I always saw Orange theory as SUPER expensive. However if you don't have a lot of money to dish on fitness and can supplement at home or elsewhere this is a great addition to your workout sessions. If you don't have the money then it really isn't. If you have the money to go everyday then DO IT. Made an appointment for a free session to try them out and was not disappointed. Probably the most professional gym I've been to in a while. They called me the night before to make sure I was ready for the morning session. Then as I got there they gave me a tour. I met the owner and the coach. They thoroughly explained orange theory to me. The coach I felt kept an eye on me during the whole class since I was new to make sure I was ok. She was also very motivational. So much fun! I ended up getting a membership for twice a week. So excited about it. Hopefully it helps me reach my fitness goals. I'll try them out for a few months and see how it goes! read more

I tried this place out because I had heard about it from a few people & I was looking to switch up my workout routine. I went in for my free (first) class and fell in love. Its an hour long session, 30min cardio/intervals on a treadmill and 30 minutes on the floor. The floor is a mix of body weight exercises/ weights/ and rowing. On the treadmill you can either walk or run, & the instructor basically has you change up your speed/incline so that you really get in a great 30 minutes of cardio. They use heart rate monitors so you can see how hard you are exerting yourself throughout the workout. Also, you can go at your own pace, my suggestion - push it to the limit. I ended up buying the membership which entitles me to 8 classes per month so that I can use those classes as a supplement to what I do at my other gym. The only down side is that there is only classes offered here (not a gym where you can also just work out). It's also not cheap, but it is a great workout.. you get what you pay for. If you want to try something new, and push your body to the limit, check it out. read more

Solely based on the coach and class, this would be five stars easily. Juan was very encouraging, welcoming and helpful in making sure i was doing things correctly. the music was good. the treadmill drills were challenging. the other people in the class were cool. As a visitor to several different OT's, i would note a few confusing differences such as there not being a screen on for the weight floor with instructions and not using corresponding numbers for tread/rower/weight floor stations. But not a big deal because the coach is everywhere helping everyone. You really can't get too lost. I always look on mindbody for nearby classes when i travel and Juan's 4:30am was an awesome find! However, minus a star for the front desk. Ugh, not welcoming. not efficient. Couldn't even send me my class stats. and clearly she didn't want to be there or even attempt to give caring, helpful customer service. My advice to a visiting client if this isn't your home OT, don't tell them that. Lastly, when asked if my stats could be resent (she said she typed the email in incorrectly) i was told i would need to contact corporate office for help. ooook so i asked for that number. Her reply "I don't have it. You should look online" Go to class here anyway. Chances are a friendlier staff will be there and not the grump there this morning. read more

I dont think I can say enough positive things about this OTF location; from the trainers, staff and the owner himself. I have been attending regularly since July 2016 and have busted my butt to be able to keep up at times. The results have started to really sho this year. The trainers never made me feel "less" for not keeping up with the pack or having to take the alternate move. They have supported my fitness goals by encouraging and challenging me. I highly recommend this location - no matter what your fitness level is. If you run a 6 minute mile or are still a power-walker, this can give a well rounded work out. read more

I used to go to Coral Gables and loooooved it...and still do. We moved to Pinecrest so I tried this location today. Not disappointing at all! Same awesome instructors and the front desk people are super nice as well! So far, I've met Stephanie, Claudia, Christina and Diana...i think I'll feel right at home here as well. read more

The facility is nicely maintained. Classes are always crowded. I was a member for 9 months and went to the same trainer and don't think she ever remembered who I was. I was injured and needed to change my membership from monthly to by the class as I was unable to work out while in physical therapy and got charged an extra month to cancel. Rude at the desk. I thought I would return when my PT is over and have now decided there are nicer places to spend $170 a month. Great workout cancelled out by bad service. read more

I finished my class and was asked if Id like to continue for a month. Out of a courtesy and not to look like a cheapo, I paid for one month only to find out I have been being charged every month since. When I explained to the rude front desk attendant that I only went that day as they can confirm in their system, she basically told me her manager said they had me on a technicality. I usually go to the location on Bird but decided to give this location a try since it was closer to my friend, who I was accompanying. Jen was the trainer and she was AMAZING!!!! She usually doesn't work at this location but was there to cover someone else's shift. I love the workout but the staff in the front was rude and unprofessional. I was thinking of changing location based on the amazing trainer but seeing how rude the staff is and how wonderful they are on Bird I think the change isn't even worth it. As a side not, this location charges to 'rent' a strap in case you forgot yours but the other locations usually don't charge. I think this location could use a change in staff or better training to deal with clients. Also, if you're interested in a 9:15 am class please note that people register 3 months!!! YES!!! 3 months in advance!!!! So make sure to check before you actually purchase a plan. The location on bird is on a weekly basis so theres's no need to worry about that there and Fatima is wonderful. Another thing to note was that their computer froze so after an extremely difficult workout we couldn't even see our results... which defeats the whole purpose of even wearing the heart rate monitor. FAIL all around except the trainer which doesn't even work here. read more

