Stopped in on Christmas Eve for some last minute gluten free treats. There were lots of great options in the case and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We picked up a loaf of soft white bread, a chocolate peanut butter cluster (like a large no bake cookie) and a molasses cookie. Everything tasted great. The bread is a little solid and dry which is typical in f gluten free - so definitely needs some butter or other topping and probably warmed or toasted. Inside the shop is counter service or drive through. There were no seats. There are a few seats on the sidewalk outdoors for over weather. They have a deli menu but we didn't try anything's. Really appreciate the many gluten free and vegan options as we have family with Celiacs. Would definitely try again when we are in the area. read more

Once upon a time this was the only place around Toledo to get a gf treat, along with the absolute best homemade gf wraps which was great. Unfortunately the time intensive wraps were discontinued and the nature and quality of gf items has fallen a bit old school (terrible taste of bean flour for example) as well as the ambiance. My egg sandwich was simply egg, cheese, spinach, dry and lacking taste. There is much potential here that is not being realized. read more

They have a nice array of sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, and juices. All sandwiches come with of several side salads, can be made warm, or cold, and are offered with a selection of bread options- soft white, multigrain, millet, or rye. The baked selection is expansive and you won't be disappointed if indulging in a treat. Trust me, gluten free baked goods can definitely be iffy & these were all a home run! Delish!!! My only complaint aside from some nicer ambiance dining (hey, a girl can dream right? Even for no-frills this was hardly a serious drawback), is that I'd love to see all organic, non-GMO produce. I won't be back. I had driven by this Shop multiple times and saw their board by the road asking customers to stop by for breakfast. Of course, I wanted to try it. Their sign on the shop clearly said they opened at 7am. It was past 8am when I stopped by - CLOSED. The door was locked and 2 employees were inside staring out at me. They didn't have any sign posted on the door or outside saying that they had an emergency and was opening late -nothing. Nor did either of the employees inside come to the door and say hey thanks for stopping by but this is why we are not opened. If there is some special secret handshake to get in, need to climb down the chimney or go through a drive-thru to get in, then for crying out load please say so. They had multiple pieces of paper plastered to their front door that I had no idea which one to read first. It was distracting enough trying to figure out where to look let alone deciphering what their secret to getting food was if the front door wasn't open when it said Open. After returning to my office and telling colleagues about it - I basically was told by those who live in Sylvania that this place of business is a joke and they go by their own rules. You can basically ignore their hours because they don't follow them. I wish someone would have told me this before so I could have saved myself some time this morning. My time in the morning is precious to me and I can not support a business that just wings it. My and my hubby stopped in here for lunch after hearing great things about it. We both had the falafel sandwich on a spinach wrap, along with some potato salad on the side and coconut bars for dessert. The portions were large, and absolutely delicious! It was one of the best falafels I have ever tasted. The veggies were so fresh and the wrap was amazing. Worth every cent! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for good organic food. The food is always authentic and amazing. Everything tastes as it should, and you're going to be happy with the selection. Their vegan cupcakes, cakes, and other baked goods are the best in Toledo, and their food is a huge hit at parties. My only complaints are that I wish they would just be 100% plant-based, and I wish they had a bigger location that was more friendly for dining inside. In a world of few gluten free baked good options this place is perfect! First -- the baked goods are delicious! And the sweet breads they make like cinnamon and zucchini bread fooled my husband into thinking he was eating gluten. That says something. Second -- the hot ham and cheese sandwich on GF bread and the unique sides are also just as pleasing to the palate. My excitement for ordering hot ham and cheese was only increased by taking my first bite! The pre-made desserts have NEVER let me down, but now to the downsides. A gluten free strawberry cake with strawberry frosting that was ordered for my birthday, was without question the worst gluten free cake I have ever had in my entire life of being a diagnosed celiac. I'm not exaggerating in any way either (which pains me). Maybe it was a fluke, but we will never place another order again. The cake was $40 and was actually thrown out the same day -- so disappointing. The only other downside is a few staff members that clearly hate their job. Well I ordered a wrap only to find a long brown hair embedded in the wrap and blatantly sticking out of the wrap. First thing I noticed upon opening the box. How they didn't see this is beyond me. As I walked back to the restaurant to ask for a new one I did not feel welcome and the box was supposedly thrown away. Well no less than five min later my apparent new chicken wrap was returned to me. From the appearance it looked like the same bag the,same box and my side of hummus which has always been taken From the front counter was not. I'm sure they did not toss my hairy wrap and just re wrapped the old one and returned everything as it was. I've been to this bakery many times for many things (breakfast wrap on bread, smoothie, many desserts) but I recently special-ordered pumpkin cupcakes for my son's birthday and they were unbelievable. Soft, flavorful, with the perfect cream cheese frosting. They were just as good as normal gluten cupcakes. My other favorite is the coconut macaroons with chocolate on top. Decadent. Yes, I said gluten-free and Toledo in the same sentence. Everything here is a-ok and 100% safe for those with celiac disease and those that are gluten intolerant. I'm a big fan of the brownie - it has almost a coffee/espresso like taste to it, is fairly dense, and delicious. While the prices are not what you would expect from a bakery department in a grocery store, you get what you pay for here (If you've shopped gluten-free you know it isn't cheap and already pay a premium for it, so it is to be expected that it might cost a bit more than normal baked goods). The food is natural, healthy and fresh. I haven't tried their bakery items yet, but I've eaten lunch there a few times. It's one of the few places that have gluten-free and dairy-free items in Toledo. The Chicken Pita is amazing and their dressing is yummy! I've also tried the Roast Beef and it was pretty good. They have a ton of vegetarian items as well. They give you sides with each entree and the macaroni salad is my favorite. I love this place. Pam is amazing, so helpful. She answered all my questions and even gave me some helpful tips. For someone like me and my 6 year old with a gluten sensitivity this place is a blessing. My 6 year old is able to eat cupcakes that taste great and do not have a weird texture or after taste. The Rueben Tuesday is a great choice. I drive a little ways to get here and my first thought was I wouldn't be able to drive here often. Soy and sugar are in the salads, which is not healthy. The salmon burger I bought had brown lettuce and a semi burnt bun. In all it wasn't worth 8 bucks. Service was not welcoming or friendly. The cashier was nice to a few regulars, but for some reason he was not very kind to me. Very disappointing for my first time eating there and I really wanted to love this place! I wasn't offered a drink, asked if I wanted to dine in/out or a substitute seeing I did not want a salad. Though I would've been charged extra had I wanted avocado on my burger. Which I get that, but considering I didn't want a salad, you would think its a fair trade? (Because the price of the sandwich comes with a free salad.) I always hate feeling like an establishment will charge you extra for any and everything, but in situations like this can't see the value in giving you an item at equal cost of the thing you don't want. Organic Bliss has high quality food and bakery items that have kept me coming back time and time again. It's a great place to pick up a freshly juiced drink or a gluten free meal. Depending on what day it is, there are a variety of freshly made side dishes. My favorite is the potato salad. I love the gluten free wraps and fresh made hummus too. My pick from the sweets is the Vegan Carrot Cupcake-gluten and dairy free. There's also very yummy Peanut Butter cookies. It's great to be able to get a gluten free meal, pick up some deli side dishes for later and finish off with dessert. They even have a drive through window now. Maybe I'll see ya there! read more

