Worst cleaners, ever. They are not willing to work with you on issues. I took jackets to be dry cleaned and when I picked them up, they all have a strong perfume smell. I called to tell them and asked if they could remove the smell and the dude who works the counter acted all dumb and said no. Tells me that getting smells and stains out aren't guaranteed. They didn't have a perfume smell when I took them in! They're the ones who made my jackets smell like that! They're a horrible business and I recommend that you take your business to a better cleaners who know what they're doing because these numbnuts don't. Zero stars if I could do it. read more

HORRIFIC RIP OFF!!! Do not come here I repeat. Do not come here. Lol they have hidden fees and aren't upfront about the price when you go in. I went I today and I got a button replaced a zipper fixed and one little piece of a band sewn on 3 different pants but very easy job doesn't take long. My mom has sewn a button on my pants in liek 5 minutes before. Lol so anyway, I come on and he tells me 65 DOLLARS!! I THOUGHT I HEARD IT WRONG. for a button a zipper a a easy little sew job? Should have been under 50 probably 35 . So we started to argue because I wasn't go Ling to pay that much so I said just give me the patch off and I'll be on my way that was 10 dollars only. HE ARGUED WITH ME AND HIS WIFE OVER I THINK IT WAS..SHE STARTED ARGUIING WITH ME THEN LITERALLY HIT MY CLOTHES AND BROKE THE CLEAR PLASTIC ON IT. I THOUGHT SHE WAS GOINF TO HIT ME BUT SHE WALKED AWAY. SO I PAID HE FINALLY GAVE ME 10 DOLLARS LESS LOL so the button is a used button probably off someone else's pants. This was not new. He showed me the buttons they had and all looked kinda funny but I went with that one since they didn't have a great selection of silver. I will be sewing my own clothes for now on and never coming back here. CRAZY. Anyway if you like being way over charged come here. I really need to take this to time to give some feedback for Orchid Cleaners & Laundry. I have been going to them for about a year or more. They do great work, have great customer service. They have been reliable and I felt their work was consistent w/ good quality. I send all my Adidas garments to them so they will not get faded.. BUT this time, I had a horrible, negative experience that is worth posting/sharing w/ others (and as well as the business owner). On Wednesday, 10/16/19 I came in after noticing some black marks on my new adidas skirt (only worn twice). When I came in to show the markings on my skirt, the guy who always helps me told me: "that is not our work. We don't do work like that." And I agreed it wasn't there normal high quality work. He kept saying that over and over. I clearly communicated to him, I have not worn the skirt since I picked it up. He continuously blamed me stating that I wore it and caused these black marks. At that point, I got frustrated . I verbally let him know I was not ok w/ how he handled the situation. I became upset. Then to make things worse .. the lady (another worker) looked at the skirt, blamed me and then .... (wait for it).... started laughing. That made me even more upset ... at that point I got very angry .. raised my voice big time and expressed my frustration. (I was wrong for that.. I take responsibility for that). I know it's just a skirt. And there are worse things in the world. But to completely disregard me as long standing, loyal customer pissed me off. Like why not work together collaboratively, and come to a solution as a team? But that was my experience. I will take my business elsewhere. DO NOT EVER USE THIS DRY CLEANER! I brought them over $100 worth of clothing including 4 suits and one grey suit had BLEACH spots on the sleeve. They did absolutely nothing to try and help me but completely denied any fault. I even tried to salvage the relationship because I live close by but they treated me like complete garbage. They have no respect for their customers and 0 customer service. The female owner just snarked and made catty comments like "it doesn't matter if you spent $1000 or live close by." Very convenient dry cleaning spot for the Bluff/Alamitos Beach neighborhood - there are always a couple very of parking spots right in the front of the store and the location is easy to get to. The owners are courteous and will help you load your stuff in and out if you have a lot. They did a great job with my 12 pieces of clothing including dresses and blazers. I rarely dry clean my clothing, and the last time I did at a different spot, the smell was funny and clothes were still wrinkled and I guess I kinda assumed that was normal. Not the case at Orchid Cleaners! Everything turned about beautifully. Fair prices, good and quick customer service, quality job, convenient location...everything you'd expect and hope for. read more

