After being so impressed with the taste and texture of our first cake, we were excited to have another Street Sweets cake. Last time we ordered a vanilla cake, this time we got chocolate. While the design was exactly what I asked for and they were easy to work with and so responsive, unfortunately the cake was so dry none of us could eat it. I reached out to the same person I'd been coordinating with and they never responded. I don't know if something changed or if their chocolate cake is just super dry, but would recommend sampling first if you decide to go with them. read more

After our visit, we definitely will have to come back because the food, service, and ambiance were on point. The staff was uber friendly and knowledgeable. They did not have creamer in the condiment station (red flag for me; I don't do mini moos). However, they offered to pour in real half and half for me, that they store behind the counter. The coffee was delicious, strong, and fresh. We had sugar cookies and baklava. Wonderful. The bakery cases were massive and large selection. The staff greeted us from the kitchen and walked towards the counter to help us. The seating is limited, but we were able to relax in the cozy sitting area with fireplace. Nice little bakery located in the same plaza as Kroger. It is a small little bakery with a few seats available. I purchased a blueberry glazed donut, chocolate peanut butter donut, baklava and bamieh. The walnut baklava was an absolute favorite! Wish I lived closer because I would want to get this all the time...it was that good! The bamieh was a bit smaller of pieces and a bit more chewy than I'm used to, but it was still good. I prefer mine to be a bit bigger and softer texture. The donuts were also good, nothing too special about them for $2/piece. This is truly one of the best dessert shops I have ever visited. My sister informed me that they had the best nutella pizza ever that you can modify. I have attached photos of a premade form for ordering the nutella pizza. On one side you can choose house specials that they have created, or you can flip the page over and make your own. The best part is that you can divide the pizza into half or quarters and choose multiple different options for sharing. We decided to do half, and it was so much fun to see the finished product. Be sure to ask for Plates if you are eating inside, as most leave after. It can be a bit messy and my pizza was super sweet, but I loved it. They even have forms for the liquid nitrogen ice-cream and a waffle pop! Along with this fun and unique creations, they have a cooler with cold drinks (the water helps wash down the sweet deliciousness). They also offer coffee, tea, and drips. When I checked in, I received a free coupon for a drip which I gave to my boyfriend. He said it was actually pretty good, as it was his first time trying one. They also had loads of unique desserts everywhere. I really wanted to try some, and I am familiar with a lot of them. Sadly, I was really full and I did not want to overdo it. A gem tucked away in strip mall in Sterling Heights. Street Sweets is a great place to come if you just gotta have that sugar fix. I always get the Triple Sweet Iced Latte. Of course I never remember the name and just end up asking for the Iced Carmel Latte with three donuts, and by then the staff usually know what I'm talking about. I tend to pick the same latte but I try to mix it up each time with the donuts. This time I picked the Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, and Strawberry Sprinkle. They're are tons of choices to choose from. They all tasted amazing but I feel like the strawberry sprinkle was my fave. Overall tasty and a sugar RUSH. This place is a hidden gem and a little hard to find but it is in the Kroger plaza! They have many pastries to choose from and some yummy desserts also. We went with 2 waffle pops and some pastries to go. The waffle pops were delicious and you get to make your own! You can also watch him make it in the machine which is really cool! I've come here twice, and it's a good place to come get dessert, and sit down and chat for a couple hours, because it tends not to be too busy and so it's a quiet and roomy place to do that. Some of my favorites: 1) I LOVE the pistachio baklava -- such simple goodness. 2) As for some of the trendier items. the donut ice cream is fun, but quite difficult to consume. If you want it for the pictures, by all means get it; if for the eating though, you may just want to get ice cream and donuts separately -- you can also be more creative with both that way. 3) The dessert pizza is quite decadent, but it tasted great. I will say that I have quite a high sugar tolerance, but even I found it a little overly sweet. Would definitely get it again, but I would choose to note to go light on the drizzle -- it was quite a lot. FYI, the plaza is currently under crazy construction (it looks like a war zone) and I initially almost drove away thinking it was gone -- don't do that!! read more

During the quarantine I'm trying to support local businesses, so I ordered my daughter's birthday cake from Street Sweets instead of just getting one at Kroger. I ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, vanilla buttercream and blue decorations. What I got was a mix of chocolate and white cake with some kind of flavorless white cream in the middle, and whipped icing. To top it all off, it was the most DRY and FLAVORLESS cake we'd ever had. There was no difference in flavor between the "chocolate" cake and the white cake. It went straight in the garbage. The mistake of having the wrong kind of cake and filling could be forgiven if it had been delicious, but since it was all wrong and terrible, 1 Star. I do not recommend this business. read more

Their desserts are all really good, love the variety that they offer. No where else in the Metro Detroit area can you get a customization dessert pizza. From a personal pan size or a family size, add whatever toppings you want to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. Another unique offering that they have are the muffits. I bought every flavor that they have available and loved them. They are organic, gluten free, low carb and no sugar muffins. When we went in, unfortunately there was only 6 more left(end of the day so it's understandable) and the owner popped in and gave us an unbeatable offer which we jumped on since they're gourmet lol. Anyways, back to the point the donuts were beyond delicious and unique, they had a lot of other options besides donuts too. I saw cannolis and baklava, they had a little station where they had coffee/drinks and another with different cake selections. The waffles that they offer are warm and soft with plenty of toppings to choose from. They also have a wide variety of sweets in their showcases that are freshly made daily. The strip mall that this gem is in, is under construction but definitely doesn't take away from the experience! When we walked in we were warmly greeted and explained how to order and what was offered. We had already looked at some of the options on yelp and were excited to try out the ice cream and waffle pops! I got the fruity pebble waffle pop and my son got the Cookie Monster liquid nitrogen ice cream (the serving size is big enough for 2 people for the normal size). We also tried a donut and some middle eastern donuts which were delicious and eaten before I remembered to take pictures. They will let you sample things you are curious about. The customer service is spectacular. They also had tic tax toe at one table and a large jenga at the other table, so definitely family friendly! The ice cream and waffle pops have creations that they have created with clever names that you can choose from or you can choose from a large list of toppings, just grab a dry erase marker and go to town!