Worst dining experience in Sylvania! Definitely not the mentality to cater to the "healthy minded" individual or those with specific dietary needs. Hostile, volatile and rude chef. Incapable of thinking outside the box, even for the most basic request, such as a bowl of lettuce. After ordering cupcakes and sandwiches for my children, they literally gave me a single handful of lettuce on a cupcake plate and called it an ala cart lettuce for $3.50. When I asked very politely if that was really all I was getting for $3.50 the chef stormed out and proceeded to scream at me and my children ranging from the "extreme burden" in requesting if a bowl of lettuce was possible and not ordering off the menu (the first suggestion the server had was that I order a regular salad for $7 and hold everything except the lettuce, which I said, it's no problem I can always pick up some lettuce for myself after my kids eat). Then ranted about the fact that I parked next to another car in a wrong space (in terrestrial rain at a new place). Needless to say, we will NEVER EVER come back, nor recommend you to anyone. My children finished their meal, because unlike you sir, I don't believe in making huge dramatic scenes in front of small children. I am so disappointed. Came here the first time and it was awesome. Came here today and it was not so awesome. I got a gluten free veggie wrap. Out of gluten free wraps (ok, well I don't care because I'm not intolerant I just try to stay away from it) still trying to stay away from gluten, I was like ok, gluten free bread is good! And then the chef complains to the server, "this is going to be reeeeal messy" - seriously? It's mother trucking vegetables. So then I was like WHATEVER. Like a huge chunk and the wrap was broken with everything falling out of it lol. And the server says to me, the side you ordered...I just gave the whole broccoli dish away to the man that walked in (10 minutes after we ordered) is there another side you want? WHAT? Why? I ordered it first, why couldn't you just put it aside for me? And then she tells me she can't dish out the sides until the main course is ready. Although you could've just saved a bit, I decided...I don't even care. Grape leaves, it is. I'm writing this and literally laughing. I am so confused as to what happened to the first time I came to this place in the early spring to now? Please get your sh*t together, guys. You have SO MUCH POTENTIAL. Stumbled upon this place while biking down the road on my fair trade mountain bike, in my Birkenstocks, snacking on organic granola. They have fresh vege juice! Juiced it right in front...well, I could hear them juicing it (unless it was a clever recording of juicing and they poured it from a container, whipping it for froth). The cup was compostable, so good on them for being environmentally conscious. One thing, I don't believe they have much in the way of Organic/pesticide free products (not sure the locals value that enough to pay the extra $), but it's a start. Glad they're there. read more

AWFUL service. I went thru the drive thru and got 2 meat breakfast wraps. I pay for them and drive away. Before I get off the property I realize there is ham in them, and I cannot eat ham, so I go back to the drive thru and tell them cashier. She then says the new wrap will cost 6.75.......I told her that i only needed a replacement wrap for mine with the ham in it. And that I would give her the old wrap back that was uneaten. She says her manager will not let her refund me...I only wanted a wrap with no ham in it, but they will not replace the food I just bought. So I drive away. Awful customer service, food is bland, and extremely overpriced. Management is awful. DO NOT go here, I know I will never go again. read more
