I am almost recovered from my condition! My sports doctor recommended Orca Wellness and I stared working with Dr. Yang (Tracy). She is such a great doctor to work with. Dr.Yang would listen carefully about what I had to say each time, she is very knowledgable and she measures and takes notes for each session to monitor my progress. When I feel painful or restricted from my workout, she always support with very empathetic words and encouragement. she is full of energy and fun too. With her help and guidance, I was able to recover so fast and steady also safely, and I am now able to play light sports. The firm itself is well organized and very clean. When my tmj pain was severe and spreading through my upper half body, I called and emailed all over Seattle looking for a chiropractor who examines the root of my pain and tailors my treatment. After my first visit with Dr. Yang at Orca Wellness, I found no other offices I visited cared about patients' progress and independence like she does. 8 sessions and 2 months later, I'm able to relief pain on my own and maintain relief with her exercises. She examined and gave care within the first appointment, not looking for extra paperworks or have me come back another day like other offices do. Every visit is consisted of addressing the immediate pain, then exercises to prolong the relief and maintain good habits. She's also knowledgable and passionate about anatomy, so would be able to pinpoint the source of your pain in by the muscle, joint or ligament name every time. It's pretty cool. Orca Wellness and Dr. Raul Tello are legit five stars. I have been an avid chiroprctic patient for years. I have always had an active, physical life and feel having chiropractic care keeps me centered and is a part of my health regiment. i.e. exercise, nutrition. Recently after an operation I had unexpected complications and lost the use and mobility of my left arm, it was horrible. Dr. Tello is very knowledgable is sports medicine, mobility and chiropractic. Today was my first appointment with Dr. Tello, and I can't say enough. Raul (Dr. Tello) is extremely knowledgeable, took his time not only listening to me but also responding to help me understand what was happening. He is not like any chiropractor I have seen in the PNW, or anywhere else to be honest. He is a true sports medicine professional! I came in because I have a half marathon in less than a week and have been experiencing excruciating pain during my training runs. My thought was something was wrong, but what, I had no idea. Dr. Tello performed a very thorough nerve exam, checked my spine and the source of the pain point and was able to work through the muscles with a very deep (and painful though relieving) massage, and took me to his PT side of the office to teach me how to build my glute muscles to help relieve the pain if not immediately. Dr. Yang is the real deal! She knows her stuff, and she uses a combination of techniques (manual PT, chiropractic adjustments, stretching) to address my chronic neck and back pain. She even picks up on tenderness, sore muscles, and misalignment that I didn't even notice were contributing to my pain. She's happy to explain what she's doing, or answer my random questions about muscles, bones, posture, etc, whenever I ask. She's very fun and easy to talk to, and never veers into the quack-y sounding parts of chiropractic. Both receptionists I've interacted with are incredibly nice, and the practice has a well-designed online system to book appointments and pay bills, with email and text notification capability. There's also never really much of a wait when I come in. I really don't have any complaints! I know when I go to see Dr. Yang, and I'll leave feeling better than when I came in. Please Read the whole thing because I have only good things to say about this business. Everything and I mean everything about this place is 5 star worthy. For those familiar with the Seattle area, I was eating at Jai Thai and spotted a modest street advertisement for Orca Wellness. It listed Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Nutrition and I was certainly in need having recently moved into the city. I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk, equip with square cash ready iPads and high end data systems. Dr. Tello was getting himself some tea as I was inquiring with the front desk and to my surprise, Dr. Tello address me and offered to make me a cup! Not only was he hospitable but he actually invited me into his practice room to see me for a consultation on the spot. Keep in mind this was a walk-in! I have been seeing Dr. Tello for over a month now and have seen drastic improvements four other Doctors prior couldn't/didn't solve or even alleviate. Dr. Tello uses an essential combination of both physical therapy and chiropractic care to get you seeing result within a few weeks. I have been to 5 chiropractic professionals in my life everywhere from San Francisco to Pennsylvania. Even Dr. Banic in Issaquah whom I felt was the best in my experience, is easily dwarfed the skill, knowledge, kindness and authenticity of Dr. Tello and his staff. I have suffered from chronic discomfort in my neck as well as limited mobility for years and years. By using some very easy balance and coordination exercises which Dr. Tello will walk you through (usually before adjustment). I have regained full mobility and can turn any which way without discomfort. Along the way, he has educated me with amazing knowledge and current scientific information. i.e. recent studies, findings as well as neurological and physiological habits. Another note worthy factor is the LMT Jennifer... Through the countless massages I have had, ranging everywhere between Spain and Cozumel, I can say with confidence she takes 2nd place....maybe even tied for first! Jen uses Swedish and deep tissue, in combination with active sports massage techniques (which are pretty much very involved stretches) where she activates certain muscle areas in order to relax tension. This method is new to me and foreign to most laymen. Going to Dr. Tello was my first chiropractic experience after having chronic back and leg pain.
