I called looking to rent at Lincoln City Oregon. JJ picked up ask if I have ID and an income I said yes. I asked if he can show us a couple places he said yes and will call us back in a hour. So 2 hours goes by with no call back. When I called it went to voicemail several times. I finally got ahold of the general manager that said it was our fault and we probably miss understood him. It's a shame the Oregon Coast Property Management lets neighbors scream and cuss at me repeatedly. The first time was over a maintenance issue, the neighbor called while I was at work screaming and cussing at me. This last time she came knocking to let me know there are dead body's buried next to the unit. That there are cameras recording me in my residence and that the girl who rented before me died in there. I did report this to the property management but no one has gotten back to me. Do I think it's concerning? Most definitely but also abusive. It's a shame they get all the pretty properties to rent out. Any communication I've had with staff has actually been teeth pulling misery, they don't listen and go on and on about stuff that doesn't concern me. read more

We're attempting to find a place along the Oregon coast to rent and attempted to get aligned with a PM to assist in this. FYI. We have excellent credit and are more than qualified financially. Well, when we did get through to this office, to say they were unhelpful would be an understatement. Examples: Can we prequalify so that when a place come up for rent we can jump on it? No Can you reach out to the owner to see if they can make an exception on a dog cause their place has been sitting vacant for two months and we're ready to rent now? No Can we FaceTime a walk through as we are out of state and can't get there easily? No Apparently property management is a hobby here. read more

As a homeowner and used this company less than one year. Not what we had hoped for, as this company has too many properties for one individual to be managing. Dan is a very nice man but he has way too much area to cover and too many properties for the customer service care needed. My renter hated the online portal system as we were not a fan either. When we were trying to figure out our banking records, this company could not get our thousands of dollars of money into our account for weeks. They had my husband's banking account information from day one as they could not correct this issue and get our tenants rent into his account. It took them weeks and weeks to figure out their issue and it was all them and their account of this situation is 100% false and inaccurate. If I called their office, no live person answering the phones ever. Their phone system is absolutely terrible and again there is no live person answering calls ever. We were hiring them to rent out one of our other long term properties that we just acquired recently. I decided to take over some showings if needed as it seemed like showings were ONLY happening at our house every Thursday at 3:30pm. I was trying to bump up interest on our end as much as possible because months went by with the house still empty and not rented. Our home is an ocean view 3 bedroom home and a full remodel reflecting the monthly rent. Absurd that they use this an an excuse for not doing their job and again showings were occurring only once a week if that. I handed many leads over to this company that I set up online. There were zero follow ups on scheduled appointments directly as the potential renter never came because no one called them to confirm the appointment. After speaking directly to the owner of OCPM about this lack of communication issue with the last showing, the owner actually let us go as clients. I never swore or cussed at the owner or anyone from that company. The owner simply did not want to hear about any issues nor was he interested in seeing the text from the potential renter directly. He was just agitated and rude on the phone and doesn't handle listening to issues about his company apparently. The text shared how this potential renter was only trying to confirm his showing with Dan. No one from their office bothered to call him back as he never came to see the home. This person was not in their portal system. I resent the accusation that I acted unprofessionally but in fact it was the other way around. The owner wanted to end the relationship on a property that we had only 4 months left with our renter. I was only under the impression he was cutting ties for only the NEW rental home. Nope. He was terminating the entire relationship including the lease they were collecting 10% fee every month. Ridiculous. The owner of this company, (not Dan) I find to be so disrespectful, unprofessional and rude and now I will add liar to the list. He has no care for running this business as the the owner did not to want to hear my grievances or anything negative that was occurring. I was simply trying to explain to the owner how no one called my lead. Multiple calls and voicemails were made to their office but no one ever called him back. The owner kept going back to saying that " I don't see any phone calls on a call log list" or not in the online portal system. This showing was set up because I found the potential renter not OCPM. Not sure how many potential renters we lost because of their lack of direct communication with people directly. Their "super special" phone system is not super at all. We are delighted glad ties were cut with OCPM as we have moved onto a phenomenal management company in Nelscott. Did I mention our NEW property management company got our home rented in a matter of days! I will never be recommending OCPM to anyone I know. read more

You might want to do business w/ a property management company that hires people to answer the phones when you call and make appointments with you by phone who engage in professional behavior. Completely unreasonable rental terms, as a case manager I would make this my last resort for any consumer, asking for a credit score of 600+ and 10yrs free of any convictions and then telling the renter they will find out if they qualify is application theft, they stated they pay 35 dollars for background check when the software is usually rented for a year or more at a time, this is all about taking as many applications as they can and pocketing application fees. This is a classic example of companies using passive aggressive extortion to make you pay unreasonable amounts of money for your most basic human right. read more

This is a horrible company, my wife and I filled out an application 70.00 only to be declined due to error in Credit report. I received mine back saying I had Criminal record. I assure you I have never been in trouble with any body. I cannot stress enough I have never been in trouble before and this really hurts to be falsely accused. My last name is Smith so they did not do a good check. I also have wrong info on my credit report??? I tried calling the company they use but they will not answer phone. I called Oregon Coast Property Management then for 3 days left messages and got no return call. Meanwhile I called again today and hit the prompt to act like a property looking for a property management company and they picked up on second ring. He was an arrogant @&$@&. I am very upset to be falsely accused and am only looking to clear my name!!! He did not care and said I was being rude (I probably was due to no reply for 3 days) I am not writing this due to being declined, we have a better place to live anyway. I just want my name cleared and everyone know including potential properties thinking of letting these guys represent them, think twice!! They do not care about you are your property!! Very non-responsive!! Falsely accusing I will continue until I get my name cleared and get correct report!!! I would not rent from them if they were last place on earth!!! If you have or need a storage unit, please go elsewhere. I have made my payments and everytime it's late they they add 45 dollars. Now, i make the payment and due to be being on a extremely tight budget sometimes I have to wait and pay the 84 on the next payday. Money don't grow on trees. I'm not sure if it is dishonesty, ineptitude, or lack of care for the people they are looking to rent to but this is not a company I would do business with. 1. After repeated attempts to set up a showing through the online portal inquired via email with Dan Butler on a listed rental when moving to the area as well as gave a quick rundown of what we were looking for. Was told the one we asked about was no longer available and referred back to website to look for others. Cool, maybe a little effort to earn my business would have been nice or a "welcome to the Oregon coast, I can't wait to help you find a place!" Nope, go check out our difficult to navigate website and let us know when you want to send us money for doing nothing to help you find a place. 2. After struggling to find a place before we got the coast decided to stay with some family while we looked for a permanent place. They rent through Oregon Coast PM so they asked Dan Butler what needs to be done to get us added to the lease as non-responsible tenants. Told to fill out applications at $35 a pop only to find out that Dan never cleared the living situation with the landlord so a few months after completing what we were told was needed to be added to lease Oregon Coast PM sends a "violation" notification because the owner found out. When pressed and provided the backup that we followed THEIR instructions finally yielded that "well we have an obligation to the owner". Cool, so why did you take our money without running the situation by the owner first? Why didn't you say something after you received the applications and confirming that you had what you needed? Their solution? "Well the people can stay but they have to get rid of the pups." Are you serious?! 3. The home they "take care of" has notes on all the fixtures you can't use because either they or the owner have decided to not fix them. So I guess if you want to sleep with the blinds open in the bedroom that has the "do not use" post it note on the broken blinds or not use the deck that is so badly rotted it's not safe to stand on you're welcome to. Moral of the story seems to be that Oregon Coast PM doesn't need to provide a good service to renters in a super compressed rental market so they don't as long as they are making money for their owners. read more
