    Gyro with fries! Very tasty!
    Tony P.

You'll always have a great meal here with the food quality, service, and steady prices. I've never seen a piece of trash on the floor more than a toothpick that someone cashing out dropped. Bathrooms are always super clean and even for a single person bathroom it's very rarely taken when ya gotta go. Me and my gramma went today and ordered a Gyro and fries for me and a chicken fajita wrap for her. Best gyro I've had in a long time and the sauce was very very good! Even had more dill in it than I usually get and that was a plus!

Our waitress's forgot to give us our forks repeatedly so we had to ask the bar for silverware, but our food was delicious! We opted for the chocolate chips pancakes, the special, and a vegetarian omelet! U can't go wrong with your choice!

    Monte Cristo

First time customer. Food was great. Had the Monte Cristo. Excellently made. Been looking for a place that serves it. I used to drive by this restaurant all the time. I saw on facebook someone else said they had the Monte Cristo and recommended it. My guest had the NY RUBAN it was pretty large also excellent. Prices are average. Staff was nice. It was quiet for weekday lunch. Chicken Lemon Rice Soup was good.

I had this place bookmarked for a while, but never came down 11 mile. My coworker said she loved this place so I decided to tag along today for lunch. When I walked in, the place was newly renovated and really clean. It's connected to a gas station so it was a big surprise to find the place looking really nice! Our server was friendly and attentive. The daily specials looked delicious. The real winner here is apparently the Dill Pickle soup made from scratch. It's available on Wednesday's and sells out quick, so I'll have to come back. If you want to try their soups, they'll give you a sample, but the chicken lemon rice soup is a real winner and so is the stuffed pepper soup. I decided on the gyro plate with rice. The portion was generous, the plate was huge and I was full and happy waddling my way out. The Reuben Quesadilla was part of the special today and my coworker was on cloud 9 while I was trying to sneak a chunk off her plate. The food comes out pretty quickly, and the price point is perfect. All in all a great place to eat, it's receive great reviews for good reasons. I'll definitely make this place a spot on my lunch rotation list!

Food is good but they charge you more on the bill if you use a card and not cash. Never been to a restaurant that has done that

My husband ordered the classic waffle with the chicken wings and the I had tried to order the salmon and grits but they were out of the salmon so I ordered the Toast Plate which was eggs, side of meat, and toast. And I still ordered some grits as a side. We love soul food so my husband had to order sides of the Mac n Cheese and the Greens. All the food was amazing.

Being that it was snowing, I was tired and had a million other things to do, I decided to stop in and have breakfast here on the fly. Walking in, the place is large, but the tables and chairs are sparse. Not much to see here, but they seem to be holding it together. I was seated immediately and my server was attentive and nice. She snagged me a menu and they have a good selection of food to choose from. I ventured off from my usual eggs and hash browns for once and tried their breakfast sandwich. From experience, not all breakfast sandwiches are created equal! I was skeptical from being disappointed in the past. I also ordered a side of hash browns because I wanted to see what they were like. I got the sandwich on Texas toast and let me tell you, it was fabulous! It was egg and cheese only and so good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hash browns were as well. They were cubed style, with some onions and spice to it. I topped it off with a dash of hot sauce and boom, there ya go folks, good stuff it is! My bill was about $8 give or take, I can't remember the exact amount. Overall, a good meal for a decent price. While the place isn't super fancy on the inside, it really made a good impression on me!

I wanted to go some place I haven't been before and this place popped up not to far from where I'm staying. Walking in, the place is clean with plenty of seating. I was greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere I liked. Fortunately, there wasn't a wait since it was still super early. Reviewing the menu, they have a great selection of breakfast and brunch items to choose from. I read online that they have chicken and waffles, but when I asked the waitress where it was at on the menu, she said it's not listed there and is an "off menu" item that could be prepared for me. After thinking about it, I decided that I was going to get an omlet instead. I got the greek omelet instead and let me tell you, the portions are huge! Food was absolutely delicious and I ate as much as I could. Service was fantastic and I didn't feel pressured to order anything that I wasn't comfortable with. Water and coffee were always full and my bill came in a timely manner. I will be returning when I'm on this side of town for a good solid breakfast. This place should be an example of how to do things correctly without over correcting or trying to hard. I love it here!

Overcooked. Very greasy. We were there at noon and ordered the carryout shortly before leaving. I suspect the deep fryer was turned off due to closing time and the clams were cooked in inadequately heated oil. I have been coming here since 1990 for deep fried clams. Thus will be the last. Had to throw the order in the trash. Major DISAPPOINTMENT in this place.

I used to live nearby about 25 years ago and remember coming to a diner in this area for breakfast back then. Fast forward to today--this isn't the same place, but wow, it's absolutely amazing. Right away I loved the vibe. The chalkboards with handwritten menu items and daily specials on the walls give the place so much character and charm. It feels welcoming, classic, and cool all at the same time. The customer service was excellent from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the country breakfast, which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage--everything was spot on. I'm usually not a big hash browns person, so I really appreciated that they offer an alternative to the shredded style. I went with the cubed breakfast potatoes (not sure what they officially call them), and they were so much better--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Between the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere, this place completely won me over. I already know I'll be back next weekend. Oak Diner has a really, really good vibe, and I'm glad I rediscovered breakfast here. Highly recommend.

It's light and airy and it smells of soap -- not nasty disinfectant, but just pure, clean soap. And it smells of nicely cooked food as well, of course. The waitstaff was very friendly and welcoming, which is always nice. I ordered the senior fish & chips and the server, Jennifer, asked me if I was old enough. I offered to show her my I.D. & she said she believed me, but that I didn't look it. Needless to say, that made me feel good. (Although, not to toot my own horn, but I don't look my age.) The fish was two big, thick pieces. I actually only finished about 3/4 of one piece! It came with fries that were fine but nothing special, and I got cole slaw instead of soup. That was good as well. But, it was also served with canned green beans. Just...no. My sister got a turkey club sandwich which also came with soup or cole slaw. She enjoyed that as well. And I loved that the iced tea was served in mason jars. Such a homey little touch! The prices were very reasonable as well. In fact, I think they were less than those of a fast food place we stopped at later in the day for a carry out! Definitely worth a stop -- nothing fancy, but it's good, solid food.

Ordered veggie skillet, bagel with cream cheese instead of toast, Greek salad, feta on the side and turkey Reuben with onion ring side. $42.75 Food was out almost an hour after we arrived, must be patient for your food to come out. Their cinnamon bread for their French toast comes from MO, why not get it here locally? The first coffee mug had some black stuff on the rim. The onion ring batter looks like, but it's quite heavy and soggy. The rings also smell and taste like fish. Must use the same oil as their fried fish? Not pleasant. I think the batter for the onion rings could be the same used for their fried fish. Their turkey Reuben is so-so, it's sliced deli meat. The cheese seems like cheese sauce. Nothing special. The bread is at least nicely toasted. The Russia dressing is tasteless. The Greek is old work out iceberg lettuce. The onions are big and not good for this salad. Dressing is thick and bland. The pepperoncini don't taste so good.
