WOW!!! This was my second time into Rosie's and it remains to be phenomenal!! It has been a while since I have been in, and I was so excited to be back. The food is outstanding and the service and atmosphere is incredible. Our server, Christian, was so helpful with ordering and was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. All of the servers were efficient and the service was great. The bread with oil and sundried tomato is complimentary and outstanding. They even offer you more if you finish your portion of bread. we went ahead and tried the lobster bisque and it was fabulous and definitely one of if not my favorite one I have tried. We also got the homemade Italian sausage as a appetizer and it was loveely. the flavor was great and the sauce was outstanding. the chicken marsala is amazing, and the asiago whipped potatoes are phenomenal. The chicken picatta was light and the perfect amount of flavor. Definitely get the mashed potatoes even if it is a side!!! Definitely go here! read more

It was my second visit to this restaurant with my book club, which today had 14 people seated at a long table in the lovely dining room for lunch. On my last visit, we dined on the patio (which would have been too chilly today). Inside the dining room, I noticed that the booths had drapes that were pulled back on each side. However, I would imagine the drapes could be set loose to create an intimate dining experience for dinner. The ambiance is sophisticated and comfortable at the same time, with Italian accents and artwork. Last time here, I vowed to try their pizza. However, I had pizza yesterday for dinner and opted for a high protein dish of Chicken Piccata. I must give high praise to our server Sheldon. He was the absolute epitome of how to serve a large group with efficiency and good humor. He knew exactly how to "stage" a large group photo far better than I could have attempted given the table setting. He was also extremely organized in taking our orders and serving them to the right people. Let's gush about the food now. A number of our group enjoyed the Mama's Bread appetizer, which looked like cheese bread with a garlic flavor, served with a zesty tomato dipping sauce. That's how it was described and definitely looked delicious. (I didn't try it because I was saving myself for my entree.) We waited a reasonable amount of time for our meals, given the number of people in our party. Sheldon had told me ithe Children Piccata was his favorite entree so I had high hopes. It looked delicious and I was very hungry. Since I tend to order Chicken Piccata at various restaurants, I had a base of comparison. It was a generous portion of chicken served over angel hair pasta, with artichoke hearts and mushrooms. It was very tasty and yet I had hoped for a bit more lemon flavor. It was delicious nonetheless, but more oily than my preference. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed it and took home leftovers, but these factors detracted somewhat from the meal. I tried my best to take pictures of my friends' meals without being too obnoxious, but didn't catch a picture of the Shrimp Risotto that one friend raved about. Another positive comment about Sheldon's professionalism is that he provided us separate checks and kept our checks/credit cards straight. Our experience at Rosie's was very impressive and I highly recommend this restaurant! But be sure to make reservations because it's an understandably popular restaurant, even mid-day. Rosie's is a hidden gem in Toledo! This was my second time visiting and both times were delicious. I love the Mama Bread and the bread with oil and vinegar that is served with every meal. My mom made better chicken parm than I had here recently. Served warm not hot, it was so disappointing for 18.99. For an extra 5.99 I had a good house salad. We did not receive complimentary bread, do t know if they do t do that anymore? We ordered their signature cheese bread which was good. Service was functional at best. I asked for hot tea and they served Lipton. Really, you can't do better than that? Asked for more hot water which was brought without a fresh tea bag or fresh lemon. Had to ask for the tea bag. The standards have really dropped here. I can get better food for $50 at so many restaurants in the area. I won't be back. read more

Ok, Rosie's... Let's talk about it. Rosie's is, normally, a great place to eat with great ambiance and, usually, a great overall experience. But two times in a row... not so much. Ordered lamb chops MEDIUM RARE and salmon, medium. Had the salmon with fettuccine Alfredo. The salmon was super well done and akin to an inedible hockey puck. The lamb chops were tasty, but definitely well done and nowhere close to medium rare. Called the manager very nicely and they very nicely said they'd credit me for two "dinners". Hey, everybody has a bad moment. All good. Threw the salmon away and ate a couple of the super thin well done lamb chops. The next day I want back for the credit and asked for the lamb chops and the salmon to be medium rare. How do you get hard salmon when you order medium rare?!? On a take back?!? Lamb chops were better, but they're so thin they're probably hard to get to a medium rare. Also, I got no pasta with my salmon, despite being told I'd get two "dinners". So I got a lamb chop dinner and one (probably 4oz?) pice of not a hockey puck, but medium well salmon at best. I will absolutely say that this has not been my normal experience at Rosie's. And yes, they are always busy. But please give your takeout the time and attention it deserves. The prices don't go down for takeout. I'll give Rosie's a break for a bit and try again. We celebrated my Mom's birthday at Rosie's on 28May2025. What a joyful restaurant for this occasion! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, the booth was designed that we could have a private meal in a full restaurant on a Wednesday evening in Toledo. There are so many dishes to choose from! You will not be disappointed. The four of us enjoyed our meals and chopped salads. The bread, pasta, seafood and eggplant were all delicious. The cannoli was tasty too! This was a first visit for us and we were disappointed considering what we have heard. First the restaurant is very dusty, probably the dustiest restaurant I've been to. Dust on the ledges, light fixtures and just floating all around in the air. They need a deep clean and an air purifier. Everything we got was just very blah, we could get something more appetizing at another Italian restaurant. We started with the cheese bread and it was good, but we've had better. The chicken Parmesan wasn't bad either but again I've just had much better. I don't think I would come again unless it was for some type of gathering. read more