I can say, so far, Orchid has done no wrong. Clothes come back clean. Clothes are ready when said. Unfortunately, the dry-cleaning prices are a bit high. Fortunately, they are competitive. Laundry on the other hand is cheap...less than $2 per item. Can't comment on the alteration service as I haven't needed the service yet. This place is easily assessable with its drive-up parking. I have used Orchid Cleaners for years and am only finally now writing a review. They do an excellent job on all my delicate fabrics. I have tried numerous Dry Cleaners in the neighborhood the one off Broadway/ Gaviota & the more expensive "F" off Broadway/Redondo. I appreciate that they also have the nerve to say when we were cleaning we noticed this button was already missing, we wanted you to know. I appreciate the laundry drop bag service. I simply drop the bag with my name on it and tell them when I need it by. So much simpler! When I pick up my items the same man remembers my name and greets me with a smile. It is nice supporting mom and pop places that care about their customers. Long review... but I really love Orchid Cleaners and I owe it to them as a long time customer. read more

I always drop some of my laundry there! I've never had any issues!! They are very honest and Kevin has let me know in the past of clothes that were not worth dry cleaning or fixing! I have used their seamstress service and my clothes were done right! I'm always late picking up my laundry because I work out of town sometimes and I never get scolded! I like their service a lot! They are friendly and Kevin has many times offered to help me to carry my clothes to the car! I recommend their service! So far none of my clothes were damaged as I've read in previous posts and to be perfectly honest, if that had happened, I'd probably forgive them! Mistakes can happen. read more

I have lots of dry cleaning that I need to have done regularly... this place is my new go-to since paramount cleaners closed down. Very affordable, professional service. I am astounded at how clean my blazers were. There's usually a film that I've kind of gotten used to over the years that sits on the shoulders and around the cuffs; however, w/ this experience I had no film, no stiffness in the fabric, and my heavily used jackets were fresh, no lingering odors at all! We had 2 carpets dry cleaned there and they did a terrible job. They stretched them out of shape and they are ruined. We spoke to the owner and he is not doing anything about it. We have contacted him several times and he has done nothing. They are the worst and Don't except responsibility for what they did. read more

I have tried all the other cleaners on Broadway and a couple others around Long Beach and Orchid is by far the best. They always go above and beyond and offer excellent customer service. They always catch a missing button or a stitch fix that my girlfriend sneaks into the laundry bag without mentioning it. They also have parking which is convenient. read more

This is my neighborhood cleaners and I want to recommend them to the Long Beach community. I've been frequenting this merchant for the past 6 years and been very happy with the service. They remembered me after the second time in the store which is a sign to me you've found the right neighborhood. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but you definitely get a high level of service (and as we all learn eventually...you do get what you pay for if you are aware). They always have everything done when they say and have helped me out with turning things around fast when you need that special shirt then next day. The staff is very freindly and always have a smile.... I'm pretty new to the dry cleaning world, but this place does a fantastic job on my dress shirts. I'm a server at a restaurant that requires our shirts to be so heavily starched they could serve as bullet proof vests. I passed this place on my way to Foasberg, and decided to give it a whirl because I saw the Same Day Service sign. They launder, starch the bejesus out of my shirts, and press them, all for less than $2 each. They also don't add any kind of service/ticket fee to the order. Since calling the manager seemed like a headache, I walked into a fabric store to ask for assitance for the zipper Orchid Cleaners damaged. In less than a minute I was directed to a zipper kit to fix. Wow Orchid ... you had my jacket for weeks and couldn't fix it. Denied damaging it, but I walk into a fabric store and find a solution in less than a minute? You should be paying me for this repair I had to purchase. Orchid's is a pretty good dry cleaner. I take my work shirts here once a month. They are open saturdays and until 7pm during the week, which is great because with work I can't go any other time. It is only a buck and some change per shirt for regular laundry. I recently had a tare in a sleeve and they fixed it right up for $3.55. It opened up again the first time I wore it, but I am sure they will do it again for no charge when I go again. read more

I really wanted to like this place since we live so close but I honestly just can't support a business that is run this poorly and does such a crappy job. I brought 15 lbs of laundry in for fluff n fold the other day and the lady who greeted me seemed like she had a stick up her ass. Not the nicest human being, but whatever, as long as they do a good job with my clothes. I come back a couple days later to pick up my laundry, another lady is working and seems like she has a smaller stick up her ass. Whatever, as long as they do a good job with my clothes. When she comes back, I hear her talking in spanish to another guy asking him if 'the bag looks like 15 lbs?" I'm white but I can speak spanish so once I get the bag and feel how not heavy it is, I'm wondering if they charged me for 15 lbs but it's really a lot less? My last fluff n fold had the scale right up front, but Orchid's is behind the counter so you don't get to see them weigh it. When I get home, I weigh it on my mail scale and sure enough, it's only 10 lbs. I call in and they say oh sorry, let me refund you for the 5 lbs. Later that day, I open the bag and guess what, it's not my laundry!! Orchid passes out your laundry in these super anti-eco-friendly paper wrapped bags so you can't see the contents. Again, other places use clear bags to avoid this problem. So I have to go back in and they say sorry, come into the back and let's find your laundry. I find it and take the bag home - again, I wasn't expecting a discount or free laundry for this screw-up but at least act like you're really sorry and realize that it was an inconvenience for me to have to come back in. Ok so I finally get home and start putting away my laundry and it honestly looks like a 5 year old folded my clothes. Some of the clothes were just laid down and not folded at all and most of my shirts are wrinkled or folded poorly. I think 2 stars is generous but since they are so close to my house, I gave them an extra star. Unfortunately, they have some serious problems with their employees, processes and the actual service they provide. You've been warned :) read more

