It's a cleaners. A very expensive cleaners. I needed my formal suit and shirt cleaned for New Years weekend as I was heading to Ensenada on Saturday. I brought my suit in on Thursday morning, as it was walking distance from work, and asked that it be ready Friday afternoon. The clerk said "sure, no problem. If you pay your bill up front, you get a punch on the punch card..." That didn't make any sense because if I paid when I picked up I would have gotten a punch anyway, so there is no benefit to paying ahead except for the convenience when picking up. So, $15.00 and change later, I got my punch. Yep, over $12.00 for a suit and over $3.00 for a shirt... paid. In advance... yes, south Pasadena is expensive, but really? I usually go to a pay ahead cleaners in La Habra and each piece it $2.95. So if I had gone there, I would have paid almost $7.00 LESS. So what's the difference? Nothing. A cleaners is a cleaners. This one just happens to be very expensive. read more

They said it would take two weeks to do the job, but when I went a week after the date, but was told that it was not finished. Once I requested to terminate the job, they told me it was finished. However, they sent me to another location in Pasadena to get it. When I asked for a discount, someone dropped it off in 5 minutes. Evidently, they subbed out their jobs, charged a higher price, and failed to manage it properly. After this, I realized it took me about 40 minutes to collect this supposedly done job. read more

I absolutely LOVE this cleaners. I have been coming here for almost a year n every time i come bring my problematic clothes, they fix it no problem. My youngest son knocked a candle over spilling all the wax into my pants drawer. My other son stepped on a brand new white silk shirt leaving a huge black shoe print. One of my favorite shirts lost 3 buttons in the back in the washing machine. So i brought all of my items in thinking there would b no way they could fix it all. That was 3 days ago. This morning i stopped by just to see how it was going. Not only was all of it ready to go, cleaned and sewed, but they all honestly look better then they did before each accident. The clothes look amazing, the price was FANTASTIC, and the woman behind the counter couldn't b sweeter. This place will ruin your treasured items and deny, deny, deny any responsibility. At least the previous owner claimed responsibility if they screwed something up. Make sure you READ the FILTERED reviews !!! I am glancing at a review I had written on Cordial Cleaner AFTER they had changed ownership in 2011; I am noticing that a followup review I had written ended up being filtered. This is NONSENSE on the part of YELP. Their site claims the following about filtered reviews: "Its purpose, however, remains the same: to protect consumers and business owners from fake, shill or malicious reviews." I am truly trying to let people know how disappointed I was after they ruined a blanket I bought in New Zealand. Yelp, if you do not believe me, come on over to my house and see the evidence. I have nothing but good experiences at this cleaners. I have had everything successfully dry cleaned and also had some alterations done. They hemmed my suit and even put a free hook in at the waist for pants that were slightly big. They also send out periodic coupons for $10 off. My kids love coming with me to get free bags of popcorn! read more

INCOMPETENCE! I dropped off my dress shirts on Tuesday and received a receipt that said they would be ready Wednesday night. My wife came by to pick them up and first was given women's clothes. Another customer arrived and they helped them ahead of my wife. After that they proceeded to tell her that the computer prints a time on the receipt, but that doesn't mean it's the actual time. She said the regular customers know that. Seriously? I went back today to get my shirts and was advised by Amanda that they weren't ready and she had no clue where they were. She proceeded to look through almost every hangng rack of shirts. She even had the gaul to ask me to come around and help her search for them! One reason dry cleaners are great is I can grab a random group of shirts and not think about them till I pick them up. Finally, she went to the back and located six of my shirts just being finished. I am waiting for the other two with little expectation that they will be ready at 12 like she promised. I AM NEVER GOING BACK THERE! read more

Best place in town. If they can remember your name it's a sign you're a regular. The staff make you feel at home. If I ask if I can have my clothing done by the next day, they more than likely say yes. Just as long as it's in before 1:30ish and that's at nO extra cost unlike nearby cleaners. read more