It has been a while since we were last at this restaurant. The service was polite and reasonable. The flavor of the beef tips fettuccine was overwhelmed by the dijon horseradish sauce, making it an unpleasant dish. The real disappointment came with the bill of $135.00 for two when there was a $3.94 surcharge added for the use of a credit card. Frankly, this is a cost of doing business and should be included in the menu pricing! Even McDonald's and self car washes have figured that out. This was the second unpleasant experience with this establishment and there will not be a third for this person. read more

We were having a going away dinner for our 2 granddaughters who are headed to college! We did not want to be rushed however there was a manager who was trying to force us to leave. Everytime I go here no matter what I get, it's the bomb. I have tried numerous dinner entrees and always the hot mama bread 1/2 with the peppers is a must. If at all possible ask for Sheldon, he is one of the greats. I won't go if it's not with the Sheldon experiece. read more

The group I went with wanted Lamb Chops and was our solo reason for going there. Well, we all ordered and all the food came out except the lamb chops. We asked about it and the bartender said she forgot to put them in and laughed it off. No apology or anything. The other bartender did come over and apologized and asked if she wanted her to ring them in now? We're like forget it at this point. I had a pizza and ate two slices of it. Wasn't good. The sauce was like worm at best and the toppings were ok, nothing great. One of the people we were with ordered a salad and said it was just ok for a salad and a little over priced for the portion size. The other one got a seafood pasta dish and the noodle were stuck together and not even close to being cooked long enough. Overall the experience was not all that great. Would I go back? The food was a poor excuse for Italian cuisine. The herb bread was soft and gummy and "over herbed". The eggplant parmesan was truly the worst. Cut in thick rounds with the bitter skin left on, it was heavily breaded and fried. The pieces were mushy on the outside and still crunchy in the middle. It was covered with watery tomato sauce and cheese which did nothing to hide the tough bitter skin. The side of pasta was very small with the same watery sauce. This was a waste of time and money. A mainstay that is here to stay! The service was outstanding from our waitress, Grace. Friendly, knowledgeable, and catered to all our needs during our visit. The food was outstanding. We had the hot mama bread appetizer (highly recommend if you have little ones in your group), rigatoni, and the signature eggplant parmesan with angel hair pasta. I also got the house side salad that was unique due to the addition of mandarin oranges and cranberry - a delightfully tasty twist to a house salad. Great portion sizes, that left us with delicious leftovers. We were celebrating a family birthday too - if you visit on your birthday and provide your driver's license you will receive a free dessert ( creme brulee was amazing) and a free $10 gift card for your next visit. My main criticism about Rosie's had always been about the inconsistency. However, I will now attest that haven't had a bad meal at Rosie's in about 5 years. Although Italy has over 4700 miles of coastline, I've never thought of sea food as being a particularly prime component of Italian cuisine. That said, at Rosie's, I usually order the "Fresh Catch of the Day." Choose your fish (today I picked grouper), choose your cooking style (for me, "Cajun Key West," a mix of milder Cajun spices and tropical fruits/citrus always satisfies). It comes with fresh veggie medley. The sizing is perfect...I'm always satiated, but never stuffed. Of course Rosie's has pasta, and meal salads, and steaks, and lamb chops, and pizza, etc. I'm a pizza guy, big time, and I've never thought Rosie's pie was that divine. My kids have always like it, though. Also the 'Hot Mama Bread?' Never understood why its so popular. The atmosphere is classic, especially the patio...long live Prince Rogers Nelson. This isn't where I come for craft beer, but the bar area is also a nice place to hang out for appetizers and drinks.
