After he left we noticed that the porcelain in our tub had a couple new chips right around the drain. When we inquired with Josh about any suggestions to repair it, he immediately responded that this had likely occurred when he was taking out the old drain, but he'd had his drop cloth covering. Our disposal started leaking Saturday night. I did a quick Yelp search and found Oregon Plumbing. I requested a quote on Yelp and Josh provided an estimate within 10 minutes. The quote consisted of his estimated time and the price of a disposal. I vetted out both his time estimate and price for the disposal and both checked out. Quick and professional service. Approximately 25 year old electric water heater dip tube disintegrated and we needed a replacement water heater. I had an issue with a shower valve leak from the 2nd floor bathroom down to the 1st floor near the front door of my house. I called several highly rated plumbers found online and ultimately went with Josh at Oregon Plumbing. Reviews were correct. He came on time and was very personable. He didn't try to waste time or tack on other things that need to be fixed. He answered all my questions and tried his best to make the most minimally invasive cuts into the sheet rock as I did not want multiple holes of sheet rock ripped apart just to find the leaking issue. He also was clean and didn't create a mess that I needed to clean up after the work was complete. Everything was done well and I'm glad I found him. It's been a couple weeks now and everything is still working great and no further issues. I was very impressed with the quick response when I requested a quote to purchase and install a new water heater. We handled the scheduling and down payment by texting and online payment. I had a very bad leaking hot water handle in a very old poorly set up shower/tub combo. All plumbing for it faced the outside wall of the house. So no access to the plumbing works. Josh was set to come fix it on the 6th of Dec. He was right on time, pleasant and a hard fast worker. He figured out how to fix plumbing and put all new hardware in fixing my troubles. It didn't take as long as thought and ended up being cheaper then the bid. I mentioned Yelp but forgot to ask for 10% discount, but with the great efficient job he did, I don't think I cared anymore. I live in an old house with many troubles, several plumbing issues and will schedule him again for more work in the future as I get $ saved. We had to have new washing machine water valves installed. This required removing the old water faucets that were installed on copper piping. I used Yelp to find a plumber last Sunday and sent requests out to about five plumbers via yelp. Within about a half hour Josh had responded to my request. He told me when he would be available and gave me his hourly rate. I gave Josh the work and we agreed on a day and time. Josh had to change my faucets from soldered copper to pex piping. This required removing the old housing with the two faucets and the drain and installing a new housing, soldering the new pex adapters on to the copper piping. He also had to cut a larger access area into the drywall to accomplish his work. Josh was very careful removing the drywall and completing his work. He was careful to save the piece of drywall and replace it requiring a minimal amount of finish work on my part. Josh took pride in his work. He cleaned up after himself. He notified me via text message letting me know when he would arrive. He arrived on time. He was personable. He didn't waste time. I will be recommending Oregon Plumbing to all my friends and family. When we discovered a soggy patch in our front yard on a Sunday afternoon and realized our water meter was spinning off the charts, we knew we were facing a likely catastrophic situation. After researching options I contacted Oregon Plumbing, who called back promptly on Sunday night within an hour of me leaving a message, and scheduled Josh to come out the very next day. Josh arrived and quickly determined our entire water main between the meter and the house needed to be replaced, and he took all action necessary to get a new line installed and hooked up by the end of the day, less than 24 hours after the initial detection. Josh also arranged for the necessary permit and inspections. Throughout the entire process Josh and Mimi were consistently kind, professional, and prompt in their responses.
