The finish work was detailed and site was left clean and lovely. We did experience a single dispute occurring at the end of the project. While we had the verbal assurance from the project manager he would keep us apprised of cost overruns, we received a staggering surprise at the end of project, only with the final billing. When disputes or misunderstandings occur, there is always a lesson for both parties involved. We have learned with future projects to have all our requests in writing prior to implementing and making down payment for the job. Verbal sales statements are never enough no matter how sincerely made. We have learned to demand accounting toward the original contract, and to demand the new estimate of costs of new issues in labor and materials, as they occur. This clearly keeps all parties on the same page. In our case, we expected some cost overrun, but were unaware of the change order resulting in an overall 38% cost increase. While we did verbally discuss some rot issues and the placement of a new support pole, we had no change of order workplan to sign off our understanding of the potential increase in cost range. We are grateful to the owner and the project manager for reviewing our dispute, coming to an agreement for 31% above the final contract amount, after review of receipts and labor log. Had it not been for a breakdown in communication and lack of written understanding for both parties, this job clearly would have been a 5 star!!!!

I spoke with David at Sparky's - he asked if I needed immediate assistance, or if the next day would be okay to fix it. I wasn't in dire straights, so I scheduled for the next day. At 7:30 at night, it was very refreshing to speak with an actual human being. I had called 3 other outfits prior to Sparky's, and nobody answered. David was extremely professional, very friendly, and even very complimentary about the other rehab work I had performed to this point. After he fixed the valve he asked if I would leave the wall open for a few days, and randomly check to make sure it wasn't leaking. Before he left my home he said "I don't care if it's 3am, if you find it leaking call me. I will come right over and take care of it. We stand by our work.". That is very, very refreshing in today's world! He called me 2 days later to check in and make sure everything was going okay, and gave me the green light to seal the wall back up. I can't recommend these guys enough! The service is great, and even though this is the only experience I've had with them the cost was very reasonable.
