breathe, wake up tired, and constantly feel like you're not getting enough air. I experienced all of it. My research led me to Dr. Aaron Kosins in Newport Beach. Because mine was a revision case -- after my nasal bones had been broken in the first surgery -- preservation rhinoplasty was no longer available to me. I had missed the boat. Preservation rhinoplasty reshapes and repositions the natural structures of the nose instead of aggressively "hammering down" the bridge and rebuilding it from scratch. Dr. Kosins is one of the pioneers in using ultrasonic piezo instrumentation to precisely sculpt nasal bone rather than manually breaking it. This allows refinement of what a patient is born with while improving both appearance and function. Due to the prior damage, significant reconstruction was required, including cartilage taken from my own rib to rebuild and properly support my nose. If I could give one piece of advice: only do a piezo surgery! Dr. Kosins is widely regarded by his peers as a world expert in rhinoplasty, including preservation techniques and complex structural revision cases. Many established surgeons seek out his workshops and cadaver labs to refine advanced techniques. He has the rare ability to communicate directly, thoughtfully, and sincerely. From the first meeting, I knew I was finally in the right hands. And then came the result. It was a knockout. My breathing is excellent. Air moves freely through both sides of my nose when I inhale and exhale. There is no resistance, no collapse, no struggle to get enough air in or out. For the first time in years, breathing feels effortless. Cosmetically, my nose looks natural and balanced -- not artificial or overdone. I also want to acknowledge his team. Risa, the practice manager, was accessible and organized throughout the process. Judy was BEYOND amazing!!! After surgery she called and texted us multiple times a day, every single day, making sure I was doing well. We also had direct access to Dr. Kosins whenever we needed him. I never felt alone or uncertain. Choosing Dr. Aaron Kosins and his team made a major difference in my life, and I am extremely grateful.

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the outcome of my breast augmentation and with the level of follow-up support afterward. I had surgery on May 5, 2025. Around 4-5 months post-op, I began noticing significant asymmetry developing. By the time I returned for my follow-up appointment in September, the issue had already become very noticeable. At this point, I developed capsular contracture on my left side, causing the breast to feel hard, tight, and unnatural. On the right side, the implant dropped significantly lower than the left, creating visible asymmetry and uneven nipple positioning. I also experienced poor scar healing around my right areola, with the scar remaining thick, raised, and persistently itchy nearly a year later. To be fair, Dr. Kosins did acknowledge the asymmetry during my September appointment, discussed revision options with me, and his office provided information regarding the Allergan warranty coverage. I understand capsular contracture is a known risk of breast augmentation surgery and not necessarily the result of negligence. However, what left me disappointed was the lack of continued follow-up and support afterward. After the initial discussion regarding revision options and warranty information, there was no further outreach, follow-up phone call, scheduling assistance for next steps, or even scheduling of my one-year post-op appointment/check-in. As a patient navigating an upsetting complication less than a year after surgery, that absence of communication left me feeling unsupported and alone in the process. I never expected perfection, and I understand complications can happen with any surgery. But when complications do occur, communication, reassurance, and aftercare matter just as much as the surgery itself. Patients deserve to know not only how successful outcomes are handled, but also how they are supported when results do not go as planned.

He even handled my court case and made $15,000 off of that which we lost the case and we are in debt from all of my nose surgeries. I had emailed him about an estimate for my nose, it was around $30,000. I had my consultation once again after the waited time period, we talked about fixing the holes (dents in my nose from missing cartilage), and fixing the irregularities. I booked the non refundable deposit of $1,000 after meeting with him and scheduled the surgery thinking the quote would similar to what he quoted me on email. The receptionist (I can't say names on yelp), sent me a quote of $187,050. I was floored. I lost the deposit money and we can't afford almost $200,000 for a nose job. I am filled with so many questions of why? Where did we get so lost? My emails are ignored now. I lost the money to the lawyer to the last surgeon who botched me, we're in debt from 4 surgeries that botched me, and I put all my eggs in one basket as to the hope for him to fix me for good. We can't even get a loan for $200,000. I'm really down and absolutely shocked that he said he would help me, but surprised me with a price tag that's insurmountable for what we can afford. It's saddening. My hope is gone for surgeons. They're greedy and money hungry. I hope this review gets him to read what emotional toll this has taken on me, and to think before you charge a patient $200,000 to fix irregularities on their nose. I'm no millionaire or billionaire, I'm a mom raising a toddler who has had a really hard time looking in the mirror. I wish he would have kept his word. Only God will judge us at the end as to how we treated those in need of help but couldn't afford a quarter million dollars to get it.

