Came on a Friday for lunch with my dad. Haven't been here in years, so figured to give it a try. Inside has lots of booths and tables but feels old with some booth paddings ripped. Our waitress was dry and just cut to the chase, not overly friendly, seemed annoyed. She did re-fill our coffees a lot, which was appreciated. Never checked on us and how our food is. Menu is huge which I find a bit concerning with how fresh their ingredients are. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sandwiches do not come with a side; you have to add on to it. I saw homemade crepes and figured they would be a solid choice. The fruit filling for the crepes is either blueberry or strawberry. Little did I know it was from a can and not fresh. Our food came out quick and the portions were huge. Could not believe the number of crepes and all the breading. They were not flat but very thick and seemed like a pancake rolled up. I tried really hard to find the fruit filling and had to search for a while. The worst was that my crepe tasted like whatever else was on the griddle - lingering savory food is what it tasted like. I also ordered a side of bacon well done. Bacon was disappointing and wimpy. My dad seemed happy with his fish sandwich the breading was crunchy. Restrooms were fine, slightly gross but fine. However, turning the corner to go to the bathroom, you are greeted with old food/dirty plates, and it smelled. I have to say, I was a bit worried after reading some not so nice reviews...but I was pleasantly surprised by the service, the food, and the prices. They have a large breakfast menu...pretty standard, but they do have quite a few specials... I got a mini-omellete breakfast special that didn't seem too mini for me...It was plentiful...and it came with toast and hash browns...and it was like $5.50....so...score! They constantly circulated with coffee and it was good coffee too! I've lived about a mile from here for over 3 years, and I've never been, but I will gladly go back....actually I will be going back twice monthly for networking meetings....haha... I hate to be this person. But I was taken here for lunch by a family friend I was helping move. Going in, I knew there wouldn't be many options for me and my plant based diet, so I looked at the menu and figured veggie stir fry was safe. I asked if there were any animal products in it, like if it was cooked in chicken broth or anything, and the waitress got an attitude with me and said "no." So I ordered it. It came to the table, and was delicious, until halfway through I saw none other than bacon bits. Yup. There were so few of them too, that it led me to believe she asked the cook to put them in there on purpose because of my "annoying" order. This is a pretty average diner. There is no atmosphere, it's just bland......and that's the food too. I had dinner at this establishment last week. I started with some potato soup. It was thick - not creamy, but thick like PASTE! It was pretty much flavorless....I guess I'd call it salt and pepper paste soup. I also ordered a burger. While it looked pretty decent, the bun seemed to be a baker type....but it tasted bland and tired. The burger was a juiceless, dried up, hockey puck. Too bad. Our service was really great though. We had a nice young waitress who was extremely attentive - that's why I give them 2 stars instead of 1. I don't plan on ever going here again. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Every Friday my mom and I go out to dinner. Orange Tree is usually not a place we eat at. Maybe twice a year, but my mom had a coupon and we went. I think the coupon was for 15% entire bill. The lady at the register only took 15% off one meal. The coupon did say no more than 6 meals. That tells me "entire" bill not just one. The lady would not budge, she said only one meal. Needless, to say we won't be eating at Orange Tree. The worker probably pocketed the difference of the coupon. Was here for lunch yesterday. I had 3 coneys. I asked for heavy onion. The coneys only had a normal amount of onion and they had a slightly burnt taste. Loved how all the girls were dressed up for St. Patrick's Day...My husband got a kick out of it...We noticed it was pretty busy and they did some remodeling since our last visit. Great improvements..Our waitress had a red wig and green hat on she was very nice and suggested the corned beef and cabbage...It was wonderful... and we got free dessert... Not sure why all the bad reviews. We go here about once a month for breakfast. Good size portions. Price isn't too bad. They will give you the wifi password if you ask. Waitresses are friendly. Doesn't take too long to get food. I don't like having to take my check up to the cash register. Usually not that may people there at 8:30 am Saturdays. This was an ok place nothing special. They do have a large array of meals. A bit expensive though, especially on breakfast meals & items. We usually go elsewhere for Sunday breakfast, our spot was too crowded, probably because of home power outages this morning. So everywhere was crowded. We decided to try this place. Pancakes had to be sent back because they were uncooked. Bacon was a cheap version of what you usually get at a good restaurant. Bacon was overdone for thin pieces. 2 eggs scrambled looked as if only one egg, so we figure they don't use large eggs. Toast was not toasted enough & coffee just wasn't hot enough. While I wish this place the best of luck, since I realize it's hard to have a small business succeed in today's market. Sorry to say this but we won't be back.
