Definitely worth it. I was not good to my body the day before, and needed all the veggies and protein and colorful things to set my body right and there is plenty to choose from here. I grabbed a ginger kombucha can from the cooler and ordered coconut shrimp on arugula and shredded kale. I could enjoy the kombucha right away indoors, or at one of the outdoor tables while I waited for the shrimp to be cooked and prepared. It took about 15min for food prep, and while I waited, I noticed some people had ordered in advance perhaps online or over the phone and were just dropping in and grabbing their pre-made and pre-paid bags to go- so that's an option if you order ahead and don't want to wait. The salad came out ready to take to go, but I decided to stay in to eat. The shrimp was hot and the salad cool, and it came with extra dressing, which was perfect for the stiffer veggies like cabbage, carrot, and shredded kale.

    And we wait......

Monday afternoon. Order taken, salad and 2 smoothie. Salad comes out and 12 min later still waiting on smoothies. I asked the girl who took order if my smoothie was coming. She said yes and grabbed her purse and walked out the door. ‍ is someone else making it? The delay and lack of ANY ordercy in the back is true chaos. I am getting ready to leave and won't be back. 18 min And still waiting........ Update! Got the salad, Missing the pistachios and no dressing. I went back in again and she said "I'm sorry and it doesn't come with dressing, you had to ask?? Ok so she is brining me the dressing and nuts. Another girl comes to apologize anD says "please understand, we are short staffed" So why did the girl leave after taking my order?? And then she offered me a munchkin. No I just wanted what I ordered correctly within a decent amount of time.

Custom quinoa bowl, lemon herb dressing. From last year (2017), when they filled the bowls with more food. Now they fill them with less.

2020 edit: I hate to write a review like this but a few months ago I went to this Amagansett Organic Krush location and my sweet potatoes were burned to a crisp....to the point of being completely inedible. Burnt food like this is highly carcinogenic and this is supposed to be a healthy eatery. The location in Roslyn always cooks their vegetables absolutely perfectly but I have gotten burnt veggies from this location before, although never this severe. The cashier was really nice, so I feel bad writing this review but it's completely unacceptable to spend almost $15 on a bowl when almost half of it was inedible. The service and food were both better last year. They didn't fill my quinoa bowl with enough quinoa and veggies to warrant the price and the people who worked there weren't that nice or helpful (in the beginning of August 2018). However, I have been here several times in the past (in 2017) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is good and I do appreciate that you can build your own bowl. I also greatly appreciate that it's organic and there are a decent amount of vegan options. The main issues I have with the food is that the cooked veggies only come cooked in a lot of oil and steaming them, or cooking them without oil, isn't an option and that they seem to be skimping a bit on how much they put in your bowl, whereas last year, they definitely gave a fair amount of food for the price. Other than the cooked veggies being too oily, the produce itself does seem to be high-quality organic and it always tastes fresh and flavorful. They have a lot of great juice options and açaí bowls as well (even though I haven't tried one yet). They also have a wide variety of fruits and veggies, which I appreciate. One other thing I'd like to mention is that they are not dog friendly, which is admittedly a bit off-putting to me and many other dog-lovers as well. Many people spend time in the Hamptons with their furry friends and like to bring them around town with them. And it's during a time of year where leaving your pup in the car to pick up an order is absolutely not an option, due to the heat. Overall, it's still a great place to stop for vegans, and basically anyone with special dietary needs, to grab a healthy bite to eat.

I was able to try some of the other products from Organic Krush, and had a better experience. I have not been able to go back into the shop yet, but will update this review once I go back. At home I was able to try the quinoa burger which was excellent. It was soft and really flavorful. The sauce that came on the side enhanced the flavor even more. I also tried some of their juices and shots, all of which I liked. The shots are a larger size than you typically see; they are probably equal to about 2.5 "shots" worth. As for the pastries, they are all gluten free which is great that they accommodate that diet, however, I personally prefer the taste of pastries that do have gluten. One perk of this restaurant is that it does accommodate many types of diets and the menu is clearly marked to indicate which items accommodate particular diets. Again, I will rate the customer service as 5 star and I'm curious to go back to the shop to try out some of the other offerings.

Activate cold-pressed juice, Coastal craft kombucha, Harmless Harvest coconut water, fresh drip coffee.

The staff was very nice and it was not their fault but, $45.00 for 2 Small Egg Burritos and 2 Latte's is ridiculous.

Truly, the cocktails and menu at this restaurant are so inventive and flavor packed it feels as if there has to be something supernatural happening in the kitchen and behind the bar. We came here in early May and sat at the bar. Dillon took great care of us, walked us through the menu and made stellar recommendations all around. After having my mind blown by the Everything Bagel Martini, we moved on to share the charred octopus and Leggy's Thighs. The charred octopus was tender, and paired so well with the citrus fruits on this plate, plus the bite of pistachios?! So well put together. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We also split the Wagyu sando which I'm literally still thinking about. Wagyu on milkbread?! What an excellent idea. Live acoustic music was going on the night we were here which really added to the cozy ambiance. They also have trivia here on Thursdays (Dillon, if you're reading this, we hope your team wins the championship). 10/10 no notes. Come here if you can get a table.

Well it was quite a disappointment! The sauce had no flavor at all and needed a lot of sauce. What makes a shakshukah great is a nice runny yoke! My friend got a semi runny yoke and I got over cooked well-done egg which was the last straw. I ate it and kept my mouth shut but I would not recommend. Not to mention that the dish was very expensive for what it is. My wife's egg sandwich was OKAY, and the only thing that looked pretty good was someone's scrambled eggs and bacon. Next time I'm in Montauk I will be skipping this place.