"As a young single parent with a baby boy, I sustained a "Traumatic Car Accident" on the freeway, whereas I lost control of my vehicle, rolled approximately 11 times and onto another freeway. The vehicle landed "Upside Down" and onto my face. With the "Grace of God," I was not struck by oncoming vehicles and was transported to "Emergency" by a "Private Ambulance." The right portion of my face was completely "Dismantled." It was pushed in 3" while the surgeons recommended to "Replace" my right eye with a glass eye, otherwise it will lead to a "Disease." I refused the "Replace of the eye." I was left with the right side of my face "Pushed in and completely Unsymmetrical." Upon recovery, I looked and appeared like the "Elephant Woman" or as though I was a member of the performing "Circus Crew." Everywhere I went and everyone who looked at me either; Cried, Vomited, Laughed, and/or Mocked me. Many suggested that I "Cover" my face with a vail in order to "Live" an "Ordinary" life. I suffered for 15 years. I sought Plastic Surgeons in many various states, whom all expressed a tremendous amount of "Empathy & Sympathy" for me, while being completely "Honest." They revealed to me that while they were, "Plastic Surgeons," they could not assist me as they did not have the "Specific Expertise" in the "Trauma/Reconstructive" area. That, their practice placed an emphasis on "Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery, alone." With the "Grace of God," I was led to Dr. Bunkis. Dr. Bunkis not only possessed the expertise in "Plastic/Cosmetic" surgery, however placed an emphasis on "Reconstructive" surgery. Dr. Bunkis performed the surgery with "Success." I have received nothing but "Compliments" regarding how "Beautiful and/or Gorgeous" my face appears. I became ready for a "Dating" relationship and had placed myself on various "Dating Sites." I received many "Extraordinarily Beautiful" comments and tremendous prospects. However, many also refused while they thought I had simply placed a "Potential Fake" photo... "What would this Gorgeous/Beautiful Model Want With Me?" are examples of some responses... The "Success" of this surgery has led to a different set of problems. i.e., "Wives do not want their husbands to speak to me, Girlfriends also. I do not have many "Female" friends absent any "Backbiting" and being "Envious" of my face. No one has any idea of the "Traumatic" experience that I have endured. Nonetheless, these different set of circumstances are clearly indicative of the "Successful" surgery, clearly "Warranted" upon such a "Traumatic" event. My heart tremendously breaks and goes out to the "Men & Women Who Serve Our Country" and for those whom have suffered a "Traumatic" experience, while I have experienced the same or similar event. My heart goes out to those whom seek an "Angel of a Doctor" to assist them in the "Reconstructive" surgery that they seek and to "Repair Their Life..." I "Pray" that "God" leads them to Dr. Bunks in some way, shape or form. Thank you, Dr. Bunkis for your "Extraordinary Skills" and a "Successful" surgery. Thank you for possessing the expertise that no other surgeon had. Most of all, "Thank you, for Colette McPhee, Manager whom has revealed so much "Compassion and Care, while No One Else Would." I had "No One." As a "Woman," Colette McPhee pulled me through the "Toughest" times of my life. She took it "Personal." I was by far treated as an "Ordinary" patient similar to other offices that I have visited. I was Colette's #1 "Concern." If I could give Dr. Bunkis and his staff more stars, I would! He is an AMAZING plastic surgeon, extremely skilled in his craft, knowledgeable, honest, humble, caring and incredibly professional. I've been wanting to get the bulbous tip of my nose reduced for many years so once I became an empty nester I decided it was time. After going to see 5 Newport Beach plastic surgeons for consultations, all professing to be the best in rhinoplasty and most of which I paid $125 - $150 per consultation, I decided on Dr. Bunkis, who by the way did not charge for his initial consultation. Each of the other 4 surgeons said that I would absolutely need an "open rhinoplasty" and several even told me that I would also need cartilage grafts taken from my ear or rib to help reshape the tip! Yikes! That concerned me and truly felt like overkill for what I was looking to accomplish. In addition to this their cost quote for the procedure seemed quite excessive for a tip refinement. When Dr. Bunkis assured me that he could do a closed rhinoplasty to address my needs with no visible scars, I was elated. The day of my surgery was Nov 1, 2023 and the surgical staff and anesthesiologist were very good and caring, getting me prepped, as was Dr. Bunkis. After the surgery I went home with no pain or discomfort. Dr. Bunkis called to check in on me that evening and to remind me to ice as often as I could and sleep propped up, which I did. I had VERY LITTLE swelling and NO bruising which was astonishing to me as I bruise very easily. My husband could not believe it either. I did not have any pain so I didn't need to take any medication. The only part for me that was a negative was having the feeling of a stuffy nose, which is very normal. I am now 4 weeks post op and my nose is looking better and better every day. I am VERY pleased with the outcome. I still look like me, only my nose tip is smaller and more refined. No one has noticed or commented on my nose, which is a good thing!!! I am so happy that I chose Dr. Bunkis for this procedure and am forever grateful for his talent. Thank you! read more

