Their service is generous with correct advice on how to wash whites at home etc. A favorite jacket was dry cleaned along with a garment stinking of perfume. I was so furious. Took all my work trousers in for dry cleaning/hemming after putting it off for months. Girl at the counter was distracted while helping me, which already made me feel uneasy. Got 2 pairs back at the correct length, and the other 2 ridiculously short. When I came in to see how they got it so wrong, they blamed me, but promised they could lengthen them. I waited another week, and when I picked them up, they were still too short and the stitch-work was overall awful. I finally asked for a refund (for just the two pairs), and was told by Lydia that she needed to "get both sides of the story" before contacting corporate and requesting a refund. Frustrated, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and agreed to her phony process. When she finally called back, she left a voicemail and thought she hung up, but I could still hear. Lydia, who is the manager, was talking rudely about me to another employee, and blaming me for their huge mistake. I heard her say she wouldn't refund me, thus proving the "corporate approval" policy was BS. The trousers are not sold anymore, and thus irreplaceable. Foasberg on Broadway thoroughly ruined my clothes and offered nothing to make it right. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, use the tailor services offered here. I had two pair of new work slacks that I bought at Macy's tailored (only shortening the length) here. I tried them on and the seamstress pinned the pants. Well I know we had torrential rains in LA a couple of weeks ago, but I don't want my pants looking like I'm expecting floods all year round! Disappointingly, both pair of pants were about a quarter inch to a half inch too short! I'm having them redo it, but if the crease is apparent, this dissatisfied customer is going to be very very upset! Lessons Learned...never use the tailoring services at a dry cleaners/laundry service....go to a tailor for tailoring needs! I've also waited in the longest lines here to either drop or pick up my laundry. They've also misplaced my shirts on a couple of occasions. Absolutely terrible work and God awful costumer service to match! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Sent very expensive drapes to be dry cleaned and pressed. Dropped off in normal appreance, and what I received was absolute trash (picture of trashed drapes to follow). It's quite obvious they DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PRESS DRAPES. That's regarding the work. As for the customer service, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I was passed around several times. Well the outcome is yet unkown and i will update my review once it has been addressed. The issue: i brought in a brand new beautiful Black Anne Taylor dress that i have only worn twice to be cleaned. It was returned more grey then black and has some odd white powder or dust type residue ALL over the dress. And in the back by the zipper is a large amount of this white residue. I called and spoke to Mr Martinez who stated to bring it in and he will see what he can do. He stated sometimes people bring in damaged items. Yes sometimes people do. This was not one of those cases. The dress is brand new and has been worn only twice. I am crossing my figers they will be able to return the dress to its original BLACK state possibly with dye. Currently I am very sad about this. I did not read the reviews prior to dropping off my dress. This company seems to have some serious issues with customer satisfaction. I have been going here for a few years, NOT ANYMORE! I have a nice blouse they press with the front open. It has happened 7 times now. They say it won't happen but it does. She put a giant safety pin in it to stop it. It helped but left holes! Also I picked up another blouse and pulled it our to wear, they didn't even press the sides!! They can get ANYTHING out! I was bummed I bought this Lululemon neon long sleeve that kept getting stains - and it should be so easy to clean in the washing machine. My second stain was from holding a dumbbell at my chest (maybe grease?). It's a delicate jersey so the first pass using their regular methods didn't suffice BUT Lydia was kind enough to try again and soaked it/cleaned it - I can't see anything of where that stain was now! Since this place came under new management, Barbara has tightened the hatches on this ship! They have always done a great job with my clothes, and always ask me when I need my clothes by. I try to be reasonable, but the few times I have needed a two or three day job, Barbara never hesitated to make it happen for me. Super convienent "in and out" parking so you dont have to wait for a meter or walk a mile just to drop of clothes.