One thing about Long Beach, on pretty much every corner you can find 1) a 7-11, 2) a laundry-mat and 3) a dry cleaner. Point being is, after living in here for 10 years plus, I tried a number of dry cleaners before Orchid. After my first experience with Orchid I haven't gone anywhere else. The manager refuses to honor a discount card that the business's owner personally sold to me for $40 with no expiration date. Manager says they no longer do business with the company that handles the discount promotions. I said "so what, I bought this card from your business and paid your business owner for it. It never expires. You have to honor it." Manager laughed, and just repeated that they are not honoring the cards. He seems to think this is funny. They get no more of my business. read more

I really don't have that much dry cleaning, so when two different groups of dry cleaning both came back with repair work necessary on at least one item (such as a torn shoulder seam) I began to think that their own cleaning equipment must be having something to do with the material tears. And the last top they charged me almost $20 to repair the seam! A bit annoying when you suspect their own machines did it. Don't think I'll be using them again. read more

I Love this place! I have brought many items that needed to be dry cleaned, and seams that needed to be sewn. Everything was done well and at a fair cost. I won a WWII pea coat on Ebay that hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The wool was dirty and there were random stains all over the coat. I brought it to Orchard and told them to give it a good cleaning. When I came to get it, it looked and felt like the coat was brand new! The wool was soft and the stains were gone. My girlfriend has brought her scrubs and lab coats to this place as well and she always gets them back in a timely matter, crisp and clean! Terrible customer service. I brought a sailor outfit for my son's 2nd year birthday pictures to get dry cleaned here. When I picked it up I noticed they tore a decorative ribbon on the hat and didn't even tell me about it. I noticed when we got to the photo shoot 30 min later. I called them and they said the owner would call me back. It's 3 days later and still no call so I call them again and am told to call in the morning. I love this place. They always do such an amazing job. I brought in one of my favorite dresses and they forgot to get the stains out, but I pointed it out when I went to pick it up and they took care of it right away. They were very nice about it and made sure I was happy. I also brought in a dress shirt that was missing a cuff-link type button to it, which I had lost a while ago. When I picked up the shirt, I notice that I had me a new cufflink, out of nice buttons and it was very close in size and color to my original one. Came into Orchid Cleaners on the corner of Molino and Broadway, received exceptional service, and walked out with my dress looking better than it did than when I first bought it. I absolutely love this place and the owners! Very friendly and warm and they do their best to remember all of their customers who come through. They also give you a ticket with all of your items listed along with the prices so you know what you'll be paying. I'll definitely be returning anytime I'm in the Long Beach area! After Paramount Cleaners closed i l decided to use there services. They charged me $51 for cotton curtain, which only cost $34 to purchase and never told me the price. Then they charged $79 for 3 dresses, 4 scarfs and 1 skirt. They were utterly rude, when the Bill was $131. Told him this is outrageous and he said you should have known. I got home and contacted them, asking to at least drop the curtain to half of that, as i have had my Persian Carpet cleaned for $40, which should be more and he hung up on me. I would advise not to use there services. Horrible service and threatened me if i would submit a complaint. I did so with the better business bureau.. read more

When I started coming here I think it may have been under different management or ownership - there were some sketchy individuals working here and I actually had a dress go missing once. But ever since the current family took over I have nothing but good things to say! High quality service for a fair price. I am confused by the reviews saying that the owners aren't friendly - they always greet me with a big smile and offer to carry my things to my car. They know my name and number by heart and my items are always clean and pristinely packaged. I recently brought them my all-white king size comforter that had become quite dirty and they did a fantastic job! They were concerned that they weren't able to get all the stains fully out but I was so impressed when I got home- looks like new. Nothing but good things to say about this place. read more