Very dissapointed with this place. You guys were nice the first two sessions, telling us that if for some reason we had to cancel a class a few hours before "you guys would take care of it", "as long as it wasn't right before class". We call a few hours before the class to cancel and you guys change the rules on us. We understand that rules are rules, but don't tell us that you make exceptions (the day we sign up) and then when we call, you make us sound like we are lying. Anyways, even though I enjoyed the workouts I will not be coming back. I should have known better the day I signed up and the saleswoman in the front desk was pushing hard to sell us your heart rate monitors. We had to leave our "car" (keys) as collateral to use an Orange Theory heart rate monitor that day... read more

What a great workout... I went there for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. This type of interval training is by far the best, forget crossfit, this is the best and safest way to get a good workout without worrying if your gojng to get hurt by inattentive training staff. The staff at OTF are very professional and the trainer is very attentive with your form and techique of what ever workout your doing... this definitely a must try if only once. read more

As a Christmas gift my bestfriend gave me 4 classes so that I could join her on saturday's to work out. I have gone for 2 classes and I have to say I do feel like you get a great workout here. I like that you are able to monitor your heart rate and calories burned. The main thing I dont like about this gym is that you have to set up an appointment which becomes a hassle. I also dont like that you get charged if you don't cancel 12 before the class, I am always busy and cannot have a set schedule when it comes to the gym. The classes are expensive but if you want a workout where you dont have to think about what to do next this is a good place to go it's like personal training but in a group. read more

Although I prefer the Coral Gables orange theory location, this one is also very clean and staff is very professional. I really like the trainer Cynthia who has been subbing here recently. I usually come in the mornings to this location or right after work, but those are definitely the busiest times. I recently signed up for a class at 8 p.m. and there weren't too many people so that is the prime time to go. All the night people usually come at this time as well. Amazing workout. The staff and fitness trainers at this location are all first rate. The workout is amazing and the trainers keep it fun and motivating throughout. The 60 minutes really does fly by. The front desk staff are also outstanding. They are always courteous and do their best to get you squeezed in,even if the class is full. I really cannot say enough, it is honestly the best workout in Miami. If you are looking for a workout that will keep you interested, try here before you go anywhere else, you'll be sold. The workouts are never, ever the same, each trainer has their own style and they change the routines for every single class, I dont know how they do it. LOVE LOVE OT! I have been to several studios around the country (all are VERY good), but this location is the BEST :) Both my husband and I are members and we find that the coaches are extremely motivated and enjoy their job. I have been going to OTF for a bit over a month and so far I am down one dress size. I feel energetic and excited to go workout. I love the fact that you ALWAYS have a trainer. One thing I don't like about a reg gym is A) the amount you have to pay to have a trainer B) working out without a trainer and lacking direction. I love the fact that it is one solid hour of an intense workout. All of the trainers in the Miami Lakes location are amazing and incredibly motivating. I'll be the first to admit - and most of my friends would probably back me up - that I don't love working out. I am a realist though and know that it needs to be done so I decided to join this place. I know what they do here is still working out - but I dig it. The first thing I like is that its only an hour - I figure I can do just about anything for an hour. When you get there you spend about a half hour on the treadmill and about a half hour on a rowing machine and in the weight room. The treadmill workout is varied by speed and incline. The weight room is three circuits using dumbbells, boss things, these straps attached to the wall, medicine balls and decks - the trainers keep this pretty varied too. Their "thing" is to keep your heart rate in the orange zone for a certain amount of time. Regardless of this part of it, I leave there feeling great. I have been going 4-5 days a week which I have done before but not so enthusiastically. All the sessions are group training with a trainer and I have had a bunch of different trainers and have liked them all. I don't know that they are necessarily doing anything super ground breaking aside from getting me to the gym 5 days a week - but that in itself is pretty ground breaking. read more

I now attend Orange theory and love it! I would suggest it to anyone for a try, but not at this location! The customer service that I got at this location was terrible. I am been dealing with customer service my entire life and have watched my dad own his own business growing up and this is not near of professional. They can state their statistics all they want on how they are the best store, but when it comes down to an issue or a problem they were not there to help in any way. In fact, they simply sat there and stared and said sorry in the most unapologetic way. They were so untrained and shouldn't be working there. If that's the way the owner wants their reputation to be then I wont be returning. I love how they said there was absolutely nothing they could do, it was all by the book at every location, however when the we visited another location near by they were extremely helpful and nice. Just goes to show you how this location's customer support is lazy. I would most definitely say go to orange theory! I tell everyone to try it. JUST NOT THIS LOCATION.