I never thought I would be someone to have plastic surgery. But at 43 years old and having recently lost 75 pounds I found myself disappointed with my physical appearance. I was referred to Dr. Bunkis by a customer of mine. He had only wonderful things to say about Dr. Bunkis and the difference he made for his wife after her weight loss. I was talking with my customer one day and he asked if I had meet with Dr. Bunkis yet and I said no, I was not ready to yet and did not want to waste his time. He told me it did not matter whether or not I was going to have the procedures done, that I should just meet and talk to him. He was right! I made a consultation appointment in Jan 2014. After meeting with Dr. Bunkis and his staff, I did not even have any other consultations with other plastic surgeons. (And I am the type to always get more than one opinion) After meeting with him only two times I knew he was the right surgeon for me. He really listened to my desired outcome wishes and was very upfront with me about expectations and results. I did not feel that I was being "sold". He gave me information to take home after my first appointment to read about the procedures and the risks involved. I read the information very thoroughly and even wrote down my questions in the margins. I made another appointment and he was very patient with me and went over all my questions and answered them honestly. I decided that day that I was going to move forward with Dr. Bunkis and I had a breast lift with augmentation and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) on February 28, 2014. Several years ago I had my deviated septum repaired, it was the worse experience and the recovery was so painful. You would think it would be easier and quicker for the fact I was much younger, not true. Unfortunately, a few years later I had a little incident with a softball to the nose. Having my septum repaired again was not an option, no way would I go through that pain again. Time passed, I was getting a lot of sinus headaches. I had a consultation with Dr. Bunkis and felt so at ease with him that I scheduled my surgery less than two weeks after my consultation. I felt incredibly comfortable having him as my surgeon, he answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly, and was there every step of the way. The down time was a piece of cake! Dr. Juris Bunkis is an incredibly talented facial plastic surgeon. The photo I've attached was taken one day before my 43rd birthday in late June of this year. I had a SMAS facelift, brow lift (through upper eyelids). He's also done a slight revision on the tip of my nose. He's one of the only board certified plastic surgeons who performs a closed rhinoplasty. I had surgery in January 2018. I'm 43 and let me tell you I trust Dr. Bunkis with my life (and face). He also uses drains which improve recovery time and worth a little mild discomfort for an awesome result. My experience with Dr. Bunkis and his entire staff has been great. When I first started thinking about a facelift, Dr. Bunkis himself answered my E-mails as well as his staff. He accomodated my scedule (seeing me well after business hours) and never ever tried to get me to do more than was needed. He answered any and all of my questions thoroughly and with patience. I decided to add liposuction and a tummy tuck to my list of "fixes" and, once again, both Dr. Bunkis and his staff were extremely patient with all my phone calls and questions. I have been seeing Dr. Bunkis for about 6 years - had 3 procedures - and he is the ONLY doctor that listens to what I want and then gives me his honest medical opinion. I started with the face and worked my way down to breasts - arms - lipo & BBL. Ive gone to see Dr Bunkis for botox and dysport in the past and have been incredibly happy with the results. I recently got vascular laser on my face and was thrilled. my face looks brighter and not tired anymore. Ive wanted to do this for a long time because I was always so self conscious by the appearance of small veins on my face and would always have to cover it with concealer. I recently had IPL on my face, neck and chest. Dr. Bunkis and his entire office are so kind and accommodating. I felt comfortable and at home the moment I walked into the office. Dr. Bunkis is the worst plastic surgeon in Orange County. He ruined my face and with his experience I should not have had a severe "Alar Retraction" after rhinoplasty and that occurred by cutting out too much cartilage (over 4mm) from my nose in 2012. This doctor has a prejudice toward certain women and I believe he purposefully disfigured my face. I don't usually use yelp but the public needs to be aware of who Dr. Bunkis is. read more