WORST cleaners in town now that ownership changed. They ruined my 1938 linen tablecloth after saying they could clean it. It was torn to shreds, with their laundry tag stapled directly on the old fabric - clearly it had been tossed in a machine and not hand detailed as was promised. When I complained, the response was "I won't charge you for cleaning." I went there for 30 years and will NEVER set foot in the place again. This is for washing services only. I've been a customer for years and took some clothes in to be washed. Received a unit back that WAS DESTROYED. The damage was so profound that It could be seen through the bag and now is unwearable. It looked as if someone had taken a knife to the shirt or rats had eaten through it. I spoke to two women about it, the second one named Miyella. the first woman said miyella was the manager and claimed to give me her number, she lied. Miyella is not the manager and the phone number she gave me was not her cell but merely the office number. Clearly these squirrelly women are used to lying and conniving to avoid being held accountable. They were both very rude and uncaring and wouldn't even have their seamstress clip off the hanging threads. The first girl actually had the audacity to accuse me of bringing the shirt in damaged. At first Miyella tried to represent that she was the manager (she is not) and then said their was not manager and finally said that Vince, The owner, was on vacation. She also made if very clear they weren't willing to do anything to keep my business and didn't care if I never came back. Unless you are trying to punish someone by having their clothing ruined, I wouldn't recommend going here ever. Also, they charge $2/lb but do not actually use the scale to weigh the units and overcharge. Clearly Miyella and her "co - worker" aren't concerned about defrauding their customers either. Specifically requested next-day service and was assured my clothes would be ready. Lo and behold, I arrive the next day to pick up my clothes and they AREN'T ready as promised. After waiting 15 mins for her to pickup my slacks from their off-site cleaning space, my clothes are bagged and I'm sent on my way... Only to get to my car and realize they forgot to bag my slacks! Just a total disaster. Will surely patronize another dry cleaner that has their sh!t together. read more

Excellent dry cleaning in South Pas. I have been going here for three years. I bring in loads of clothes weekly, if not twice a week. Typical turn around time is a few days, if I want it next day thats no problem (or extra charge) and if you bring it in early enough in the day same day service is available (no extra charge). The ladies that run it are nice, there is free popcorn and a tailor on site. Cant say I have had anything bad happen here. Cost? I don't know, there isn't a price board, its a business write off for me. They do have a frequent member card that gives you a discount after so many visits. Im moving in a week and have to search for a new cleaners, very sad as I will miss this place. Highly recommended! read more

These folks are beyond incomponent, they lost my clothes, gave me another person's clothes and the owner does not care. Spoke to the owner, he was NOT interested in what I had to say, his only interest was listening to himself speak, defending his staff, etc... Beware of this place, when you drop off your clothes, especially on the weekends, they will not give you an itemized receipt - perhaps because they may like something of yours, just saying... And finally, when we went in to vent our frustration, we were curse out and threatened in spanish. It's good thing I speak spanish. read more

Everyone who works here is pretty nice, but the service is absolutely dreadful. I thought twice about going here (since the reviews were mixed) and I should have trusted my gut. Most importantly, they gave me a real scare with my WEDDING DRESS. I entrusted them with it (again, wish I hadn't) and they assured me they would take good care of it and that it would take a week to clean. They also wouldn't tell me a day I could pick it up which was odd, and they weren't going to call me (so I was just supposed to guess?) When I went in to pick up my other clothes, they said the wedding dress would take a few more days. Again, when I asked for a specific day, they wouldn't give me one. I returned a full week later (just to be sure) and they didn't have my dress. In fact, they hadn't even started to clean it yet! Apparently, they lost the tag that was on the dress and didn't know who it belonged to. While the gentleman was nice and apologized, this doesn't excuse the fact that there is a huge lack of communication between the employees. At that point, I told them that I needed them to CALL me when the dress was ready (no more guessing game), and they assured me it would be ready by the following Friday (this is now 2 weeks longer than they said it would take). Come Friday afternoon I had not yet received a phone call from them. I called them up and they said, "oh yes, it's ready," and had no explanation for why they didn't call to let me know. When I picked it up, the woman offered me no apology, no refund, and not even a coupon or any incentive to want to come back (not that I ever would). This business has a lot to learn. read more

Don't waste your time taking your cleaning here. On Tuesday, I took a suit & pants to be dry-cleaned and a shirt to be laundered. The next day I went to pick up and the shirt was nowhere to be found. They said come back tomorrow and pick it up. Went back the next day, still no shirt. Went home and took a look at the suit and pants and noticed that they were not pressed (wondering if they were cleaned at all). Took them back on Thursday (still no shirt) to get pressed and was told that they would call me when everything was done. Never received a call. Finally picked up everything on Friday (they found the shirt) but the suit and pants were still wrinkled. I don't think they have a clue. I'd like to give them negative stars. read more