We were seated at a lovely table for two overlooking Main Street - watching people stroll by from that elevated perch behind glass felt almost cinematic. The real star of the show was the food, which is ultimately what you're there for, and it delivered. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming. I started with the Crispy Pig's Head as an appetizer - a bold choice that turned out to be outstanding. For my entrée, the bucatini with seacoast mushrooms, sherry, parmesan, mushroom cream, and fine herbs was perfectly cooked, and carried a subtle but deeply flavorful sauce. And the housemade sourdough with poblano honey butter? Absolutely outstanding. To be fair, our server took a little time to warm up but found their footing and gave us everything we needed. Parking in Mystic on a busy weekend night can also be a challenge and expensive. Neither is reason enough to skip this one. Ship Wright's Daughter is exactly the kind of restaurant Mystic deserves. My husband and I got married last December. We decided we would hold off on celebrating with our family and invite everyone out from California to join us for a weekend full of activities in Connecticut and a special dinner at Shipwright's Daughter during Memorial Day weekend. We contacted the restaurant's events team to work out high level details starting in late January - to book a private room and hold a date and time. From the get go, the communication we received from the event staff was dismal to say the least. Not only did the events manager misquote the estimate for the room reservation, she came back and asked for a much higher price (up charging by an additional 30% of the original minimum fee) two months after we confirmed and discussed the date. She then explained it was due to the holiday weekend. Our date had never changed from the moment we inquired, so we would have appreciated knowing this upfront. Over the course of several months (and an absurd number of emails and a few calls), we tried to solidify the menu and wine selection and made multiple attempts before hearing back from the team. It was about two weeks before the big event when we were able to confirm a menu. It was about four days before the event that we heard back from the beverage director, but by then, my husband and I had already decided we would bring our own wine bottles, not wanting to leave it to chance with this team. I won't go into further details about the frustration we felt regarding their system for communications (they use an internal system that doesn't make it easy for guests to know who is copied on emails and who sees what). That is something I hope they will work out. When the big day came, I walked into the room and noticed there were a number of chairs missing, so I counted the chairs. They had an incorrect number of chairs for adults and not enough high chairs for the toddlers. We had requested a specific number of these chairs (weeks prior and mentioned it multiple times in writing), and I thought it was safe to assume that this was a basic checklist item for events set up. I was dumbfounded in the moment. I couldn't help but wonder what else they were going to miss or mess up that evening. It was disappointing to have our family members wait while the staff scrambled to pull other chairs into the room. From the time it took to take everyone's order from the set menu, the time between courses being served, and the attentiveness for pouring water and wine - all of it was a miss. The level of hospitality that we expected from a restaurant so recognized for its incredible food and approach to sustainable sourcing was completely overshadowed by the lack of attention and care by its staff - since day one of planning this event. Even a few of our family members commented on this during the dinner. At the end of the day, we felt like an obligation rather than welcomed guests, and that is mainly why I'm leaving this review. We had been patrons of Shipwright's a couple of times prior to this event, which is why we chose this establishment - to represent the best that Connecticut has to offer, when it comes to a dining experience we could vouch for. We no longer feel that we can recommend this restaurant. If you care about hospitality, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Popped in for a quick weekend lunch since they had visibly open tables and we were seated right away. The person who showed us to our table led the way, and then dropped menus and utensils in a booth and kept walking. As soon as we made our way through the small restaurant, the absolute filth of the place was the only thing I could focus on. There were food scraps and garbage littering almost every surface of the floor. Our own table had dirty napkins, crumbs and half spilled sugar packets underneath, and the bench needed a wipe down before I could sit. Condiments on the table were dirty and if you moved them, the table was covered with crumbs underneath so no one is moving the condiments to clean. The bathroom was equally disgusting and unkempt. Despite all signs pointing to that we should've left immediately, we were hungry and had been driving for awhile. The food/drink was nothing like the other locations we've visited. In my 20 years of ordering Mimosas, I have never before been asked if I wanted a single or a double. It's prosecco, not shots. I went for the single because my expectations were low, and was presented with a weird little lowball glass of pineapple juice and a jigger of prosecco. That is completely ridiculous to cut a serving in half and call it a "single". For $12 you can buy an entire decent bottle of prosecco, and probably at least three bottles of whatever cheap they're serving. It feels like a cheat not to get a full serving. I ordered the Bootlegger for my meal which is fried chicken, melted cheese, bacon and Russian dressing on a roll. It arrived on a tiny hamburger bun with no dressing. Our server came once to ask how everything was the moment the plates were set down, and left when I told her I hadn't tried it yet. It then took about 10 minutes to obtain a side of dressing once I noticed my sandwich was dry. It was edible, but definitely not worth ever having again. My husband ordered corned beef hash and eggs, which was a plate filled with boxed potato sprinkled with pieces of corned beef. Eggs were fine. We did not use any of the condiments since it was clear they hadn't been swapped out or cleaned, and really tried to get out of this dirty environment as fast as possible. Servers were all concentrated in the bar area, some on phones clearly not busy...so it makes one wonder why no one thought to sweep the floor or wipe down a table. The state of the dining room was truly disgusting and honestly surprising. Our server barely attended to us so we opted not to bring this complaint to her directly and judging by the demeanor of the other staff, there wasn't a manger on duty. The bigger problem here is that if the public-facing front of house can look that way, I can only imagine how the kitchen is kept. We will never return to this location and sincerely hope it can be brought up to the same standards as the others.