I decided to get an IPL to remove some brown spots on my cheeks that generally appear after the summer. The doctor performed the second IPL in a rush and in my opinion burned my face. He ended up leaving horrible marks on my face that I needed to get treated at another location. However, he did do a turbinate reduction and a week after surgery I was hospitalized for complication with my antibiotics and CT scans showed that I still had an enlarged concha bullosa and a deviated septum. It has grown more severe over the years so I am not sure if the nasal tip was insufficiently supported or if the surgery wasn't aggressive enough for my case? My breathing is pretty much back to square one where I have a large obstruction on one side and a deviated septum with valve collapse on the same side. Then again, I knew the risks going in and consented to this possibility. Overall, I would say he is definitely more of a cosmetic surgeon than an ENT bc ENTs do CT scans prior to operating and focus on function over aesthetics

I was recommended by a previous physician to see Doctor Park, he was very nice until he received my money. After Doctor Park received my payment he became a complete jerk! I was getting my blood work done for my surgery and my physician said I needed to bring up my iron levels up which Doctor Park did not agree with. Doctor Park is not for patient care at all! Doctor Park was upset that I reschedule my surgery from Jan to Feb and I honestly feel that he does not have a good patient bedside for anyone! Doctor Park has made this whole experience horrible. The comments he makes and the way he treats his patients he should not be practicing. After I had my surgery I have been depressed with the words and excuses he is telling me why he messed up. He told me my left side was messed up due to my scoliosis. I went out and immediately saw an orthopedist who had x-rays done and ruled out I did not have scoliosis. Now I have to go through another surgery for a revision of my left side. Very angry and upset. One of his responses he actually said to me was "your hooha looks great" to make matters worse. Follow up appointments to go see him he makes comments that makes me feel so bad to the point I dread seeing him.

I immediately felt comfortable with him and his staff right off the bat. Everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. Dr. Kelishadi took the time to thoroughly evaluate my anatomy and recommended the Preservé technique with Motiva implants. He explained that I had natural asymmetry and suggested two different implant profiles (demi and full) with a 65cc difference to create better balance. I truly appreciated his honest, thoughtful approach and I am so glad I trusted his expertise because I am very happy with my results. One of my biggest hesitations about breast augmentation was fear of going under general anesthesia. The Preservé technique itself is incredible because it uses IV sedation and local anesthesia instead, and the downtime was only a few days. Also, the AviClear treatment here was ten times more affordable than any other place I consulted with and with almost no side effects compared to oral acne medication like Accutane. I've been struggling with acne since I was a teenager and finally found a solution! Nima was fantastic the entirety of the treatment regime and helped keep me comfortable the entire time. Within the first two weeks of the first treatment I started seeing clearing and continued seeing additional clearing through the treatment process. It takes a few months after the final (third) treatment for full effects to take place, but I'm already so happy with the results. I loved the office and Nima so much that I am now doing laser hair removal with them and that has also been a lovely process. I couldn't recommend Nima and the Sajjadian team more!

I am a reasonable human and if they had told me, the doctor was running late, or had checked on me 10 minutes after leaving me alone in the room to explain that something had suddenly come up , I would've been more forgiving. However, they had asked me simply to continue to wait after 48 minutes. Rude.
