I used to have Dr. Jill Chaplin as my doctor. She retired and they referred me to Kelly Son while I was with Jill. She got me on Ozempic because of my weight and I have severe back issues. We thought that if I got some of the weight off, it would help assist with my back issues. I ended up losing about 40 pounds with Ozempic. Yes it helped some with the back pain then at that time I was using a special payment assistance program from nova to assist in the Ozempic so I wasn't paying anything then 2026 hit and they no longer cover that program. I'm not sure I understand but I did have D in my insurance and nothing was said now they won't approve it because I have D so that does not make any sense to me. Plus they're not covering that program anymore. We're mark comes in is that he has bent over backwards call after call to nova and to me trying to get things figured out I can't tell you how much time he has put into just my insurance and Ozempic plan. I know that there are hundreds of patients out there, he made me feel like I was the only patient he had. I feel like Mark should get some kind of recognition for this outstanding job he has done. Went in for Medicare free annual wellness visit in December 2015. Everything was okay until early…read more2017 when I got a bill from Peace Health for the $358. Medicare paid nothing. Called Peace Health Patient Financial Services several times attempting to straighten it out. Each time they said they would do something, but they never did. Instead they sent a new copy of the bill about a month later. The last time I talked to them they said to call Medicare. I did and Medicare said that Dr. Laurie's office had coded the purpose of the visit wrong. I called Peace Health and told them what Medicare said. Peace Health said they would talk to Medicare. They didn't and instead sent me another copy of the bill. Out of frustration I called Dr. Laurie's office direct and asked for their help straightening it out. They said that although they had coded the visit wrong there was nothing they could do about it and that I would have to talk to Peace Health. I asked to talk to the supervisor at Dr. Laurie's office and was put on hold and then disconnected. What a nightmare! I paid my medical insurance premiums, saw the doctor for a covered visit, the doctor or others at his office coded it wrong and then Medicare refused to pay the bill because it was coded wrong and Peace Health won't do anything but continue to send me bills. Never, Never, NEVER trust this doctor/office!

I have REPEATEDLY asked them to stop calling and wanting to talk to my wife "Louis". Fools can't even pronounce Lois. Also I keep reporting them to the "Do Not Call" people. I block one number, only to have them call back from another number. MEDICAL SCAMMERS, is how I identify them. If these calls are coming from your business, STOP CALLING! I WILL KEEP REPORTING THESE CALLERS UNTIL THEY STOP! I'VE RESEARCHED YOUR BUSINESS TITLE AND I'M FOWARDING THE INFORMATION TO THE DO NOT CALL PEOPLE. Voices on the phone are male and female, most have a foreign accent and are sometimes hard to understand they sound like the voice on the Simpsons that sound like the Kwikie Mart store owner Apu. Asked them once to stop calling and the response was "Good Luck". Last time they called I put my phone in a metal pan and beat on the pan with a mallet. They hung up. STOP CALLING US!

There have been several times I went to him, he dismissed me, and I was in the ER the next morning where ER Dr's were astounded that I was sent away. I was on an SSRI during pregnancy and he told me, 8 months pregnant that I was a "horrible mother" for my choice. I was trying to work with him to have a plan in place for postpartum depression. Left me without controlled medication when I was already out, to only call a half script in when I asked for it to be documented that he was doing such. I beg people, if you are ACTUALLY sick; go to anyone else! Men are probably fine to see Yeh. I believe wholeheartedly he is a smart man and should be working only in a hospital setting where there's no bedside manner needed. The nurses in the back of the Santa Clara location are almost just as bad, horrible attitudes all of the time. There was ONE MA, Stephanie that would call you out if needed but had compassion and empathy. The front desk staff are all very kind and always do the extra mile without hesitation. I am not inherently a negative person, I hate sounding so mean. But it has been a source of a lot of anxiety anytime I have had to be seen. I want other women to know this man does not care, too many patients too little time.

They basically butted heads and were not a good fit. By the time she was able to find another PCP who would listen to her, that PCP said well lets get an Xray, finding she had Lung Cancer and then on to an MRI, finding she also had brain cancer, but it was to late and she passed away 8 weeks later. I was so blown away, he just kept telling her there's nothing wrong with you, you're just getting older and will have these complaints. My Daughter who has Autism, also saw him for a time and the communication, was ridiculous. He didn't get her and she didn't get him. I finally was able to get her another PCP as well and move on. He's rude and dismissive. He would get very irritated if he had to go the extra mile to diagnose, which would possibly saved my Mother's life. Disgusting.

She does a great job, and what really wins me over is that she explains everything really well. She's not afraid to get into the biomechanics and biology of things, and doesn't try to dumb things down or wave anything off. I have a far better understanding of what's going on in my ankle and foot, and then she explains the techniques she's using, what they do, how it works, and so on. I've seen a couple other PT's in town, and now I know where I'll be returning if I need one again.
