Second project with Nathaniel and Brass Monkey Plumbing. This was adding a utility sink in the garage. Involved tapping hot and cold water lines as well as running the drain pipe about 30-35' through the crawl space to the main house drain pipe. They took extra care to not damage new crawl space duct work and secure the sink to the wall for better stability. Exactly what I wanted - don't have to use the bath tub to clean up after painting! Project took about 4 hours plus another 30 minutes to come back after it passed inspection. Fair priced as always.

Now that the door was installed I want to say the shower is fantastic. Thanks for a job well done.

I want to thank all of you at Brass Monkey for making our project turn out so well. Everyone was so wonderful to work with. They worked hard and were very professional & efficient. We had a problem with damaged shower panels, and they took care of it in a timely manner. We love the new shower. We will be using Brass Monkey in the future for a couple of other projects that we intend to do and (heaven forbid) if we have any plumbing problems, they will be our go to company. And will recommend them to friends and family. Thanks to everyone for a job well done. Aalyiah you were really great to work with. A special thank you to you.

Their quote came in the lowest and Brandon was extremely helpful on the phone, so I ended up choosing them. - The quote process was great: I submitted their online form, they gave me a call asking for more details, I sent them a few pictures, and they gave me another call with solutions and a quote. The quote also happened to be the cheapest of the 3 companies I got bids from. - The installation went very smoothly. I understand that direct vent water heaters are a little tricky to install, but Brandon installed perfectly. He arrived on time, got rid of our old water heater, and added a new water heater with several fixes: the overflow pipe now runs to the sink, he used a "flex vent" kit so the water heater can sit on the ground, and he put the water heater in a tray to reduce issues from slow leaks since I don't have a basement drain. - After the install, Brandon taught me how to change the temp / turn the water heater off / how to flush it / how to change the anode rod. Very pleased with the work and my new water heater is working flawlessly. The only downside was that there was no permit. I'm no expert on permits. Portland's website says that water heater changes require a permit. Brandon said it's a "gray area" for residential. I am not planning on selling the house and things looked good to me, so I don't mind too much.

It has continued to work effectively, has never broken down and the associated electric bills are much lower than a standard central AC/heating system. The annual maintenance ensures that the system is well maintained and if needed, it also covers any "unexpected" problems that may occur. Sky's technicians have all been outstanding! Kaylah who performed this year's maintenance was no exception! Would highly recommend!

After the Sky technician had spent much time looking at my furnace , I was being pressured to buy also a new furnace in order to make sure the ac compressor and condense coils will be able to work properly. While my furnace has just been checked and tuned a year ago and was working great, I was not convinced by such pressurized cross-selling tactics of the Sky technician. It was a lot more than what I want to spend and thus no deal. The story did not end there. When winter came after that meeting with the Sky technician, my furnace seemed working inconsistently. It got on and off frequently and barely blowing out the warm air. Then this second winter begins and the furnace seemed dying with only the first 2 burners lit and not the last burner. I checked on Google and YouTube for the probably cause and discovered that the last burner was off alignment when the flame became unable to hopover and stays on to heat up the air flow. I learnt to fix it DIY in about 15 minutes. I suspect that the furnace was trying to repeat to me the recommendation to replace it by that Sky technician. Beginning with looking at paying a few thousands to add ac to an inflated kill all price quote of way over 10 grants, I am back to square one of not spending a penny on any cautionary tales of salesman. The evaluation service was below expectations and certainly bad sales quality of negative value. Zero trust. Too bad !

Most of them feel it's the thermostat. We are on our 3rd or 4th try of the same thermostat. My husband and one of the technicians said to try a different brand or style. Clearly the one they kept bringing doesn't work with our system. One tech offered to go back and get the other type. Dispatch said NO. It wasn't in the notes. The technician that had been out previously DID put it into the notes, dispatch just didn't include it in the notes to the next team. We reached out to the sales person Steve. He said he was going to make sure we had someone out this weekend (Memorial Day weekend). He even said he talked with the VP and it would be handled. So we changed our weekend plans. My husband missed a Memorial Ceremony honoring my uncle in Eugene. We didn't hear from them. A courtesy call to say they wouldn't be out would have been better than the empty promises we have been given. Years ago we used them. We probably won't in the future. But what do they care. They have my $17K.
