Stopped in the other day on impulse. Order and Chaos is clearly one of the "features" of the Federal Hill, and Fort McHenry area. I ordered the "Almond Joy", and oh, my... I just sighed, and relaxed, and soaked it in. Delicious, and perfect... My husband and I stopped by Saturday morning since after the airport. I had seen pictures on instagram and knew I had to come for a picture. Got the picture, but didn't love our drinks and the walking waffle sounds amazing yet it's just a waffle with Nutella (the topping I picked) smeared on it. I had a matcha latte and my husband had pour over coffee. My drink was a chalky texture and I can make better matcha lattes at home. Have been meaning to get here for awhile and finally headed over here today. I work from home a lot, so I'm always looking for a good coffee shop. Order & Chaos has good coffee, decent workspace, and great wifi, but the ambiance was just strange. I literally felt like I was at someone else's workplace. The concept of being surrounded by an ad agency is interesting but made me feel really out of place. Workers kept going in and out of this back door which lead to the company workplace. I felt like I was in their private coffee shop. Maybe the fact that I went in on a sunny Tuesday afternoon had something to do with it (I guess those who didn't have to work were outside)? I'll definitely give this place another try because the coffee was good and the employees were really nice, but the atmosphere is def weird for getting work done. read more

Okay, these guys just made the most phenomenal pumpkin americano I've ever tasted in my entire life- and believe me, I've tried many places. I don't love super sweet drinks, so I usually get just an americano with cream & cinnamon. They struck THE PERFECT balance of adding pumpkin while not making the drink too sweet. Came here to take out 2 croissants. I had to wait outside for them. 20 min passed and everyone after me got their coffee and food.. the woman that took my order saw me multiple times when delivering the coffee to the people after me. Then when everyone was gone she saids she forgot about me. She grabbed the two croissants that were on the entrance table wrapped with plastic paper put them inside a bag and hand them to me. Like seriously? Is this some sort of joke? She could have done this when i ordered!!! Instead she PURPOSELY let me wait 20 min outside. I thought she was warming up the croissants but obviously i was wrong. I used to love this place. But people like that just ruin the vibe. If you hate ur job and hate people then quit..!! On top of it i asked for a refund with my receipt and she tried to fool me again giving me the paper with the order not the refund.. anyways! Don't waste time here! I've been waiting so long to try this place and I finally made it. As a coffee lover and addict, I'd say I have pretty high standards for coffee shops. My only concern was that when we got there, I asked the cashier how she was doing and she seemed a little unfriendly, but eventually softened up. My boyfriend and I got cappuccinos and they came out pretty quickly at the right temperature. The coffee was strong, but not bitter. We also split a blueberry muffin, which was a little dry, but it was nice and hot since they offered to heat it up. It was cool being able to see into the business office next door. The ambiance is nice in there and it's right near the harbor, so it feels Baltimore chic. I'll be back for sure to try a latte or maybe their waffles, which looked delicious! read more

The fact that parking for 2 hours costed only 50 cents was already a win for me. This place had an urban hipster feel to it and it sits nearby the water and a not-so-sketchy part of Baltimore haha. Perfect place to study, so I'll definitely be back! But the girl who took my order didn't seem very welcoming. Maybe she was tired since they had an hour till closing. read more

This coffee place has one of the best coffees I've tasted. I usually drink strong coffee so it matched my liking. I had the waffle which was chewy, soft and delectable. Also, I tasted the cinnamon bun where is was huge and tasteful! Definitely will be back here again! read more

I actually re-signed into yelp to write this review. Coffee is good, but STEER CLEAR OF THE FOOD. I got a chocolate chip muffin and declined to have it heated (because I was in a hurry). When I reached into my bag while sitting in traffic to have a quick nibble of that delicious muffin top, IT WAS A STONE COLD BRICK. Like it had been in a fridge. Gross. I got a dirty chai latte and they let the almond milk steam for way too long. I had to go to my boyfriend's sister's wedding after and my throat was gurgling out loud during the entire ceremony. It took me like two hours to finally get the gas out of my body. I ended up going to the bathroom and trying to make myself throw up just to feel better. This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops in Baltimore. I used to go through and pay for the Fort McHenry tunnel, just to go here. However, they changed their coffee providers 3 times in the past year. I loved the coffee that they had over a year ago. In my opinion, it was the best in the city. Unfortunately, some months ago, they changed to a coffee called "Passenger" from Lancaster. This coffee wasn't good at all, so they recently changed to another coffee company, which, in my opinion, is down right bad. It was almost undrinkable. Hopefully, they'll change again soon, before they're put out of business. read more

There's space in the back with 4 or 5 tables and also a white board, which is great for group work. Usually pretty quiet place to work as well. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The interior walls are glass so you can watch the happenings inside the offices of Planit. Do yourself a favor and pick up a walking waffle. Try it plain the first time. Order & Chaos has glass walls with an ad agency on the other side meaning the store is very bright and gives you interesting people watching. I have gotten an aeropress coffee, a mocha, and a "walking waffle" (a sweet fresh-made Belgian waffle about four inches long, quite good). The time I went on the weekend the had a variety of other nice-looking pastries. Although they close early (3 on weekends, 4 on weekdays) when I was there at 4 on a Wednesday they specifically told me I didn't have to leave, but they were turning off the coffee machines.
